The courier was ace after we communicated with each other as he didn't know i had accepted his quote until the seller tx me to ask if he was still coming and i rang him to confirm. Shipley should alert providers to accepted quotes so coms can begin between both parties. Bad practice on brokers part. If the courier doesn't know his bid accepted he won't do the job.

Actual collection and delivery went according to plan. Price very fair. Comms could have been a bit better to reassure customer.

Had to chase the driver to find out what was going on so a little frustrating. Item arrived eventually late on Friday evening but driver and his assistant were perfectly helpful. It wasn't clear how the payment was to be made and it was lucky I had the cash available to pay the driver. I think the company doing the collection needs to be more open and communicative with their clients.

The site is easy to use, but when a quote is accepted, it is not clear that the "deposit" paid is actually a commission to Shiply, and the contractor receives none of that payment. The outstanding balance infers the contractor has received at least some of the "deposit". Very misleading, and I'm sure the Commerce Commission/Trading Standards people would have some interest in this issue.

Shiply was good as it helped me find a good removal company. However the commission Shiply takes seems excessive.

I didn't like the fee arrangement with shiply. Too expensive and only after you accept the quote you realise they put their extra price on top. It should be all inclusive and the courier negotiates their own rate.

Shiply could be a lot better and currently is NOT simple to use, communication with providers becomes complex because sometimes you don't hear from them. Reading the messages - they are not organised in a simple manner. You have to drill down to find them and sometimes you can easily miss messages. In my view - this could be done and managed much better for an overall excellent customer experience. Currently its an average to bad experience.

I would not use shipley again. The fee the courier charged was fine but the cut shipley took was far too high for the simple service they provide. There are plenty of couriers advertising on ebay and the web now time has gone on and if i need this service in future I'll use one of those and contact them direct or just ask around friends. Shipley adds too much to the cost, a bit like a pimp would.

Good way to reach out to people but very hard and confusing to navigate site. As a regular user of the internet for years, this site is not user friendly.

Do not like the fact that they block messages as they think shiply users are conning them out by messaging the quote providers.. Not a good sign, not trust worthy, then why have shiply!!!!!!!

The site is great..could be a bit easier to navigate...especially the mobile version.Couriers do give great prices..Unfortunately they tend to be poor at communicating.

Full marks for the concept. However, was wrong to expect customer support from this service as the person whose quote I accepted was not reachable until very late and I was forced to arrange another transporter at a significantly higher cost. Reaching out to customer support was also a pain as they are closed on Sundays! I was offered a voucher, only if I bought service through Shiply - which was of no use to me and I lost that sum too. Don't think I will try you guys, might simply try the yellow pages.
