Re MD Transport&Haulage Ltd, I wrote to them today as follows: Dear Tony , Here we are on 28th - the day you contracted to deliver my corner cupboard. And it is not going to happen. You, or someone from your office, telephoned me late yesterday (evening) to change yet again the arrangements and effectively breaking the contract. As you can see from the emails below, I had to contact you (25th) to get any information (whereas you were meant to contact me). On 26th you gave vague idea of times, but did not specify which day(s) I then queried what you meant You said 27th for collection and delivery. I.e. not the contracted date. Still on the same day you then categorically said :"Sorry for misunderstanding. We will collection between 10-12pm on 27th. Delivery 28th in the afternoon 3-5pm." Which I confirmed, at 10.33 that day. Later 3.42 pm (a Sunday remember) you reneged on the arrangement and said you could NOT pick up on 27th. On 27th having just read your email I phoned and discussed various other ideas, but eventually agreed (yet again) that we would allow you to pick up on 28th and deliver the same day. This meant I had to stay here in Oxfordshire to allow you to collect, and my wife go to Dorset to take delivery. Not at all what fits with our plans. At approximately 7.30 pm 27th you rang and again reneged on the arrangement. I remonstrated and said you would have to change/cancel other plans you had made so you could stick with the arrangement we had made earlier that day, (and my wife had already gone to Dorset of course.) I insisted you phone me back to advise when you had re-arranged other commitments. You did not phone back. I await your response to all this and am sending a copy to Shiply. Not what I expected, lots of quotes offered then with drawen, accepted one, Shipley take a deposit then one or two contacts with haulier with no real interest in delivering. Had to make alternative arrangments at further cost.

You live on another planet your website is wonky and you staff it with woodentops(Mon-Fri only)....!!! Have wasted far too much time trying to leave feedback.

There isn't any system to force the seller to give back the money if he don't complete the shipment. And the prices are higher then the normal shipping companies.

The lady in your office was rude in fact verging on ignorant towards myself regarding my collection and although these comments will probably be ignored i can safely say that myself plus a friend of mine who experienced a very similar attitude from this lady will probably not use your company again. The courier by the way was excellent. Malcolm Mellors.

Great way to find delivery people. Not great review system they ask you to give them more stars this is not how feedback works! It means you can't trust other peoples reviews if they are asked to change them!

We placed out order with you on Wednesday August 31st. We took delivery of the order on Wednesday 28th September.. This is a four week period. Does this really seem a "reasonable" delivery time?

Hi, We are very sorry to hear that your delivery did not go as planned with your chosen transport provider. We do not carry out the deliveries ourselves, but rather, much like a shopping mall, we act as a neutral venue for consumers and transport companies to meet and transact. Just like the shopping mall example, every now and then transactions don’t go 100% smoothly and you need to resolve these issues directly with the retailer / transport company in this case. We do also operate a feedback rating system, where users can leave positive/negative/neutral feedback after each transaction which can help users with their decision on who they choose to transact with. It was not so much that I had a bad experience as when I have used Shiply in the past it has been fine. On this occasion I had a 3 kg box which needed taking from Leicestershire to London - Shiply couriers wanted between £40 and £124. UPS did it for £13 delivered it the next day and insured it. Obviously I went for UPS.

Your "delivery driver" turned up with a large empty van with NO PROVISION for transporting bikes!!!just the very cheapest nasty tiedowns.he didnt have any identification he didnt kbow how to secure a bike i fixed the bike i almost sent him away he then was going to drive off without any form off paperwork offered to show he had taken bike just bad as it could be wont be using you again

The delivery driver was very unreliable at informing us about when he could collect it, all parties ended up chasing the driver for more information. We eventually got it delivered at 10:30 on a Friday night after a phone call at 8pm this same night. Very stressful experience.
