Although I was very pleased with the service provided by A1van I was very concerned hat Shiply gave him wrong information about my location in spite of me giving them the correct address and postcode. Fortunately he contacted me to check. This should not happen with postcodes.

Price went up after paying deposit, delivered on wrong day!

The courier didn't turn up to collect the item on the day agreed. I had no contact from them until I emailed the following day; they then sent me a revised collection date a full week later. There was no apology. When the collection was made the cash balance of the cost was refused; when I explained that this was the agreed process they phoned 'the office' and were told that no payment was due. Some days later I was contacted by phone and asked to pay the outstanding balance by card (This contact was courteous and apologetic). So far as I know the delivery arrangements went ok, but the whole process took nearly three weeks from collection to delivery, which was disappointing.

Value proposition is fairly simple here. Get better deals with UPS because of a company rate I assume. They operate as a 3rd party that gives you access to better rates with UPS, the collection and drop off are fairly complicated therefore, if you work during office hours. Terms of dispatch, and delivery etc. of UPS are therefore applied which can be difficult if you moving houses and have a lot of items you'd like to ship. I had issues with the delivery as a parcel got lost which I was accused to be responsible for as they claim the tag was not attached properly, even though it was accepted by the collector (UPS), wherein every single parcel has to be scanned individually and inspected accordingly. The incomplete delivery was not covered by the insurance as I was not able to claim in time (the parcel got delivered weeks later which was too late according to them) due to the fact that one of the parcels got lost and found weeks later - so I could not influence any of that. Overall the communication was fairly good and they were very responsive, but I personally don't recommend it if you expect a moving company rather than dispatch service. If you have valuable, emotional and monetarily wise goods to ship, I'd rather recommend you a direct provider that is actually transporting the goods.

The pick up and delivery of furniture etc was very good UNFORTUNATELY the furniture was removed from the van overnight at the company's depot so that the van could be sent elsewhere on a job. Then loaded onto another van to take stuff to me. My furniture was left somewhere outside it appears and not properly covered so some of the boxes were soaking wet and coming apart and the sofa and padded chairs also. Not from the drizzle during transfer from van to my new address but saturated. If you are considering using this company arrange for sameday delivery. More straightforward.

Additional time and paperwork was required by the company we chose, thus delaying the shipping of our cargo by a number of days, these docs and other information required by the company (Gislain) were not specified on their Shiply page. If this could be fixed I would use Shiply again.

The guy was friendly so I don't want to be unduly negative but the whole experience was worrying and I wouldnt use this service again. It all seemed so unofficial although my box did eventually arrive safely and the price was reasonable. I think in hindsight I would rather have paid more for a well known courier as was strange handing over a heavy valuable box to a man in a van (who said it wasnt him delivering it) and receiving no receipt. If price is your main priority, youre not a stickler for regulations and the delivery isnt urgent then this is probably a good deal.

Agreed delivery with a vendor via shiply whom had a good feedback rating. Terrible communication from the guy after I paid the "deposit." A 72hrs promise of delivery turned into 10days. He would not let me know any details of collection. Messed me around so much. After collection He then demanded full payment by bank transfer before he would give me back my bike! I looked EVERYWHERE for details of how i could contact Shiply for advice... And of course you were no where to be found. Once Shiply had their money they wuite obviously didn't care about me. Nothing but excuses to be read on your site. Highly dissapointed, a bad experience all in all. I will look at all other options before using Shiply again.

I cancelled the acceptance made of the quote for shipping just hours after paying a deposit which Shiply are very quick to take. Despite asking for a refund, as I had made alternative arrangements for the shipment, I received no reply and no refund. Website very difficult to use. The number of quotes for shipping was positively impressive, but in view of this episode I would hesitate to either recommend or use them again.

No contact from courier to say when item would be collected. When I got in touch I was told rather curtly that, as per the Ts and Cs, it could take up to 15 working days for collection. The delivery was then going to take another week or so. I cut my losses (deposit) and went elsewhere for delivery within a couple of days at less than the original quote. Maybe I was just unlucky...

Communication was very bad, didn't return calls, so making arrangements for collection was difficult, delivered the machine which was very heavy to be fair, but rather than help me get it into my shop, they just dropped it outside and left it for me to struggle to get it in. I probably would pay a little extra next time and get somebody more professional.

Had a problem with getting in to site with my e mail, and a conversation with the person at Shiply was like talking to a computer as in 'the computer says no' type of response. Eventually, after paying Shiply about 20% for doing not a lot,I dealt direct with driver. Not happy.

Will not use this contractor again, poor com's, van broke down & no replacement ( had to wait days longer until it was repaired). furniture was damaged where it had been in & out of the van to access other items. Not packed or restrained in van. Very disappointing considering the first class service I have previously received from Shiply contractors.
