Overall a decent enough service. Comms were alright. The delivery guy was discourteous, but he did deliver the parcel, so guess he did his job.

Generally ok, but when it comes to ask to write a review, shiply becomes very annoying. Stop doing that. Just in case somebody might actually read this.

for starters not really sure who this review is for is it for the courier who delivered my item or is it for this website if its for the website then you could make it easier by pointing out who the review is for secondly when i picked the courier and payed the deposit it then takes you to collection and delivery details where you check to make sure the address and contact details are correct well on the collection details the address and post code were wrong but for some reason could only change the street name and couldn't change the post code and on the delivery address i put my post code in and it put up the wrong city so the website is not up to scratch i gave a normal rating just in-case this review was about the courier Ajay Transport the driver Jason Fletcher who really i would give a very good rating as he was very polite and delivered the goods on the day and time exactly and at a very good price as for the website rating i would give a generous poor rating

Hello I have phoned emailed the company who won the bid for moving my coffee table I accepted paid the £10 deposit but I think there's a problem I put a postcode to pick up and a postcode for delivery and it came up wrong but I have corrected it and haven't heard yet thank you Margaret bode mam 1921dance

The cost of the service is expensive. Eventhough the carriers' quotes may be very reasonable, Shiply takes a high percentage of each transaction. In my opinion, Shiply's charges are too high. If you have accepted a carrier's quote and paid the deposit to Shiply, and then the carrier cannot actually do the job, you will not get a refund, eventhough it is not your fault. Shiply only provides a credit to your account (valid for only 6months) which in my case is useless as I only use Shiply one a year or every couple of years. I have therefore lost over £20.

basically a horrible middle man that makes courriers bid low prices for your wares and takes a part of the money for organising it it works but there's room for someone to build a better service

Our bed was delivered in good condition, but I did have to make contact to enquire when the bed would be delivered. I knew it had been collected as the seller informed me, but the delivery company did not get in touch to let me know when it would be delivered. The bed was picked up from the seller on the 29th July and delivered to me on the 11th August.

Worked OK. One glitch + suggested improvement . . . when I filled in the original quote form, it asked for a post code. I didn't know the exact post code, so I guessed. When I then came to provide the final, correct, collection address . . . the bl**dy form wouldn't let me put the correct post code in (as this would be a change from the original form). I can see the logic behind doing it this way (otherwise you could enter CA1 and then change to CA20 - adding 45 miles and 1.5 hours to the journey . . ). However, my suggestion would be to add 2 'radio buttons' next to the original post code entry field, one for 'guess' and one for 'confirmed'. Then, when it comes to entering the final post code (after acceptance of the quote, if you enter a different post code, it either works out the distance in miles, and ignores any difference under 8 miles, or lets the van driver re-quote).

Couldn't fault how helpful the two guys who turned up were! However we had said to bring a trolly as the items were heavy and we live down a path. No trolly for the poor guys was provided, not even lifting straps! They were extremely helpful but I didn't feel the delivery was particularly safe for them or the items we bought. I also had no confirmation they were delivering after I'd paid my deposit, despite sending an email. All in all a very reasonably priced service but a little chaotic! Wouldn't say a bad experience but not sure I'd use again either.

Whilst the delivery man was very polite and the sofa was delivered promptly, he worked alone so I felt obliged to help him carry the sofa from the vehicle so that it would not be damaged. I would not normally expect to do this and would have thought that two people was a requirement for deliveries of heavy furniture.

Good and useful, but commission is too high. £58 on a £320 deal is too high in my opinion.

Disappointed in the number of quotes and I had to pay £4.99 to upgrade to get any quotes at all.

Good website, access to quite a few service providers. However, would be much better to monitor some quote providers as one had quite non-professional attitude and put me off to accept his quote though quite a bit cheaper! There was another chap who quote far less then the actual job and when asked a question stated 'I will try and fit what I can in my single van!!'..........Not something one would like to say if doing serious business. I would suggest Shiply to keep any eye on such people and blacklist them for their own good sake and also for the site users.
