Have mixed views ,I did find a brilliant company to help,but only at the last minute.wasn't impressed with how I had to advertise the job(unable to give exact job description) No security on web site major no no ,as a company in London phoned me out of the blue,had all my personal details and my daughters.how the hell did that happen! Shiply forgot to mention they take almost a quarter of job fee for themselves.will I use them again not sure ,sorry guys clean up your security first.this used to be my job back in the80's/90's not impressed

Positives: The items arrived intact though a bit scratched where wrapping had been torn off, and the courier changed plans without charge when the collection address given to me was incorrect. Negatives: It took around 2 weeks to deliver. Apparently their van kept breaking down.

We found the site easy an efficient method of finding a cost effctive means of transporting a 2nd hand Rangecooker from Southern England to the North East.I would not hesitate to use or recommend the site .Thanks Jim Slasor

Excellent way to find a shipper, lots of responses. The person I chose was pleasant and shipped efficiently and at an affordable price. I was reassured that no third party was involved - the person who collected was the person who delivered, important for me. Only point of difficulty was that I didn't understand that the amount Shiply deducted was the payment to Shiply, however I got my shipping problem solved and I was happy with the service.

No great communicators. Be good if they could return calls promptly, but they got the job done.

Collection went ok although the driver didn't speak English so there was a bit of confusion when he arrived. Delivery was problematic as driver wanted someone to assist him with bringing the goods into the office which was not possible

it's a process that works well. You need to remember when you're using it that it's a lot cheaper than scheduled delivery, thus you have to fit in with their rounds (my item was collected on a Sunday at 5pm). There's no point in getting upset. It also helps to be truthful in what you want to ship/what you can ship (it works both ways)...

I accepted their Quote for a quick delivery but apparently, the van broke down on the way to collect and, apparently, the van was borrowed by someone else when due to deliver. I emphasised from the outset this was a two person delivery as item was heavy but having accepted the quote was told it would be an extra £30 for the second man. I stuck with the original price. Pleasant young men but maybe have to brush up a little on business skills.

Organising the delivery and timings was all very good and easy. Lots of communication. We were in a very out of the way difficult village and the fact that they found us on time was impressive. However they had clearly lost time and were in a hurry to leave again, leaving me with a Butlers sink I couldn't lift on my own in the street. Fortunately a passer by helped me lift the sink into my car but I felt that actually they could have been more helpful on point of delivery.

Not always easy to inderstand what is going on, ie what is a "ticket"? Could not down load photos without sending them to the office by email, (despite the site confirming the down load satisfactory)! Only contact by email, nobody to talk to. Having said all that it did provide a good quote from a very proffesional company - Teelogistics, so it all worked in the end!

They where very obscure about times and dates not committing to a date or Time until the day before with no advance notice. Wouldn't take the item upstairs as they said it was a 3 man job to my wife, and they struggled to get from the van to my living room. Me and my wife managed to get it up stairs with no problem it wasn't overly heavy or a 3 man job in my opinion. However I did like the way the Shiply site works the fact I can enter the eBay item on and the bidding system works excellently so I would use again and have recommended the site to friends and family.

Obviously it was a useful service and when I rang the office they were very helpful. But the website and the process are quite CLUNKY. It's confusing and frustrating trying to understand the quotes coming in. For example messages are not easy to organise and seemed to be in different places. The message trail was difficult to read/poorly presented. One supplier's messages ONLY came to my email and NOT to my Shipley inbox all adding to the feeling of confusion and disorganisation. The overview of new and past messages was difficult to manage. Therefore it was difficult and annoying when trying to communicate my moving job to suppliers. I mean it was only 4 non running cars in one go, not an unusual job really. All in all it worked out fine and I found a good car transporting guy. But it wasn't easy! Ok it's Saturday and my head hurts now, I usually get paid for this kind of effort.....good luck!
