Problems in communication which led to late pickup/ delivery and item scuffed/ damaged on arrival. However courier was pleasant and polite at all times and delivery was very reasonably priced.

Booking the shipment was fine and I obtained a reasonable quotation. The actual delivery was a disaster however as I was shipping a delicate musical instrument, a Bassoon, to Australia. I specifically requested sea freight as a Bassoon must not travel in the hold of a plane, the humidity, temperature and low pressure will damage the woodwork, causing micro-cracks, and will alter the timbre of the instrument. Thus I was very surprised to hear that it had been delivered after a week. I have yet to have the damaged assessed but a delicate and very expensive item has been put at huge risk. Not a happy customer

The staff were polite and they delivered with care. However, it was difficult to contact the delivery company as their contact number never worked. Therefore it was slow to organise pick up and delivery dates.

So far haven't received refund of deposit paid for carrier being unable to fulfilling agreement. Second courier, ehs was excellent in every way. - Pity ja couriers let us down and as a result would make us hesitant about your couriers in future. Please advise when refund has been processed,

Well priced delivery service although can take 7 to 10 days to arrive, and only informed of of delivery the same day as delivering. Would be better if a phone call was made to state date of delivery at least the day before.

Used to transport ebay purchase from Cornwall to Glasgow - efficient and polite service w good communication/liaison with both seller and buyer re pickup and delivery.

As soon as I had booked all contact stopped, no one let me know when my parcel was due, txts & emails totally ignored. when it did arrive the person was very nice but it has put me right off using a carrier again as we were stuck in the house for days in case they called to say they were delivering in the next hour or so.

The item I required delivering thru you was not delivered as the carrier had received the wrong postcode and was unable to deliver. I have sent you the details and require a refund of the £12 paid to you, I will withhold my review until I have received a reply from you. Regards. Chris Wearden

after excepting pick up date was changed when told driver was on way to pick up it happened the next morning told made a mistake and not in my area untill the week then told Thursday then oppligised and told Friday so 3 days later than originality stated picked up and a week later than originality agreed drop off but friendly driver told me when was 15 mins away and goods in fine condition just times and promises broke to get the order

Used it a couple of times. The service doesn't really do much. It is just an introduction to couriers. As soon as you agree a quote and pay Shipley a large fee, you are on your own. As I did not get many quotes and they were quite expensive, I probably will go to a courier direct next time.

Shiply is a useful service HOWEVER if a customer doesn't leave a review for the delivery company, they automatically get a positve review. I think this skews things as I recently had an atrocious experience from a seemingly well reviewed company - upon closer inspection, many of their 'positive' reviews were simply automated responses.

Shilpey website was unable to process the form asking for sender/receiver details, it just went back to the beginning over and over. However I got good quotes and was able to ring Galley with the phone numbers addresses etc. They were communicative and helpful. Shipley's website wasted a lot of my time and didn't resolve my online problem effectively
