The finished look was let down by a couple of points. 1. one of the drawer handles did not hold it's screw thread so was always loose. 2. the bedside drawers did not fit properly when closed - a half inch gap at the top when the bottom shut properly. This could only be seen when viewed from the side but we knew it was there. The fitter told us he's one of the top 3/5 fitters in the country and we were lucky to have him. He was very good and the cutting was excellent - however, for some one rated so highly, he should have noticed the two issues above. When I pointed the handle out to the fitter (by email) he told me that one has been ordered and should be with me shortly. It was and I fitted it myself. The delivery was excellent, though 1 part was damaged and one top was too short and was reordered. Fortunately we're both retired so didn't need to take extra time off. The design was quite good but have to be adjusted following the surveyors visit as the initial design wouldn't fit. Over all I'm happy with the look and space created and would recommend to friends / family but with the proviso that they stay close to the whole project.

This was our second Sharps bedroom and although we are fairly happy with the finished product, we would not use the firm again as we feel that the customer service has deteriorated significantly since our first order. The salesman appeared excellent but he told us that the surveyor would bring with him a full range of samples for us to choose our final product. The surveyor told us that he carries nothing and that the salesman knows that! Consequently we had to chose from the catalogue. Next problem was delivery which took about 5 weeks. Although the delivery van has "Sharps" down the side, the driver was at pains to point out that he is not employed by Sharps and just get told what to do! They insisted on delivering 10 days before installation and setting all the pieces out as in a diagram from Sharps. In a one bedroom flat, this was extremely inconvenient but customer convenience had no significance. It could all have been laid out much better so that we didn't have to climb over it but no, that was not allowed! Finally, the fitter. He told us that he had no jobs the previous week and therefore could easily have fitted it sooner at a time more convenient to us! He fitted it ok but didn't mention that he had cracked an electric socket in the process. He fitted the middle door to slide in the opposite direction to the way we had requested and was quite put out when I asked him to change it, telling me quite grumpily that he couldn't see what difference it made which way the door went. Well I could and surely that should be what counts! Also our top shelf is not as we expected it to be (much narrower) which means that the boxes we wanted to put on it and which we had shown the surveyor do not fit properly. Fitter said he could only fit the pieces supplied and he doesn't work for Sharps so to take it up with them. I filled in the sign-off form he gave me and added a comment that we were not happy with the shelf but 4 months later we have heard nothing. Overall, I have marked our experience as acceptable based on the fact that the finished product is OK but on a customer service rating I would give it a "very poor"

The finished product looks brilliant and it's great storage. The fitting was well done. I wasn't pleased at having to get rid of any waste myself or that there was no way Sharps could help remove old shelves and fittings that were in place, for the price of the product I would have expected a more complete service.

The designer and engineer were helpful and friendly. This was the second bedroom where we have used Sharps as we were happy with the service last time. However, this time was very different, the state that the wardrobe was left in after the fitter came was not up to standard and certainly not what I expected for the price! The shelves were not cleaned, there were pencil marks all over the inside and lots of gaps that were not filled. My wife came back to find the fitter reading a paper and saying that he was finished - clearly no pride in the finished work. The customer services team were also appalling, we had our appointment changed twice despite making arrangements to be home. We also could not get hold of the team to make the final payment by credit card and were forced to pay a cheque. I filled out the feedback form explaining my frustrations with the finished product and they did not have the courtesy to even call me back to obtain any more information or apologise but they did send me a letter asking me for my review via this website. Overall, we were happy with the wardrobes (after thoroughly cleaning them ourselves!) but the experience has left us not wanting to use Sharp's again.

I would like to echo Ms Stewart’s review(2 June), poor customer service, rubbish left behind & not collected as promised by the fitter. However good job done by the fitter & pleased with the final result if not substantially overpriced.

We were sold one thing. The surveyor who came out then told us we couldn't have a walk in design in white - it had to be wood finish, so we ended up with something different. Despite our clear instructions that we were not in country for fitting we were told at the last minute the existing cupboard needed to be ripped out, plastered and carpets pulled up. Then they wanted us on site for delivery - which we couldn't be. Then needed to be on site for installation - which we couldn't be. None of their departments speak to each other. The final straw was their fitters were incredibly rude to the young builder who opened the house for them. The end product looks very good however, but it is a shame we had lots of trouble beforehand.

Excellent end product - well made and really fit in well with our existing decor - designer did a great job! Only negative points were around the amount of 'waste' material left by the fitter which we had to dispose of and lots of dust left on our new carpets which had to be cleaned extensively

I recently bought sliding door wardrobes and bedside tables for my bedroom and overall the service from sharps was good. The only thing that disappointed me was the sales man told me I could have a lot more in the space that I have in my bedroom compared to what the design consultant told me. Had I seen the design consultant from the outset I might have thought differently when it came to choosing the style of furniture. The overall quality is good. The wardrobes are expensive so I'm hoping they stay in the condition that they are presently in for many years to come.

The salesman that arrived was full of it measured the space wrong, took our deposit and lost it . He was the let down of this service. On the plus side the joiner that came to fit wardrobes was 1st class workmanship was superb. Would recommend.

I am happy with the design and everything. This experience could have been made more pleasant by the better customer service provided by the professional who came for the survey. He needs more training how to pleasantly deal with the customer and how to coordinate among the different teams of own department.

Cheap white melamine board for interior, cheap white melamine boards used for filler boards with joints un even and plenty of decorators cork To fill all the gaps and smeared across the face, which by the way is now shrunk and cracked. Doors are alright to be fair, just a shame they don't clean the glue off when they stick the edge ban on . Then at £2700 at least something looks like they try somewhere. If the fitter takes a day, which is good going . That's not bad profit for the company being that white melamine board costs sod all. They give you the impression that they re the uk leaders. The fitter was alright, but then he can only work with what he gets. No follow up or phone call. Would I use again? No . Oh and I had to take all the of cuts to the tip myself, 2 car loads.............

I had my small bedroom made into a walk-in wardrobe, the finish was a little disappointing. The installation turned into a nightmare, the fitter said it would take two days, on the last day he said he would be finished by 6 pm then he said just another hour, and this went on until 11 pm, when I had to ask him to leave as it was so late, my husband was very ill at the time, we could not get to our bedroom for him to go to bed as the landing was blocked with large pieces of wood, plus all the noise, he had to come back the next day which is not what he wanted to do, he finally went about 11-30 pm. I was very pleased with my daughters wardrobe in here bedroom and thought 4 months later would have exactly the same wardrobe in my room. But when the man came out and priced for it and do the drawings the quote was more for the same he said it was due to the high ceiling and he never put it on the last quote. One of the ladies at my work place at around the same time had a quote for wardrobes, bedside cabinets, dressing table chest of draws quote from sharps and her quote was so much better than mine. I think the quotes differ a lot. It seems.
