Had to have whole of fronts frames replaced and they done a worst job than first time they done wouldn't recommend poor quality and workmanship

We've been waiting for our two wardrobes to be fitted since January. The cost £1,780. The fitter should have arrived at 09.00hrs this morning, but no one has turned up and Sharpes haven't contacted me. I've phoned them three times since 09.40hrs, and on my last call I was informed that the person dealing with my failed fitter wasn't at his desk but he should call me shortly - before 12 noon!, To be totally honest I really wouldn't recommend Sharpes to anyone. The salesman was very pushy, and started to get annoyed when he thought he was losing his sale. The surveyor seemed balshy when he turned up, and the annoying thing was that he opened my bedside drawers whilst in the room - these are not being replaced and were nothing to do with the fitting.

Just had a wardrobe fitted in our bedroom. The process took over 3months from their 1st visit to the final installation because they were very busy. The quality of the finish is not bad but with a problem. The doors are of the wrong size. We have high ceiling and they are fitted some low ceiling doors in our high ceiling bedroom. Their surveyor did start calling on my mobile while I was abroad on holiday to say that the frame would be 12inches lower than the agreed dimension which I thought meant the whole wardrobe would be lower than the ceiling and said OK in order to avoid any further delay. But when the installation completed, what I have is this: the top shelf is 18inch high x 24inch deep and 4m long. When the door is slid open, a slot of only 6inch opens at the bottom of 18inch. The rest is obstructed by solid wooden frame. The space which can hold 8 large suitcases is almost rendered useless by this ridiculous design. Imagine a box whose one side should be completely slide-able to have access to its inside. What Sharps design has given us is only the bottom 1/3rd of this side can open and the top 2/3rd is not a door and still a box. Is this called a 'fitted' wardrobe?

Our fitted wardrobe I have no complaints with. However, I contacted a DEBBIE GOODWIN, at Sharps to get a quote for having some additions. DEBBIE GOODWIN never replied to my mail. After a reminder 3 weeks later DEBBIE GOODWIN replied to say she would look at my mail as soon as she could. After another reminder a further three weeks later she replied asking me to send the drawing again but that she was out of the office fro another week, so don't bother expecting a reply. Well done, DEBBIE GOODWIN. Great customer service! Does your boss know, or does he train you to treat customers like that? I had already contacted a local joiner to do the work for me. At least he reads my mails and replies.

My previous experience of fitted furniture was Hammonds. Where they cut it in the factory to your exact specifications & fit it with little fuss excellent service .i assumed sharps were similar .The finished product in there show rooms were impressive .unfortunatley I found the experience traumatic .to my surprise (none of this was explained )they cut it all on the premises. I was asked to remove everything out of the room by the surveyor & told the reason being hey had to build a tower due to the height of the ceilings as it turned out this was not the case.It began one young man arrived hoodie & all just rolled out of bed he didn't speak good english although he was very polite he was continually apologising just saying sorry all the time . Every single piece was cut inside the room the whole place was covered in sawdust .There had been no previous warning of this if I had been given the option I most certainly would not have gone ahead . As it was he started so he finished it was a nightmare coming back each day to a film of sawdust everywhere the actual floor of the room was thick & not fully cleared till the end thus leaving the rest of the place caked in sawdust .Finally the nightmare ended . I had requested shoe racks but then told there was not enough space & settled for shelves as they do not put backs inside unlike hammonds I expected at least the finish would've been better .All the screws were exposed .you could see the raw wood inside & gaps where it should've been finished off professionally especially considering the price they do not come lcheap . The handles are dreadful & still falling off constantly . They did send me a couple in the post one of which was smashed . In comparison to Hammonds I found the salesman was much more pressured & didn't deliver what he promised also he was impossible to contact with any problems . I was glad to see the back of sharps . I feel compelled to tell people to avoid this experience

Just had sharps sonota bedroom fitted which is supposed to be top of the range. The designer came told us what we needed gave us a price and it was just like pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The price was incredible but lo and behold they had an offer on which is a very poor sales technique. Then the surveyor came spent 2 hours in our home and it's back to the drawing board, we eventually settled on just having 2 wardrobes fitted. We were told from outset that all bedrooms are bespoke and made in the sharps factory which was not true the doors are made of wood with an oak veneer and imported and the rest of the wardrobes cheap as chips chipboard and moulded MDF . Not what you would expect for the amount of money . Let us hope that the 12 year guarantee never ends to be claimed on. I would not recommend this company or its product to anyone

We have just had a wardrobe and bedroom furniture installation completed we have no complaints about the final workmanship and the fitter was great. However the service sharps have provided from the start has been abysmal. The original designer took 4 hours to come up with a drawing. When this was checked a week later by the surveyor it was found that most of what he had designed would not work and would not fit into the space we had. It took a second visit by another designer and another surveyor before we finally had any idea on what we could have. Even so there were still issues with the second design that needed sorting. We were promised a delivery date and a fitting start date neither of which were kept to. When the fitter started he found design and measurement problems that he had to deal with on the spot or ask us what we thought. When you try and contact anybody from Sharps you get the run around and when told a manager would be calling it never materialises so you have to call again and again. When the wood etc was delivered the wall in our bedroom that had been newly plastered and painted was gouged when they just dropped sheets of wood on it. Overall had we know before what I know know I would avoid using Sharps as there are plenty of people out there who are better and cheaper. Their customer service is dreadful.

Think twice before buying from Sharps Bedrooms, I wouldn’t use them again! I had wardrobes fitted by Sharps last week and I have to say they aren’t worth the £4.5k I paid! I expected good quality product and service, not poor quality materials and even poorer attitude from the customer services department. Even at half the price they’d be too expensive, given the majority of the construction is from cheap chipboard! The design built wasn’t to the salesman / surveyors sketch, however they refused to accept this and even put the onus back onto me for signing the drawing. They didn’t return calls or acknowledge emails until I threatened to report the issues to the finance company, even then I still had to chase up. They’ve finally acknowledged there’s a design issue and offered a token rather than true refund. Added to that and for your troubles the installer will leave you several bags of rubbish on your door step for you to get rid of, including panels nearly 3 metres long. Not what you’d expect when paying so much money!

Initial sales pitch was excellent. Then the survey visit completely revised both the layout, the price and the product range chosen. Fitting date was also revised. Error made in fitting and still waiting 6 weeks later for this to be remedied. Customer service shocking - told they were very busy and I was causing them problems!!!!! Don't be fooled by this company; they over promise and under deliver

Oh dear , my experience has been awful and today, my wardrobes were fitted. Not what I ordered and look awful. Fitter just said he was doing what he was given. Showed him the design I had signed for but did not care. Left all his rubbish and stacks of spare wood!! Do not use Sharps, there do not care about their customers.

I have worked for this company. They are Thieves. We where told we could discount up to 58% if needed to. Why should someone save 58% and somebody else save 50% on exactly the same product ?? Its wrong.

Very poor customer service. I've been waiting for sharps to come and finish the job they have started but have failed to do anything about it. Customer service clearly just take messages and problems don't get solved. I've taken 5 days off work losing money as in self employed, yet they say their fitters won't come at 6pm to finish a simple job. Buck up your ideas sharps! Also I've had 8 promised phone calls back and I get nothing.

Thought I was ordering a super wardrobe but I was totally wrong. Sales guy sold me a design which I didn't get - customer service is mon existent - caused damage to a newly decorated room. I was told fit would be 2/3 days now in 4th month and still not sorted. Avoid Sharps bedrooms and go anywhere else!!

So far very un impressed. Designer was lovely and came when arranged and was brilliant with problems that may have caused issue. The surveyor on the other hand... had to wait over a month from seeing the designer to even getting an appointment for the surveyor... rush home from work on the day surveyor is meant to arrive to be told after my 3rd time of phoning that he wouldn't be coming as he had been delayed on a previous job and surveyor 're arranged for a further two weeks... in the meantime I don't know what to do with regards to decorating or fitting my new carpet as not had any dates as to when sharps bedrooms are even going to start the work. Really really not sure I would recommend sharps bedrooms to anyone ever.

Looks like a cheap wardrobe. Can see joins, Hinges poor quality. Doors light and flap open. A side wardrobe is for display not clothes. Not what we wanted. Ripping it out and going with Hammond wardrobes. Lost £2600.

The worst customer service , surveyor didnt turn up the 1st time and the 2nd time was over 2 hours late with no phone call. We have paid our deposit and since then things have gone down hill . The surveyor has informed us that what we were told on the original consultation has to be altered and surfaces would have a join and one of the wardrobe doors could only slide one way if we want soft close, not what we were led to believe. We havent yet had the bedroom fitted and were now wishing we had never agreed to go ahead. This company has from the beginning told us what a quality product they supply , that has yet to be seen, as the customer service has been poor quality.

At first I was very impressed with Sharps as they were very responsive and on time for the first meeting. Things quickly went downhill from there. The designer didn't turn up for the following meeting and was then late for the subsequent one. The designs he came up with were great but I was then told by the surveyor (who was very nice about it) that Sharps wouldn't be able to actually produce the designs as they were against policy. We therefore had to cancel some of the orders. We are still waiting for the remaining wardrobes to be supplied and fitted but I am not holding my breath. So far Sharps have shown themselves to be thoroughly inflexible and far from helpful. I would not recommend them.

Extremely Poor Customer Service! In january I requested a home visit for walk in wardrobe planning. Sharps booked it for 7pm the following Thursday, that day I realised that I had not had a confirmation, I duly rang Sharps to be told that the appointment had been cancelled due to ill health which is fair enough, but when were they going to tell me? Sharps rebooked the appointment for the following Thursday at 7pm.....by 7.30 no show, I called Sharps at 7.45 to ask if their representative was lost delayed....was told by Sharps that if the rep hadn't shown by now then the appointment probably wasn't going ahead...they promised to look into this & get back to me on Friday.....no call...chased.. few day s later again no call I chased.......chased.....no call.....chased....still calling them 3 weeks later as I believe I am due some sort of explanation surely? Same drivel each time from various employees at Sharps head office " I can only apologise, I don't know whats happened here, I will get someone to call you" Its now almost a month later and I am still waiting. Sharps obviously don't want or need my business.

For our new born coming we ordered quite a bit of work to be carried on from Sharp Bedroom. We decided to go with them because we decided to trust a big brand even if more expensive. At first we thought they were behaving professionally, this until the moment of fitting our order. Everything that could have been done wrong... It actually went. Wrong measurements lead to have to rethink the entire design, wrong handles, useless elements not fitting with the given brief, a true nightmare. After a formal complain, we got a guy coming to carrying on an assessment, few weeks later we received a call that we got a compensation discount for the inconvinient 300 pounds over 6500 because what we claimed wasn't written in the contract! Ergo, if you decide to go with them, pretend to record every single requirement.

Like many others who have written reviews on here, I was taken in by very plush advertising, excellent sales staff and a very tempting high-finish catalogue. Sales staff at the local Homebase in Northampton were extremely helpful and competent, however unfortunately from that point on my (So far) dealings with Sharps have gone steadily downhill... The designer visited and created us a very nice (And well drawn - my word that took awhile) design, which was on my Birthday ... she drank cappuccinos and shared birthday cake and all was lovely. However after we had negotiated for the relevant discounts, introductory offers (And lighting.... I can be quite devious when it comes to negotiation!) and signed up to say we were happy with everything offered, we made an appointment for the surveyor to visit. The surveyor was a good chap - I'm an engineer so I'm used to talking "engineer" and we discovered that the designer had got the measurements wrong. We re-designed correctly and further negotiated a "no extra cost" solution.... happy days as they say. Not so - the surveyor had to visit again, and we finally finalised the deal. Including arranging delivery and installation dates which worked perfectly... school holidays as that is the only time we can attend the house for the installers. 2 days before the agreed delivery was due, a call from Sharps....... this time talking about dates farther into the future. We called and were told that Sharps have "lost" the initial dates and that we would have to call the next day for rescheduled dates. We did.... and were promptly (And somewhat curtly!) told that our "case" was going into a planning meeting and nothing further could be said until that was done - bearing in mind that this "planning meeting" would take place AFTER the originally agreed delivery time and day, with Leave from work booked and the school holidays (Where we should have no problems accommodating the fitters) looming. Our room is prepared exactly as Sharps require - no easy feat when you actually have to live in the house at the same time! So we now have no wardrobes or clothes storage for ourselves, our clothes are scattered in various boxes etc throughout the house, our bedroom furniture is stored.....erm..... SOMEWHERE or other and we have a bedroom carpet rolled up in another room blocking doorways........ and still no resolution from a very unhelpful Customer Services department at Sharps. To add to that I have emailed and to date have no response - not even an automated one!! Thanks Sharps!!!! If I hadn't gone so far down the line already I'd cancel and go to a company that actually does care........... actually come to think of it...............
