Avoid this company!! I had a design visit in Dec. 2015 and paid a deposit on 2 fitted wardrobes, a chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables & an ottoman. The surveyor attended quickly following my design visit and advised me I would wait 2 - 3 weeks for installation to start. 2 MONTHS later and many phonecalls from me later I finally got a date. Sharps plan their work 1 week in advance, meaning customers get less than a weeks notice to arrange time off work etc. The delivery was scheduled 2 days before the fitter started work (another day off work). The delivery consisted of cheap laminated chipboard and the wardrobes had no backs or sides!! I knew that backs weren't included, but I was told there would be sides, therefore day 1 of installation was cancelled whilst they ordered the sides and replacement of the 2 damaged doors, and the fitter went home. The following week a date was rescheduled. I had to ask my dad to travel down to my house to be here to let the fitter in, as I had to work (more inconvenience). The bedroom was finally installed 3 days later. I'm left with poor quality furniture, not worth a tenth of the £4200 I paid for it. There are chips to the frame of the wardrobe and damage to the ottoman, and 3 car loads of wood, damaged doors and rubbish to dispose of, because Sharps don't even take the waste away!! Complete waste of money and I would give them zero stars if it was possible.

They really should take the rubbish away afterwards. There is no excuse for this. The fitter was in a car much bigger than mine!

Everything gone wrong after salesman left our house. Lack of communication from customer service, damaged materials delivered for installation, fitter was poor (walking in muddy shoes around house and fitting damaged items), whole thing took nearly 3 weeks instead of 1.5 days. Rubbish collection took weeks... Wardrobe still not right, and now after 12 months Sharps recognise fact they need to come out put things right. Stay away from this Company - absolute rip off!!! Never again!!

Had a full main bedroom installation carried out in January 2016 and after checking work found doors not aligned, a plinth had been cut to short and in general work was of a poor standard. Sharps had to come back three times to carry out rectification work. We now have another bedroom to be fitted out but will not use Sharps again.

The initial visit and bedroom design had to be undertaken off site as we had no access to the property we were buying. The process was helpful and relied measurements we had provided. The order was held until completion and a tentative fitting date agreed. As soon as purchase was complete the surveyor called, identified one measurement error and I was pleased that a slight modification was made without any fuss. The fitting of the extensive wardrobes , drawers etc in the bedroom went ahead smoothly and we are very pleased with the outcome. This is the fourth Sharps bedroom we have had fitted in various houses which speaks for itself JOHN MICHAEL GELDER

Following my initial contact, the designer visited to draw up my requirements. He made me aware of the minimum charge (which should have been pointed out in my initial phone call). The designer helpfully added a further item to bring the work over the £1500 minimum. I had asked for a delay before installation and then expected Sharps to contact me, however it turned out they were waiting for me to call! Following these minor hiccoughs, work eventually took place and was very satisfactory.

We have spent some considerable time redesigning our bedroom suite to include a walk-in wardrobe. As well as asking our joiner and a local bespoke furniture maker to submit prices for fitting the wardrobe we decided to ask Sharps, the well known bedroom fitting company to submit a proposal. Our first attempt to make an appointment was abortive; Sharps called us twice, the second time, leaving a message on our system asking us to call them to rearrange the appointment which they had cancelled because their consultant "had a family emergency" - planned four days before the appointment. We gave them a week to recontact us to remake the appointment and then called them to be told that they should have made the effort to "re-appoint" us. A new appointment was made, the night before which we received a call from the salesman who was concerned about reaching us at the appointed time as his previous appointment, fifty miles away, was timed only two hours before our appointment. Having been told that the earliest appointment available was 4.00pm on the day in question we were somewhat surprised to be offered a morning appointment instead. The salesman was very personable and arrived on time, he immediately asked if there was somewhere he could sit at a table but before we sat down he decided it may be a good idea to look at the bedroom first - he had completely forgotten overnight, why he was with us - "What are we here for" being his next question. He then measured the space and we repaired to the table. In passing, I should say we were already thoroughly sick of his inability to listen to what we wanted, bored rigid by his tales of Sharps ownership by a hedge fund and quite overcome by his tales of glory from former companies , even to his father's - in his opinion - illustrious position and his own over-indulged childhood. His first attempt at designing the fitments for the wardrobe included a divided hanging space which we told him we did not want. His second attempt did the same, his third attempt repeated his first to mistakes until I said that a further attempt to include the division in his design would be a complete waste of his time and ours. He then attempted to produce a design to our requirements but did not get beyond my question as to why the hanging space had to be 600 mm deep. It was at that point he told us that Sharps would not "give the customer what they want" as they would not "produce a dog's breakfast". He left about thirty seconds later. Had he bothered to listen to what we wanted I could have produced the sketch plan used by the other two companies to quote. I spent over forty years in sales and marketing in one role or another and have rarely encountered such poor salesmanship. We tried to contact Sharps but their emails are all "No Reply" and they do not publish a telephone number on their web site, only a form for booking appointments. The impression with which we were left was that Sharps are a company displaying little innovation - their innovation last year was to introduce a new colour according to the salesman. A company which is happy to sell you anything which fits their standard designs and a company which can only fit the customer in when it suits Sharps.

Extremely pleased with all three bedrooms. The care and time spent in the planning process has really paid off. The fitters were also very experienced and hard working.

Overall pleased with the outcome. Sales Chap was very good and extremely helpful full marks to him. Fitter did a good job I did have to challenge him to improve the outcome of the work and there was some minor damage to new paintwork on walls and ceiling. He had a new empty room to work in. The rubbish removal was our main issue. A friend near by had Sharps fit her bedroom and the rubbish was left outside for over a week it was about to rain heavily and I took it to the tip for her and there was a very large amount of stuff to move which was all mixed up cardboard metal wood plastics in the same bag. The recycling centre made me separate it all at the tip. When it came to ours the fitter did not know when ours would be collected but did admit there was an issue with this. I asked him to bag all materials in separate bags and again I took it to the tip rather than leave it out in heavy rain. The fitter was very tidy very polite and we are happy with the result. A shame that you still can not get our name spelt correctly or the address. You have been informed of this error now 3 times. Mark Wearing Ascerton Close Sidmouth EX10 9BS

Recently had Sharps fit out an office in new house. Seamless from start to finish - super job on design, and fitters were at pains to make sure that the quality and finish were up to scratch. Went to Sharps because we had previously had bedrooms fitted in previous house, and they were terrific. Leaving them was the hardest part of moving. Pretty good all round, and excellent value for money.

I have installed Sharps fitted furniture in some of my developments. I am a small property developer. The service I have received has been excellent. My clients have been able to choose the colour and layout of their wardrobes, and I must say, without exception, they have been delighted with the end result. The fitters have been extremely good to date too. I would suggest that the payment system needs to be addressed - three separate payments, the final one being for the fitter, feels pretty strange.... Employ your own fitters Sharps - it appears that this is where you are going wrong having read other comments and reviews.

Positive's - Designer came at agreed time and put forward design based on our requirements, great. Was advised how much space was required for install and the time required plus walls/ ceiling to be in finished state. Fitter came at agreed time and completed in agreed time. Negative - The wardrobes have doors floor to ceiling and were very heavy with a fitter on his own, do not know how he hung them! But the damage to the walls and ceiling meant the room had to be repainted. Stuart Beney

Home office Jan 2016. Let's get the good bits out the way. Fitter was top notch, designer and surveyor great. Actually result was just what we thought it would be. Now the moans and groans. Continuous desk top with Corner unit, grain all in one direction including the curve, then the last unit put in on end with the grain at 90 degrees to the rest, looks awful. Draws have soft close, great, but all the cupboard doors close very fast, bang on impact with carcass, no soft close and not even a 10 a penny rubber stop. Some of the items were cut to wrong size, hey it happens, new lot arrived, but I know sharps don't take their garbage away (at the price they charge this is a bit amateurish) but can't see why I should have to get rid of the extra! Lastly they are not bespoke, they probably used to be in the age long gone, but draw units are flat pack and the the build fitted to space with the use of fill outs. But hey ho it looks ok , nearly.

Sharps planed and fitted our wardrobe efficiently and promptly. The product is of very good quality and the time scale was good. We would be happy to recommend them to our friends. Jane Smith

Sharps is the most unprofessional, uncaring and grossly arrogant company you can come across. For 5 weeks I have been messed around by designers (for my 4 walk in wardrobes) ranging from excuses of being ill, job being technical, to designers being new to the job and does not have a sat nav. Last minute cancellations, failure to attend, falsePromises by regional Manager to address the issue. and I am still waiting on the company director to respond to my complaint which was over a week ago. The excuses from the regional manager was so pathetic that it made you wonder how this company was still operationally viable. I am glad I am not purchasing from this company and I would urge others to consider this company very carefully. AVOID AT ALL COST.

We looked at 5 wardrobe installation companies (including sharps) before we finally decided to have them. The design person came and measured up and was followed by the surveyor, both of whom were very helpful but I could not agree with their layouts so the designer came back again with a different surveyor. We then agreed on what was proposed. We proceeded with the order, and was told that it would take approx. 2-3 days to install. We were given a delivery and installation date and they stuck to it, the only problem was it took nearly 5 days to install. The other thing I was concerned about was there was no fixing details to secure the over the bed cupboards to the ceiling. The joiner used a lot of plasterboard fixings to secure these so I decided my self to go into the loft space and fit a timber batten for an additional fixing position and the joiner obliged by screwing into this. It has not yet been 12 months since the installation was completed and at this time a small crack between the timber and the ceiling has appeared and one of the doors does not close properly.I think after 1 year has passed I will do a snag list and be contacting sharps to take up these problems with them. I did have to dispose of the excess waste but was warned about this and it was not excessive . Mr S Stoke.
