“The end product of a fitted wardrobe in two bedrooms is a practical, smart solution to storage in a small two bedroom bungalow. However!, the three day installation guide was a joke. It took 8 working days. The highly skilled cabinet maker was new to the firm and had not had sufficient training to complete the job so the company took him off the job for two days to get him up to speed - meanwhile back at the ranch we were sleeping on the sofa/floor for the entire installation. The designer was not aware that the company had changed the depth of the internal drawer inserts so we complained to the company and they were not helpful at all - put up or shut up. All the furniture and the carpets had to be removed for the fitting.Parts had to be re-ordered as they had been damaged in transit - not once but twice! We are pleased with the end product but would we recommend Sharpes? Its the solutions to arising problems and how they are dealt with that makes the difference and the office managers need more training on that front, there was no desire to remedy situations only empty words and promising return phone calls that did not materialize.”

“We had wardrobes, chests of drawers and box headboards fitted in three rooms. Two of these were in the loft conversion, so sloped ceilings and tricky spaces. The designs were excellent and maximised all available space. Fitting took a little longer than expected, but has been finished to a really high standard. Looks great, would recommend.”

“We are very happy with our bedroom furniture. The service we received was good throughout. Salesman was good and not pushy. All meetings/work was completed as planned. The final appearance of the work was good. Overall as described but expensive.”

“I recently had wardrobes, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets supplied and fitted by Sharps . The salesman was efficient, pleasant and explained the quality, fitting process and costings clearly. The fitter was excellent and professional. The quality of the bedroom furniture is very good and has improved the space enormously. I would highly recommend Sharps.”

“Fantastic job in our lounge fitting massive bookshleves. The delivery driver was very careful when he delivered the materials and the fitter was superb and very knowledgeable. “I got my bedroom by sharps a few months ago. The designer was ok. The fitter was good but general service was rubbish. When paying so much for something any business should provide excellent customers service. I had a number of issue: All the rubbish from fitting was left in my front garden Delivery men damaged my door frame and door when bringing in stuff. They tried forcing a long piece of wood up a bend and after being unsuccessful left it down stairs, which me and my two children had to lift through the first floor window. When calling sharps and sending pictures of damage was told that the delivery company was separate and I needed to contact them. I never got reply to emails I sent or received call backs after leaving messages. Handles to wardrobes were fitted in the wrong place as the designer was not clear with the drawing. I decided to leave this as it was too much effort and like pushing an elephant up a hill. I was compensated I think £50, for putting 5 handles on wrong which is a joke as the bedroom cost me around 4K for a five door and dressing table. And sharps would had needed to replace 5 doors if I choose to have this corrected. Even getting the money was a constant battle. No after sales calls or inspection was made. The service is disgusting Avoid!!”

“We had some wall to wall wardrobes fitted with a low drawer unit with a wooden top. We also had 2 large bedside tables with 3 drawers in each. Overall the quality of the furniture is good, the fitter was excellent; clearly a very skilled cabinet maker. Anything other than however leaves a lot to be desired. The salesman who drew the plans was with us for nearly 3 hours and told us that once everything was installed, we would get a call AND a visit from an aftersale service person to check that all was in good working order. I was very impressed with this promise. But sadly this is all it was! I called the head office who told me that they don't send anyone after installation. If we had a problem however, they would rectify it. We were also told by the salesman that the whole thing would take 3 days (4 maximum). As it turns out, the fitter was here for nearly 10! The pieces for the side of the wardrobe didn't go upstairs (on the 3rd floor) so had to be sent back for smaller pieces, thereby delaying by another day. I suppose there was a lot of sawdust in the carpet but it's to be expected. The fitter was very good. On the plus side (and again due to a cockup!) we gained an extra jewelry insert in a drawer and wider bedside tables due to wrong measurements. I would recommend Sharpes for quality. Expensive but you get what you pay for.”

“I recently had fitted wardrobes fitted by Sharps . I can honestly say the fitter was excellent and professional. The quality of the wardrobes and professional fitting has transformed my bedroom. “Are you considering having a bedroom installed by Sharps? If so, I would strongly advise that you reconsider. The product is thinly laminated M.D.F at solid Oak prices (not a piece of wood in sight). I would suggest that you engage a self-employed artisan or even purchase from B&Q, it's bound to be cheaper. Customer service is truly appalling, with numerous promises made after consultation and none of them kept. Delivery was supposed to be made after protective sheets were placed on the floor, staircase etc.Delivery day arrived pouring with rain, two delivery men with wet dirty boots then proceeded to walk over carpets ,wooden floors and stair carpets.With little or no intention of placing protective coverings in our home, after requesting ,minimal cover was placed on the stairs.Grit from their boots were walked into our home and marks on the wall were left after delivery ,and a more ungracious pair of delivery men as you would wish NOT to meet ,left. Pieces were missing once installation was started.A Sharps delivery man arrived the day after ,delivering the missing pieces,then had to use our phone (at our expense) to contact Head Office and a supply department. The drive was left full of bags of detritius and off cuts for several days after installation was completed. Sharps, smoke and mirror trick is that they expect you to pay a King's ransom for the product .And in my opinion,if they can get away with it ,hope that you'll be responsible for getting rid of their rubbish ,at your own expense . The only exception and good thing about the entire experience was that the Polish fitter was hard working,polite,courteous and pleasant to have in your home. Needless to say he was self employed and only sub -contracting to Sharps. To conclude Sharps,in my opinion are an appalling firm, and provide customers with a third rate customer service.They're only interested in your money and they're promises are next to worthless. The staff should be truly ashamed of their cavalier approach and empty promises.They provide in my opinion a shoddy ,shoddy service. If I could award a NO STAR rating (with exception to the excellent fitter) ,I would.”

“My husband and I were pleased with the service we received from start to finish. The sales person was not pushy, the surveyor was good. We were particularly pleased with the fitter who cleaned up after the end of the first day, he was pleasant and amiable. We are very pleased with the quality of the furniture and how it was fitted. The furniture looks stylish and well made. We would certainly recommend Sharps.”

“The 2 measuring and design home visits were excellent. The delivery was on time and carried out efficiently. However the work and mess made during installation could be improved, although the final finished product is of a high standard.”

“I am happy with the design and everything. This experience could have been made more pleasant by the better customer service provided by the professional who came for the survey. He needs more training how to pleasantly deal with the customer and how to coordinate among the different teams of own department.”

“We are absolutely delighted with our bespoke fitted wardrobes from Sharps. From beginning to end, the whole processing of our order was dealt with efficiently and effectively. Especially impressive, was the fitter, Neville. He was very polite, hardworking and conscientious and his workmanship is outstanding. He worked in our cottage bedrooms in a less than ideal space, with vaulted ceilings and minimal floor space, nevertheless he did a first class job. The quality of the product is extremely good too and we are delighted that we chose Sharps. We would recommend them unreservedly to others. Keith Simkin and Ann Watts”

“The product was superb, the build quality was the best I have seen. The whole thing was good, came on time with full information, the fitter was local and did a very good job. If you want a fitted wardrobe I don't think you can buy better, and I have looked. As to price I thought it was quite expensive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Neil Sharpe”
