The service from start to finish was great and the installation was faultless and the end product fantastic . I would recommend Sharps to my friends and know they will have a quality and top standard bedroom.

well i cant tell you about the quality of the product because i cant get any sense from two different departments,I emailed to arrange an appointment, had a lady ring me to make appointment and then confirm the following day it was still ok,Designer didnt turn up for appointment, when i rang the following day it was to be told i had the wrong number even though this was the one that had rang me,they inturn gave me another number to ring who proceeded to ask me why i called this number i explained the story again and was told to ring the other number back and to tell them they were the people i needed to get hold off,to be told by them they dont cover our postcode,so unprofessional, not amused

The sharps experience was excellent from the initial survey to the end product. We found the planner and surveyor to be both helpful and polite. The installer was really courteous and talked us through the installation. He Even worked late on the second day to complete the job. We couldn't fault the whole experience. We are delighted with our new bedroom. Although Sharps are not the cheapest you cannot fault the quality and the service they provide .

I love my new wardrobe. Everything went as planned. delivery and fitting were both on time and the fitter came back within two days of fitting to lower a shelf to suit my height. This is my second furniture from Sharps, the first was a fitted office and cupboard 20 years ago. It looks just as new today as it did then. In both cases the fitters were excellent and they left everything clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in using Sharps again. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and all materials used were of the very best quality. Doreen Armstrong

I'm happy with the end product, but the pain of dealing with Sharps - their pathetic, inept customer service, their miserable surveyor, the installer I had to tell to leave my property he was so rude - were really not worth it and I'm pretty sure you could get the same quality for less money if you shopped around. Honestly, save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Excellent in every way. The second bedroom wardrobe I have had made and fitted and the standard for both was very high. I wanted to have the same joiner for the second and although they agreed to this, it was a different joiner who arrived. I needn't have worried however, as he was excellent.

The quality of the furniture is excellent, very pleased with the design and fitting. We have been given additional storage which was very much needed. The two things I would recommend to improve would be after the fitting I needed to clean out the wardrobes and drawers as they had dust in then from the cutting and putting together, it would have been nice if this would have been done as part of the fitting service rather than me to clean before I could use them and secondly the wardrobes took longer to arrive than expected by 2 weeks. I am absolutely delighted with my bedroom, the work was carried out to a high standard by a very polite and professional workman - my only complaint would be that the wardrobe doors at either side of the bed don't close without being pushed but I know that a phone call to Sharps would get that rectified, I just haven't had the time lately but will phone soon.

Good advice at the planning stage, then a weekend to paint walls, with component items delivered already and to be fitted th following Monday. Excellent fitting and on time if not ahead of schedule ! Mrs L. Wang

Great service from design to fitting with lots of good advice and attention to detail. Appointments were kept and delivery and fitting were carried out very professionally. The end results are what we wanted but with hindsight I would have paid more attention to a couple of things: Don't skimp on preparing the walls at the back of the wardrobes before fitting - its the first thing you see when you open the doors!! Think carefully about what you want to store in the wardrobes. The top shelves are very high especially if you go for a double hanging rail and so not good for day to day use (I need a step ladder to reach them). I later bought a set of hanging shelves to put on the rail so my young daughter could store her jumpers. The gap between the shelf and front of the wardrobe is quite narrow and so its hard to get storage boxes onto it. I found large bags an easier option and you do get a lot of stuff up there! So I suggest you talk through your needs and ideas with the designer as its hard to change things later but would definitely recommend the service and quality of the finished product. Susan Bennett

Very good service from the sales person, surveyor and the fitter. Everybody and everything arrived at the correct time and my study is transformed. There is an issue with the file drawers in that they will not close if conventional file divider and identifier clips are used. This is irritating as it is necessary to actually look through files to find the correct one. If this had not been the case the furniture and service would have been 5*. I Hays

Everything was completed as we were promised from the initial visit to final completion. We were kept informed throughout the whole process. We really must compliment the joiner who fitted the furniture. He arrived promptly and worked diligently throughout the day. At the end of the day the site was thoroughly cleaned and cleared. The end result was a great credit to both him and your company. Many thanks indeed. David Braithwaite.

Very pleased with finished wardrobes, which look good and make the most of the awkward space we had to work with. Designer was very helpful and it was very convenient being able to arrange a weekend visit. Fitter was prompt to arrive and fitted the wardrobes in good time. He was neat and tidy, even helping to carry the old carpet outside for us. Calls to arrange installation were helpful and friendly. The negatives: surveyor was not so personable and was at the house for a long time, seemingly in no rush to finish the job. We had to arrange to extend the wardrobe size and redo internal plasterboard prior to fitting but no drawings were left to help our own joiner with dimensions for this. We eventually received a copy via email but they were of very poor quality and difficult to interpret. Instructions provided by the surveyor at his visit were very unclear. One door had to be re-ordered, as it had an unnecessary corner cut out and the handle was on the wrong side. The same fitter was able to return to fit the new door which was helpful.

Designer was extremely helpful, advised but no way pushed his ideas. All appointments on time with attendees both professional and personable. Tradesman who came to install was very adept and concluded installation skillfully. He completed in allocated time and left the environment very clean. Very happy with all aspects and would not hesitate to recommend. Only negative was that the waste material, although bagged and placed outside, was left for the homeowner to dispose of.

Fitted to a good standard but the fitter had to order more stock as the measurements were incorrect. One of the doors sticks but overall were pleased with the finish. Nick Kidd

The punctuality of the designer and the delivery of the materials was as precise as had been stated. The surveyor was equally punctual and was both articulate and professional and picked up on one or two issues that had not fully considered. Some aerial and electrical fittings had to altered and I was somewhat surprised that I had to arrange that side of it myself. With regard to the arrangements of the fitter's start, this was put off twice resulting in an 18 day delay between material delivery and the fitter's arrival. However I was most impressed with the fitter. His manner and attention to detail were second to none The cleanliness of the work area after each days work was impeccable. On completion he fully explained the workings of the various fittings. Apart from the time delay this was an excellent job. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with result. David W. S. Johnston

Shambles. Bad customer service. Considering the amount spent and the fact it was a 2nd wardrobe. Designs were different to what I asked for in the end. I really can't describe how bad the overall experience was. Fitters on both occassions turned up without ladders! 15ft high ceilings and I guess they would see the drawing before coming out. Kept losing paperwork too so it took several months and over 45 phone calls to them to get things moving.

It was the first time I have used Sharps, I found them very professional in all aspects of my fitted office. I visied the local showroom to see the fitted offices which assisted with my selection of range as I saw them in the 'flesh'. The Designer turned up on time and the fitter did a very professional job. I would definitely use Sharps again

If I could have given sharps no stars I would have done. From the start it was a disaster. Designer came out and we were told what we needed. We found out later we should have been given a choice of sizes for bedside tables. Then the surveyor came out wrote all over designers plans therefore making it completely illegible. He also told us that we needed to cut our window sill out to fit the units. He documented this as well. Turns out that this did not need to happen. We therefore ruined a perfectly good Window sill for no reason. This cost us to fix. We then got the phone call to arrange delivery which I accepted. I then got a phone call to arrange installation which turned out to be a week after delivery. When I pointed out that we had been told installation would happen a couple of days after delivery, I got told "sorry, you must have misunderstood. This is when installation is available." I checked the contract I had signed and right enough it stated installation would be up to 3 days after delivery. I can't see where I misunderstood that. When the installer came. The units were all the wrong size and not fitted correctly to the point that part of the chest of sat flush to the window sill and part of it was above the window sill. It was also cut out to patch up the part of the window sill we were told to cut out by the surveyor. He had even marked on the window sill with pen where he wanted the sill cut to. Needless to say, this looked awful and very mismatched. The single chest of drawers that were to go next to the radiator were too wide and therefore when fitted we couldn't get access to our radiator valve if we needed to. The installer couldn't understand the plans either as they were illegible. A copy of the plans were sent to the installation department who agreed that they could not be read. Also turns out that the measurements of my room that were taken were all wrong so that is why the wrong size furniture was sent out. The installer had to order new units for me. When they came, they were again the wrong units so a new order was made. This time the units were sent but without drawer fronts. I was getting quite annoyed by this point as the furniture was all over my bedroom. We were half way through or third week from delivery by this point and we were having to share a room with our three year old daughter because our bed mattress and ottoman was piled up in her room. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch to give us all better nights sleep due to the amount of time it was taking. I had to take photos of the furniture as it had not been fitted properly. Shelves were not secured. The base of the wardrobe had a 3 inch gap from the front of the wardrobe, which I asked on numerous occasions to be fixed. Doors and drawer fronts were not aligned properly and it looked very shoddily put together. I was on to sharps on a daily basis and felt they were just giving me lip service. Well because of the problems I was experiencing, another installer came out to my house. We were in to the forth week by this time. He was fantastic and fixed all the fixture and alignment problems. He also looked at the uneven chest of drawers for me at the cut window sill and agreed that the sill did not need to be cut. He told us he would order us another work top for the chest of drawers. When this arrived, it was unusable as it was badly damaged. So another two were ordered. Both of these were badly damaged and unusable. Was at the end of my tether by now. This wasn't just affecting me but also my dad who came down on the days me and my husband were working to let the installers in and to accept the deliveries. He was down on an almost daily basis for the duration. We were finally in receipt of a work top that was in perfect condition and eventually we had our bedroom all finished nearly 6 weeks from the initial delivery. A job that should have been completed within a week of the initial delivery if you are to believe what is written in the contract you will sign. This whole process was not without stress and I certainly began to lose taste for the furniture that I had purchased. We also had to pay out the get our window sill fixed because of incorrect instructions. Sharps did state that they would give us a good will gesture because of the hassle we went through. However when they called to ask if installation was completed, they requested to full 10% still left to pay. I informed them that I was not willing to pay anything until compensation was discussed. They eventually got back to me about that but only after I made two other phone calls to them. They eventually offered me £100 off my bill. Now I am not a material person but for 6 weeks worth of disruption, especially to my 3 year old who couldn't get into her room. I found their attitude appalling. Especially when they said it was not in their policy to compensate I guess it is in their policy to mislead their customers and consistently send out incorrect and damaged furniture. When they called me back for the payment I was in work and was not in a position to give the payment at that time, which I had informed them of when I had contacted them earlier that morning . I informed them I would be able to make my payment the next day after half 3 because I am a shift worker and do not take my purse or bag into work with me. They accepted this but l and behold I got a phone call at 10.30 am the next day stating that I had not made my payment and could I please make it. I wouldn't have minded but it was the same lady that I had informed the day before. I paid the balance minus the £100 when I said I would be able to. They take no prisoners when it comes to them receiving payment. It's just a shame their attitude to customer service and satisfaction isn't the same
