I was quoted £110 and ended up paying for to £685 for a full service car. DO NOT USE this company if not you will regret not only financially but also they will waste you time never care about you once you have paid. They never pick up their phone, never reply to emails, they don't even tell you the status of the job undertaken on you car. I handle them my car, they said it will last a day and they didn't even call or text me that it will take longer than expected and myself didn't even know when they will return my car. In the morning the next day they left the key in front of the house without even letting me know(Someone could have nicked it). AWFUL COMPANY! AVOID Them at all COST. VERY BAD COMPANY TO TRUST WITH AN HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER EVER USED THEM AGAIN!!!! In addition to this, they lied to me that a part was damage and needed to be replaced. I told not to change anything on that and went to a local garage and it was alright as it was a dirt and they wanted to charge me on that!!!! I am starting to doubt on the work they said they have done. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED :(

Used them for 4 years and was fairly happy with the service until..... The DPF (on my Kia with a 7 year warranty) broke. I used service stop because they guarantee that your warranty will not be affected as they use correct parts etc. The invoices do not clearly specify this information. I need an invoice that clearly states the oils used etc in order to get the car fixed under warranty. I have now been 20 days without a car!!!! Answer the phone service stop!!!!!

Absolute disgrace! Quoted £116 then tried to charge me £375 for an oil change and break fluid top up! Contacted the garage direct and was advised they too are trying to get out of contract with them! There charge £26!!! Service stop were trying to make a profit of over £175!! Wouldn't answer the phone! Vile company! Out to make money on innocent members of the public! I have reported them to the government, trading standards, financial ombudsman and advertising agencies! Steer well clear they are sharks and will refuse to release your car unless you pay! Sadly for them they didn't realise they were dealing with a police officer!!!

This company is a joke. Last time I tried to use them they called me a couple of days before the service to say that they couldn't pick my car up but would still do the service if I could drop it off and pick it up myself from a garage over 45 miles from my address. Hoping this was a one off problem I booked another service with them however once again they have let me down, I took the morning off work for my car to be collected but nobody showed up and I have spent 2 hours on hold trying to find out what is going on but nobody is available to speak to me. Having for the first time read reviews of this outfit I fail to understand how they are still in business. They are a bigger cowboy outfit than the Hole in the wall Gang. Do yourself a favour and avoid them like Covid.

Don’t bother if you value time and good honest service. Using online quote for MOT and interim service, got quoted a good price for Black Friday so booked in. They ask you to pay upfront for discount but the quoted price suddenly changes and goes up? I didn’t pay upfront as a result of that but confirmed booking still with intent to pay after work completed. No one ever contacted me or came to collect the vehicle on the allotted day. Tried calling in twice to query and sat in queue 1st time 30 mins no answer, then 1hr 20mins no answer. Only read reviews after this and seems I had a lucky escape as sounds like a lot of people have had issues once car is collected with additional costs. My experience and theirs suggests they will try and rip you off so suggest read other reviews or more simply avoid.

Do not use! They don’t pay the invoices they owe garages for work done to their customers cars! No one answering emails of phone calls. Use your own garage of choice they overcharge for going through them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They overcharge for all additional costs! I had my mot and service booked with service stop. 2 times no one turned up to collect my car. On the 3rd time a different garage collected it. I then got told I had to pay £600 for brake fluid and brake pads. I called and asked why it would cost so much when brake pads are not that expensive, the man then proceeded to shout down the phone to me and said he was going to fail my mot and then hung up and wouldn’t answer the phone to me. The garage who had my car then called and asked what servicing stop had quoted and told me it would only cost £150 and told me servicing stop have been overcharging all of his customers. They’re a scam, use local garages and do not go through servicing stop!!

My car was due to be collected today between 8-10am for an MOT and service. However, it is still parked outside my house. The service and MOT date has been postponed and a new date arranged four times to date. I have spent two hours today trying to contact customer services only to be informed that the garage that they had sourced to carry out the service/MOT had, (due to unforeseen circumstances) been unable to collect my vehicle. My MOT runs out on the 30/11/20. I am currently waiting for a call from Servicing Stop to arrange yet another date for my car to be collected. Due to the limited time I now have to arrange the MOT/service with an alternative garage and as I had paid in advance, (at the time of making the booking) I feel I am being held to ransom. I would therefore advise anyone and everyone not to use this company.

When was Car picked 2 hours late for service and Mot I should know that this is going bad .I just point it is 3 year old vaxhall meriva with 20000 miles. Then they phone me at 5pm there is a problem , O! .When I try to contact office of course they didn't answer phone and then closed . 1 one rear fog light doesn't work?, 2 one seat belt not winding up in wright time Plus pushing for engine flush an Change break fluid after a year. What a lot of b......! I had to explain in an email , nobody on phone,, that there is only one rear fog light and there is no speed problem with a seat belt and that is simply a SCAM, and I want my car back with Mot or without. No response. Then next day car was returned and new Mot certificate was issued. What happened to that company ? I used them for last 3 years with both my car's and it was good service but this is just a cowboy behaviour . I am not going to use them ever again and will that to all my friends . They just not want to be in business any more .

BIG MISTAKE - My advice is just don’t use this company Absolutely shocking service and pure attempt at manipulation. No means of communicating with them as they’d keep you on hold and the number, they divert you to voicemail when you call their other lines. No invoices and no stamping service book. Replacing 3 bulbs for £130 and £230 for a job which has not being done. I will definitely sue them Avoid by all cost they will rip you off

I was quoted £96 all in for an interim service which included a ridiculous environmental fee of £7.99 which incidentally the garage that carried out the service were unaware of. My final bill was £141.83. I had a call from Gary their customer service guy who tried to sell up the service with all the "safety" extras I needed (but didn't need at all) I have a Renault Captur which uses standard C4 oil but was told by Servicing Stop that it was special oil which was an extra £24+VAT. I confirmed with Renault that they recommend standard C4 0/30 or 5/30 and there is no special oil. I bought the car on 22/11/20 and had a full AA check. The AA topped up all the fluids including brake fluid, anti freeze, windscreen wash etc. Servicing Stop said they had to top these up and charged me £5.99+VAT. This was on 26/11/20 4 days after it was done by the AA. Gary from SS said that in the 20 years he had been there he had never had a complaint or anyone requested documentary evidence and a photograph of the 'special oil' they had to use. A complete lie as the company was registered in April 2008 so didn't exist 20 years ago! I spent 3 hours trying to get through to them but with no luck. The garage that carried out the work did say that they have had a lot of customer complaints with SS and the hard sell tactics and unnecessary extra charges. Read the reviews and honestly avoid like the plague. An Interim service from my Renault main dealer is only £160 inc VAT so what appears to be a great saving is actually not. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I booked a full service in for yesterday between 9am and 10am which was ideal for me as I work nightshift. I got a text the day before to say my car would be picked up at 8am which was fantastic. 8am came and went with no one to pick up my car and no communication from service stop at all. After 45 minutes of waiting I tried to call them but was placed on hold and could not get through for almost half an hour. I then sent an email asking for a refund which was not replied to until today. I recieved a reply saying I'd cancelled my service and if I would like to rearrange I could, since when did an organisation not turning up count as me cancelling a service!!! Disgusting service and communication, i am now on with my bank chasing a refund because i cannot afford to lose this money this close to Christmas! Save yourself a headache and do not use this service!!!

Booked my car for Full service and MOT, my car was driving fine and I had no issues with it at all and was expecting the service and of course issue a new MOT. They picked up my car late, around 9:30 AM and the driver checked the car, taken photo so I left him to it. A few minutes later, he knocked on the door saying the petrol is low and will not be sufficient to take him in 30 mins journey. So I gave him £10 just to top up! They called me at 4:30 to say my car has failed MoT and will require various repairs, parts to pass the MoT and this will cost £894.39. I needed the car next day so I thought this is genuine ask and had to get them to do the repair and paid for it. The car was returned at 6 so I questioned the driver how they have managed to buy all the parts, fix the list of issues they have quoted on the phone and drive the 30 mins journey back to my place and he was not able to answer any of my questions. I rang Service Stop and the lines were closed. I went to check my serviced car with the new parts, placed the key in the ignition and got the “Warning visit the workshop” message I rang Servicing Stop first thing in the morning and after one hour waiting, explained the issues and questioned what they have done but could not answer my questions and they promised to get back to me soon. I waited all day and no one contacted me back so I have written an email to their Customer service and again received no answer and that was after 5 days. I have written to them again today and requested an answer to my email and also what to do with the warning message the car is flashing at me and so far no answer.

BIG MISTAKE - My advice is just don’t use this company. For a start “FULL” service just means an oil change. It is not in any real terms a full service. I then received the phone call to say my car had failed it’s MOT due to the brake discs. They over quoted for repair. On saying that I would have my car repaired elsewhere, I was falsely lied to by being told that as my car had failed it no longer had a valid MOT despite 4 days being left on the previous years MOT. It’s was a pure attempt at manipulation. Fortunately I do know the law. With that I’m not finished. I was also charged for filling the windscreen washer fluid which was not required after filling it myself and also they failed to give the promised £8.00 discount for paying upfront. I have asked for a refund of this amount and now they refuse to communicate. JUST DON’T DO IT.

Having read these reviews (almost universally appalling), I went yesterday to see the named garage doing the MOT and service, and laid down the rules of my own - no extras, no special oils, no fluid changes, just the MOT checks and reports, and an included oil change and oil filter replacement. The garage owner was very nice and agreed. His own company's reviews were 5-stars across the board, incidentally. The car was collected in person at 8am today by the mechanic I had met the evening prior, and he left his own car at my house, and we repeated the arrangements agreed the night before - no special oils, no extras. When the (London) office called at 11am, (0203 870 1088), the sales man (Josh) informed me the car had passed the MOT, then tried to bamboozle me into buying special synthetic oils at 28 pounds, citing "duty of care" so to do. He also said I should change the brake fluid, pollen filter and the timing belt. I demurred, these having been done 1 year ago by the dealership. He initially refused to authorise the car for release to me, until his imminent invoice for synthetic oils were paid. Of course, I stood my ground, revealing to him that I had been in personal contact with the garage in question the evening prior, and he immediately backed down and stated that the car will be delivered in the next 90 minutes. His colleague Hayley rang me 2 minutes later (from a "private number") seeking my feedback, so she got some, along with the benefit of my business advice about how to succeed, increasing their initial prices a little and offering outstanding service instead of trying to con their customers out of unwanted and unnecessary extras, that being the right way to build a reputation for excellence rather than a bad name for chicanery. I then received their invoice by email, for low ash oils, and again I called the gatrage directly to see where things stood with this claim. The car was at that very koment being hoisted onto the hydraulic platform, and no oil change had been carried out at that point. The mechanic reassured me there would be no additional services of charges and that they would be delivering my car by 2pm and collecting their own works car. This they did precisely, without incident, and agreed that the Serviceing Stop model was bad for everyone concerned, but declined to say anything further when I said I had my review written and ready to send. Make you own mind up, but heed the above details. It is invariably better to forge a decent relationship with your local garage and avoid these Hertfordshire wideboys at all costs. Meanwhile, I will be forwarding their invoice to the nearby firm of solicitors Martin Shepherd LLC, across the road from their office, at 29 Southbury Road.

Avoid by all cost they will rip you off.Try to find the garage on your own.they work on the basis of a broker so they charge a lot more than the same garage when they send your car.I spoke with the guy delivering my car back after service and he confirmed they are overcharging for the same work if you had booked with us directly. I refuesd the prices I had been quoted for the broker servicing Stop and the driver left me his business card advising me if you still want the work to be done call me.
