“Took my car somewhere unknown for a service, few hours later called and told the engine needed flushing - £234 with an additional £1600 worth of work to be done. The additional work was for new pads and disks and timing belt. Also told Tyres were illegal which a different garage laughed at and said that it was not the case at all. Scammers of the highest level! Avoid like the plague”

“SCAMMERS! Servicing Stop are Scammers and beware of them. Yesterday, the garage took my car for full service. They were on time to collect. Then servicing called me at 5pm saying some things need fixing and it would cost £896 to do some jobs on it… Engine flush = £132, Break fluid = £180, Oil surcharge = £30, Pollen Filter= £135, Spark Plugs = £275, Anti Freeze= £144. I said I didn't want all this done, but he said I have to have it done and I wasn't able to cancel it. And I could pay in installments or in full. I felt I was being blackmailed, so I paid in full! I got my car back this afternoon. I asked the garage owner what work they have done and he said just servicing and MOT. Everything is the same like the others here are complaining. I blame myself for being so stupid and not doing my due diligence. I will try my best to report them everywhere and complain to the Trading Standards. PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!!!”

“Today my car went in for full service. They called me later on saying i need to pay £960 to do some job on it. Just like the other reviewer here. Engine flush,break fluid etc. I said i dont want all this exta but he said i have to have it done and i wasnt able to cancel it. I will report them to trading standards, also i will go to the garage to ask what work they have done and taking the car to halfords to check. They put it through on mot but my mot was still ok till middle of may. Everything is the same like the others here complaining. I blame myself for being so stupid and agreed to pay the 6months loan. I will try my best to report them everywhere and stop paying the rest of the loan 5x£156”

“Picked up my Honda CR-V. They had the car and then I got the phone call in the afternoon, needed engine flush, special oil, brake fluid replacement, and a pollen filter. An extra £420 on top of what I had already paid. I refused to pay this, and the guy on the phone said it would be out of warranty if I didn' get the brake fluid change and they would be unable to stamp the service book. This car is only 15 months old. He then said "if you get the brake fluid changed you will be able to have your car back quickly" which is pretty much blackmail. I reluctantly paid for the brake fluid change. They have not changed it, it is just a total scam and they should be put out of their grubby business”

“Total scam - BEWARE - Do not use!! - No VAT invoice, stamp not legible. Forced me to give positive reviews and pay beforecreturning my car. Extortion. The price more than doubled from a quote if £180 to a bill of £460! identical story as everyone else. Refer to all the other feedback This crowd of crooks must be reported to the authorities.”

“If I could give a zero rating I would. Gary the representative was rude, discourteous, down right objectionable. Putting that aside I thought the price for a full service was reasonable, but all the additional charges were outrageous. I wish I’d read the reviews before I used them which I will NEVER do again.”

“Car was picked up at 0830 for a service and mot at 1330 received a phone call stating that I need special engine oil and brake fluid charging and a engine flush all at extra cost. I said no just do the service and mot he then asked me to give him a good review. About 30 minutes later he phoned again saying I hadn't gave the review I said I was busy and I will do it later. Tried to call them to find out where my car is you can't get through to them. Eventually my car was returned at 1830 9hrs later from picking it up 9hrs to do a service and mot. I then left a review complaining about the service they give. At 1900 hrs I was called asking if my car had arrived I said it had and said I wasn't happy with there services I said I won't be using them anymore he just said he'd blocked me anyway, so don't use this company they just try to rip you off use a local garage near you that you can trust”

“I used this servicing stop, totally scammed me, they didn't do what they said, charge you extra without any reason they just put on bill. The phone number they give you can contact unless they phone you, I don't recommend this servicing at all never never again, don't trust in other reviews in their website-which I did.”

“Everything was lovely until they picked up my Jag... When garage called me back they were trying to scam me for more money, trying to charge me almost £200 more than main Jaguar dealership and £400 over the quote I received, that was just for basic maintenance. Essentially they were trying to upsell me 24month major service which wasn't what I requested and not what I needed on 40k miles car. They were very condescending and unprofessional about it. Then garage representative become very standoffish and rude while trying to convince me that the full service I paid for won't be marked as full service on jaguar online service history. The garage didn't send me an invoice which I require and by law has to be provided. Garage also did not update the online service history. Essentially it's a scam, just go to your local mechanic and support local businesses instead.”

“DO NOT USE!!!!! Wish i had read the reviews before booking! First the positive….they picked my car up on time! Now the negatives! Car was meant to be brought back between 4-6pm, 8pm no car! No number or messaging to chase and find out what’s happening, all lines close at 6! I had 1 missed call that day, leaving no voicemail or text or email, so assumed was a scam call so didn’t bother to call back. And to reiterate, only ONE call! My husband wanted me to call the police to report the car stolen as no communication! I then had to arrange for my children to be taken to school and rearrange work for the next day as no car!! 8am i messaged on the live chat, told the advisor in charge will call me! 10:10am he called with a list of “additional” work mounting over £1k, for brake pads alone, didn’t even get a quote for other work as they’re already being sorted at my local garage which was already booked in for! I told them absolutely not and I will take to my local garage as I knew the REAL cost wouldn’t be that amount!! The guy then got really short with me and virtually hung up!! My car was then dropped off at 1pm, in fairness the girl who picked up and collected was lovely, none of this is her issue or fault! I looked around my car and saw the wheel patch panel sticking out, I thankfully was able to push it back in!! It’s in my local garage tomorrow and they’ve been asked to ensure a full service was carried out as learning from other reviews, there’s a high chance it’s not been, but rather they spent their time looking for faults to try make money back on beings as the initial full service quote looked so appealing! I have also been quoted less then half the cost by my local garage for the pads!! Please do not use and avoid the stress and anxiety I had!!”

“Don't use this company, total crooks, thieves, and worst thing is that it is legalised robbery! I am an elderly person and was attracted with the free picking up and delivery of the car,saves driving and waiting. Payed 145.00£ upfront for a full service . The car was collected as arranged, but an hour later someone from Enfield office called me and described my car as a write off ,{my car has done only 17000miles..)., the wanted 990£ to fix all the problems, I was shocked, started to refuse the jobs he was offering, he was pushing and pushing...eventually the price dropped to 450£, I became nervous, they are blackmailing and scaring you, so I agreed to what he suggested as an "emergency"work . Plus the 145£that I payed in advance, nearly 600£ for work that the car didn't need in the first place! I regret not reading the reviews before I booked on line, so people don't go there, it is a big scam!!!”

“booked for BMW X3 car service on 20th January 2024 for collection on 23d January 2024. They charged £183 pounds which I paid on the booking day. On the day of service, the guy name Adam from the customer service called me and asked me to pay the brake fluid oil £221 pounds. I owned the BMW first time and I thought £221 is the right price and I paid immediately. When car handed over to me in the evening the dashboard was still showing the warning that Brake Fluid required change. Firstly I thought they probably forgot to reset the system, to clear my doubt I went to halford and found that the brake fluid oil is not changed and halford mentioned they have ripped me off as fluid oil change only cost £50. I rang 10 times and finally connected once with the customer guy and asked me to drop the email to customer service. The customer service replied 24 hours, Mellisa customer executive which she is not understanding the case properly. They bloody charged me over 400 and not refunding the money of brake fluid oil. I agreed with previous reviewers that stay away from this company. I am speaking to my bank to get my refund at this moment. They are cheating to all their customers. We need to raise the voice jointly so that they can stop cheating people and shutdown their business.”

“Absolute scam... better go for Halfords or other known garages rather than these people... Simply charges money without proper service.. I doubt the 5 rating reviews are genuine or not... Avoid and save money .”

“This company should be banned for illegal behaviour. They provided a reasonable quote for service and MOT, my car was collecte,d then they rang three hours before it was due to be delivered back with an £800 list of items that needed doing to pass its MOT. I checked the MOT status online and it never failed the MOT! I got a comparative quote for the works they wanted to do from a main dealer and they were charging more. I emailed to say I did not want any of the additional works doing and to return the car and they sent an invoice for the original quoted amount which I settled. Just hoping I get the car back in one piece now.”

“Reasonable price quoted for a service and a mot if you pay upfront. Then wait for it !!! Rang me half way through and wanted extra over £300.00 extra for an engine flush and a brake fluid change. My car manufacturer does not recommend engine flush because it can cause damage. And the brake fluid had already been completely changed just 3000 miles before. I suspect that the only change that would have happened, would have been a change to my bank balance. Lastly the garage refused to stamp my service book. Make your own minds up.”

“Absolute Nightmare - Servicing Stop Delay and Silence on Refund My experience with Servicing Stop has been nothing short of appalling. After cancelling a service, I was quoted a 7-10 day refund waiting period. However, after 8 days, I received another email stating the refund had been submitted and would take an additional 5-7 days. Attempts to contact customer service were futile. Calls were met with an endless loop of automated messages referring me to the website. Emails inquiring about the additional delay went unanswered, leaving me in complete silence. It wasn't until 12 excruciating working days later that I finally received my refund. This entire process was riddled with unacceptable delays, lack of communication, and utter disregard for customer service. I strongly advise anyone considering Servicing Stop to reconsider. Their refund process is slow and opaque, and their communication is non-existent. You deserve better than this.”

“Phoned me up and told me that my car had failed the MOT and needed brakes replaced as per the garage request I refused and told them to just send the car back as failed car returned as promised with no issues and also with a pass certificate …. Hmmm that’s stealing money in my book”

“After paying £145.00 in advance for an MOT and service, the garage rang me and asked for an additional £319.00 for replacing the brake fluid and carrying out an engine flush before engine oil was replaced. These extras are absolutely outrageous charges for what is flushing oil price less than £20.00 + brake fluid £20.00 and at the most 1 hrs Labour. Of course i refused, and was told that they won’t stamp the service book. I won’t go any where near Servicing Stop again. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.”

“I am mortified that I spoke to someone on Friday who did not explain thoroughly. First of all I was charged £1300 via instalment for servicing the car and additional work which I assumed it covers everything after they came back to me following a diagnostics. This morning I received a phone call that I need to pay another £1400 for another problem they found. What was the point of a diagnostic? My colleagues in the office are shocked. If they had made this clear of how much they want to charge me heads up after the diagnostic I wouldn't have even signed up to their service. I would've gone and bought another car. I am very appalled. I can never ever recommend this service to anyone ever for their poor communication and lack of detailed diagnostic”
