“Booked car service with Servicing Stop and was quoted £210 for full service and MOT.Garage picked my car up 8am and said it would be returned between 4pm and 6pm. I was rang about 11am by serving stop and was told that my car had passed it MOT but a number minor issues had been found which I declined to have done. Then they said being a diesel car i would need oil upgrade £29 which I agreed to, they then said it would need an engine flush at £105 which I refused. I was then told that they could not put the engine oil in without a flush which I disagreed with but then said l had to have the flush before oil could be replaced. Please don’t be taken in by Servicing Stop, just remember when your phone rings to tell about your repairs it’s not the Garage calling but a rip off salesperson from servicing stop. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!”

“Stay well clear of this company. The quote an amount for a service then ring you with a bill for 100's of pounds. Had a problem with the payment link and they wouldn't return car. Had me running around for hours, kept telling me that there driver was off sick, all this on moving day 3 and half hours away to Stafford. Absolutely shocking to me on the phone. Stay clear at all cost. Absolutely shocking rip off merchants.”

“Complete scam artists. Hidden charges for premium membership of £25 pm embedded deep within their long list of T&Cs; called to tell me a long list of work needed to be carried out to make it road safe - I had sent it in for an oil service and the caller was then rude and intimidating when I queried and said no.”

“I would give service stop 0 stars. They are the biggest scam artists ever. I booked my BMW in for an oil service and a mot. They collected the car and then I got a call from service stop asking for £377 pounds for something else they said I needed done. I refused the extras and the guy on phone got very rude. I phoned my BMW dealership and was told that my car didn’t need anything done till next year. The only thing it was due was the oil change. This is also what the computer on the car was flagging up. When they delivered my car back the garage who done the work were unaware of the phone call that I received. It was service stop that were trying to scam me. I am now aware that service stop take the booking and the money then they send the car to a local garage for the work to be carried out. This has caused me so much stress that I was vomiting. Please avoid service stop they are scammers. Please read all the terrible reviews they have from so many car owners that have had bad experiences.”

“Service stop DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I recently used Service Stop I booked a MOT & Service I was quoted £156 They collected my car as agreed the next day I was contacted by Service Stop to say Mot had failed and required bushes replacing at an additional cost of £1550 I said I did not want the work doing , they replied the work has already started . My car was not returned the next day as promised. I tried calling and emailing and also tried to use there chat line ,none of which I could get a response to. I looked on line to find many poor reviews and scams reported . We found the garage where the car was being worked on after advice from the police. They would not release the car until I paid the £1550 . I contacted a reputable local garage and was told the Service Mot and bush replacement would be around £500 I spoke to one of the directors , eventually who was very arrogant. and was obviously used to dealing with unhappy customers and adamant that the cost was £1550 and had to be paid before the car was released . please don’t not use Service Stop unless you want to be ripped off .”

“All, I am sharing my personal experience with this service. I must say a big NO to using this scammer company. I used this service to get my car serviced and paid £170 online. They send you a message saying “pay now online to get a discount,” but when you reach the payment page, there’s no discount applied—you end up paying the same price that was shown at the beginning. Once your car is picked up for service, you get a call with a long list of work that they say needs to be done, which will cost you hundreds of pounds extra. If you say no, they respond by saying things like “your car won’t work” or “you are in danger of a breakdown.” They will forcefully convince you to get the work done. Now, after paying over £600 for the service, guess what I see in my car? The screen wash is empty, the coolant is below the required level—basic things that should have been checked and filled during any proper service! My friend, with a similar car and mileage, got his service done at Kwik Fit for just £180, and everything was done properly. It was my mistake to choose this company. I will never use them again, and I strongly urge all of you—do not use this service. This is a big scam.”

“You are scammers.You charged me £989 for MOT & Service. The garage who did the work has told me they did not replace the parts you charged for. Their bill to you was £400! DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS.”

“booked an mot and was offered cheap service(interim).I didnt need a service as the car was fully serviced about 8 month prior, but thought i might as well get it done before winter. 1 hour after i paid they emailed me to say they couldnt do the mot on the day arranged due to staff shortage. The earliest they could get it done was 7 days later.II phoned around locally and no one else was available locally, so i had to agree, which ment i couldnt drive the car for that week.They arrived late for collection, and the youngster who picked it up said they were unlikely to get it back the same day as they were busy. A bit annoyed but accepted that as he had at least advised me of their problem. at about 1645 there was a knock on the door and there was a different guy from the garage returning my car. I was initially pleased, but on checking the paperwork found only vaguely worded checklist and list of checks but no mot cert. I called the garage but only got answer machine so i sent email enquiring where was the mot cert, which was all i really needed. I got an answerphone message about 20 minutes later from the garage saying seervice stop hadnt booked an mot! To add insult to injury the garage said they couldnt do the mot for another week! I need the car on the road. I tried phoning servicestop but line continually had engaged tone. I sent message through their bot to contact me on my phone.. no response. I am now drafting a letter to their head offices and forwarding the matter to trading standards. As i paid using my visa card i am also instructing them to cancel the payment made as this service is anything but satisfactory.”

“Would rate in minus if possible. Booked a service and mot then got flooded with mail, text and calls. After they took my car i was dead to them. They called once to add the additional charges on changing my 1 brake fuild break pad and filer for 315 pounds. Customer care was very rude and giving unnecessary attitude. No help no accountability. No report has been provided. Avoid this scam called sERviCiNG sTOp.”

“SERVICING STOP IS A SCAM My car was not delivered to me on the day i cannot express my utter dissatisfaction with their service the garage said they instructed them not to deliver my car payment was made by 1700 hours their office first tried to contact me at 1625 and at 1633. I called their office back at 1635 and a message came across that they would call me back. My call logs show that they returned my call at 1656 and requested payment for further work i told their representative that i am driving at that moment and would make payment as soon as i can stop. I made payment at 5.01pm, i have online proof of payment i contacted the garage and they later said they did not clear my car and thereafter informed me that they damaged my alloy wheels on their ramp. I feel their service is provided by cowboys and they are not to be trusted. Failure to deliver my car inconvenienced me immensely DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE”

“Absolute scammers , sent my car for a service , even though it had a major service at Kwik fit 10 months ago , service stop ring in late afternoon a very polite man rings and explains I need £1800 if extra work on my car , told them to return my car to me without the extra work , don't even know if they serviced my car scammers avoid”

“Like a lot of the Reviews say, Car not picked up or dropped off within the hours given - not even close. pick up 1 hour and a half late. Dropoff "between 4pm and 6pm" - currently 6.45pm and id genuinely love to know where my car is. Unless you want to sit in all day guessing at what times its actually going to be done, just take it to a garage where they'll usually stick to timeframes. If anyone would like to find out where my car currently is, or refund the £7 I've lost for missing a 6.30pm collection whilst waiting for my car, id appreciate it. First and Last time I use these. EDIT: 845pm and I still don't have my car, nor can get hold of any number. wondering at what point I call the police? SECOND EDIT: Never got my car back. Had to pay for a taxi to my night shift, and will have to pay for a taxi home. £50 on taxi's down the drain, to go with my £7. Absolutely disgraceful. DO NOT GO WITH THIS SERVICE! no info about where my car is AT ALL! Third edit: ITs now 12.45pm the next day. after trying to get through to someone all morning I finally got a call at 10.30 am saying my car would be back within the hour. I made it clear I needed this so we could get to work for 1pm. We work 20 miles away. Its now 12.15, still no car, and I'm pretty sure they've blocked my number so I cant get any further updates. the ONLY work being done is an oil filter change. If you are reading this and haven't booked a service with them yet DO NOT DO IT! once they have your car they couldn't care less about getting it back to you. they couldn't care less about you having to work or losing out on money. They couldn't care less about actual customer service despite their replies to bad reviews trying to make it look like they do. I have genuinely never dealt with a company this bad in my lifetime so far.”

They called once to add the additional charges on changing my 1 brake light for £89 or they wont release my car plus got quoted £860 for brake fluid change and spark plugs replacement which i turned down. Had to call and beg them to return my car and got it after 5 days. No phone number of the garage, just a postcode for the garage which was 2 hours drive. Customer care was very rude and giving unnecessary attitude. No help no accountability. Went myself twice to the garage 2 hours aways to finally get my car from a very shady garage. The garage was in the middle of no where also the mechanic would have a very long nose if he was Pinocchio. Took it to a local garage they told me no servicing had been done. Avoid this scam called sERviCiNG sTOp.”

“As per the reviews below which I really wish I’d read before. Service Stop added rip off prices for break pads and fluid and an oil change I didn’t need. Did not get a breakdown of the costs beforehand and I’m still waiting. Felt obliged to pay to get my car back and that was still well after they said it would be ready. No complaint with the garage that did the work but they were told not to proceed until I’d paid online. RIP off. Do NOT use.”

“Completely unhappy, they have done criminal damage to my car to make it fail the MOT, there is obviously soot on the car where they have had a blow torch to damage the seal to make it fail. Glad I didn't pay the crazy amount they wanted to fix it but now I have to get it fixed when there wasn't an issue and get it re MOT'd. Stay well away!”

“Avoid at all cost if not they will try to cost you more. Used for service due to advertised £103 offer. My car was collected night before. By midday was called to inform extra work needed. Had to pay extra for oil £36 and was informed break oil was extra to which I refused. I was then informed I needed break discs and pads front and back with a cost of £1300. Guess what I said no. On receiving my car back I was concerned about what they had said about the breaks. So I took to my local garage who informed my break pads were getting ready for change but the discs were in perfect condition. I have paid for new pads fitting at £180. So I'd say stick to local and avoid the cheap cons which would have cost me £1120 more if I'd have believed them. CON MERCHANTS”
