“Whilst my actual Eye Test this year & last was excellent. It was noticed during my Eye Test that the Prescription from last year had been processed on the Lenses incorrectly. That was obviously the reason that they seemed strange & caused me to have a fall. I had been back to the Shop a couple of times last year about this, but was fobbed off ! The Optometrist came out with me into the shop & after pointing out the mistake on previous prescription, she asked them to sort it out. So, the young lady re-checked the fitting of existing frames, made notes & started totting up £'s cost. When she got to £350+ I asked if I had to pay all of that? When she said Yes, I said forget it, left the establishment & do not feel inclined to return ever! I doubt this review will be Published 🤔”

“The staff at NEWQUAY are very helpful and keen to assist in any way they can with their customers so as far as the shop in UK is concerned I’d give that a 10. I can’t remember how many pairs of glasses I’ve purchased since I’ve been living in Newquay but unfortunately I have had some problems with screws loosening around frames and lenses dropping out, i’ve been back to the shop two or three times and I believe at one stage one of my pairs of glasses was sent back for some other work to be done. I’ve never experienced this level of problem with any other optician each time this happened the repairs have been done as quickly as they Can be but it’s a shame this issue exists.”

“I visited Scrivens in Rhyl, North Wales to purchase my first pair of glasses in a long time! I was quite nervous as it’s been a while, and was unsure as to what would be the best for me. The person who helped me was Sean McManus, he was brilliant! Put me at ease and was a brilliant sales man who didn’t make me feel under pressure. Excellent service. I’ve now successfully purchased from Scrivens with the help of this brilliant young man and the fab service from other staff.”

“I am not happy with my glasses they seem to have a coating on that keeps smearing never had this on any other glasses. I have not had time to go back with them yet as I have been working but I will go back with them on Wednesday or thursday”

“This is for follow up service for hearing aids: after some booking issues (they really need to address the way they communicate between booking and the audiologist), we finally saw the audiologist and can now say we had great service (thank you Vinay Chouhan), who was friendly, efficient and dealt with us most excellently. So we can NOW give an ‘excellent’ review.”

“I haven’t been to the opticians for a very long time but decided I needed new glasses. The optician at Bishop Auckland was excellent as I have many problems with my eyes the girls were all amazing and helped me choose a new pair of glasses and I had lots of choice. Thankyou for your patience!!”
