“I have received excellent help from Scrivens. I had had a sore eye for several days. Finally I contacted Scrivens and they saw me the same day. Caroline removed the object from my eye swiftly and expertly. I am very grateful.”

“Useless! Waited 3 weeks for able eye test appointment then they cancelled the day before. Booked another eye test for 3 weeks later and they cancelled it AGAIN. Now booked to go to Specsavers tomorrow.”

“Took my father-in-law John to Scrivens in Chapel en le Frith: Helen Bamforth looked after us like family! The whole process of a hearing test for John couldn’t have been less painful. Matt ran the through the options etc and John was won over; the new hearing aids are an instant improvement over his aging NHS options! John will soon be celebrating his 90th listening to all his family and friends, and back at his favourite pub 👍❤️”

“10 days ago I ordered a new pair of verifocal glasses; Nikon lenses from the Banbury store (£500) The frames I choose in the store were damaged/had a piece missing. I pointed this out when placing my order and said to the member of staff I would need a new frame not the ones off the shelf as they were damaged. Today I went to collect my glasses only to find it was the damaged pair from the store. Perhaps they thought I wouldn’t notice! Obviously at no stage of producing these glasses has quality control been applied or even common sense! I now have to wait for 🤞new frames and for the store to fit the new Nikon lenses into them. Very poor customer service!”

“I would like to thank you Scrivens for making my appointment with the most wonderful young lady on Wednesday the 4th Sept at Parkview Bromsgrove for my check up and replacement hearing aids she was most charming and efficient in helping and showing me how to set up and use my new aids with Bluetooth. Please forgive me for forgetting your name but a big thank you from me.🤩🤩🤩”

“I have recently have been to your branch in East Street Bridport. I was looked after by 2 ladies Tracy and Shirley . They really looked after me and put me at ease. They dealt with any problems I raised kindly and efficiently.”

“Dear Newark branch, 🌈 LGBTQIA+ Friendly 🏳️‍⚧️ Thank you for having the four of us in for eye tests and three new pairs of glasses. We'd also had a good experience with hearing tests beforehand. Special praise and relief for being Trans-friendly towards my spouse, buying their first glasses since starting the transition journey. You were all so kind and enthusiastic to them. Now that we know the Newark branch is Trans-friendly we will keep coming as safety and kindness is sadly not guaranteed. Thank you very much. Their new purple / aubergine glasses are really pretty. Unfortunately we can't assume that all branches are so friendly and safe, but we want to applaud staff in Newark for being kind and safe.”

“Two years on and we are struggling to get service from Huddersfield branch. It's 10 or 14 days for an appointment. We paid 3.5 k and are struggling to get assistance. We have seen many, audiologists, yet the latest excuse for a 10 day wait is the audiologist is on holiday. So are they all on holiday, is there no cover? I have tried to send an email to Ceo but he is not publishing his email address for customer use. We will complain again to head office, and hope they read this.”

“I use to be a regular customer but i am house bound now. My partner took my broken glasses to your bedminster branch & they repaired them foc when we were willing to pay for it, so thank you scrivens for your continued great service.”

“I am so pleased I found Scrivens, they were brilliant, the eye test was excellent, being disabled it was perfect, with parking outside, and no steps ,would 100% recommend, thank you all the lovely staff”

“I cannot express how good the team are at Didcot. They work so well as a team go out of their way to help you. I have known Jo for many years though seeing her at Scrivens she is excellent also Suyatha, Alex, & Margaret. Communication & understanding with clients is brilliant. They really deserve a medal.”

“My husband and I attended Brandon branch for eye appointments. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The optician was very professional and thorough with the eye test. Would recommend Scrivens at Brandon as the whole experience was stress free.”

“Turned up at Scrivens Penistone today, shaky and upset after a difficult & painful experience with another firm of opticians. Everyone was very kind, very professional and very HUMAN. Rachel was able to fit me in almost immediately for an extremely reassuring check of the eye which had been left sore by the other firm. I have switched to Scrivens from now with no hesitation at all!”

“Very surprised at the reception I was given today at Scrivens in Diss by one of the emplyees. ~I have used Scrivens in Diss for many years and have always found the staff to be most welcoming and helpful. Today I noticed a new female member of staff who was most officious and abrupt and I left with no advice. I will be most careful not to visit again with this member of staff present.”
