“The cost of varifical lenses is way too much. Looking at adding at least 200 pounds to the lenses. ASDA varifocal is included in the price. I believe Scrivens need to adjust their prices or likely to lose business. No problem with staff.”

“I have found over the years that the customer service given to me has been faultless. When I had a poor result from one prsciption assessment this error was corrected without any fuss or acrimony. I am a demanding individual when it comes to the standard of vision I require to enable me to birdwatch!!!”

“I lost one of the nose pieces from a pair of glasses and popped into my local Thirsk branch, hoping they could help. Not only did they fix it then and there, I also got a new pair of nose clips and there was no charge. All done safely and securely too. Many thanks Scrivens in Thirsk!”

“Staff friendly and helpful. However it has cost me a total of £387 to finally get glasses I can use. Bifocals are not suitable for using my iPad so after paying extra to have first pair altered I have had to buy a second pair of glasses for using the iPad. Last year at another opticians I had 3 pros glasses for half the price.”

“Eyesight test very professional and efficient. Prescription to cover close up peripheral vision, especially for IT work to save have to peer at the screen up close. Suggested the perfect pair of frames first time and at a very reasonable price which was a pleasant surprise. Fitting carried out expeditiously and offering of after sales service comforting.”
