“We have been a customers of Scrivens Opticians for many years, receiving both eye tests and hearing tests throughout our appointments. My husband and I have always been satisfied with the highly professional service we have received and at all times excellent help and advice when choosing new spectacles. A good team at Scrivens, who work very well together with high standards, always giving a warm welcome.”

“We had just been down near Newquay for a day when my husband had an accident with a high gate in the wind that badly damaged his glasses. We headed straight to the Newquay branch and were met by very friendly professional staff (with high covid protection ) who quickly assessed the damage. We were told that the prescribing optician would try to find a new pair of frames to fit the lenses and suggested we come back in two hours. On our return we are asked to look & try on two pairs that would fit, but very helpfully they suggested that at on our own risk they would firstly try to repair the damaged hing - we said go ahead ! Amazingly the very helpful dispenser managed to mend it. All staff had helped us very willingly and professionally. We are down often near Newquay to see family & friends and we will give a big recommendation for them to visit this branch. This help was not charged for - just a donation to the charity box. Thank you so much. Jan & Chris”

“Excellent COVID compliance. Felt very safe. Eye test and ordered two pairs of glasses. Great staff and good advice given. Glasses arrived in less than a week and the whole process was excellently managed. Highly recommend.”

“The staff at the Heanor branch are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Both my eye test and hearing test were conducted very thoroughly and professionally in these difficult times and I felt completely safe. I would have no hesitation in recommending this branch to anyone else.”
