“Lovely local opticians, polite and helpful staff and professional optician. I am giving you a 'good' because your equipment for eye testing is dated compared with Specsavers which seemed so hi tech. The range of spectacles was very good and of high quality. Would I continue to use Scrivens, Yes!”

“The staff were very friendly and efficient, hygiene was very good even wiping the pen I had to use. The only thing I would say there wasn't a great choice of glasses but I guess that could be due to Covid as they have to quarantine them for a while once you have touched them. I am happy with the glasses I did purchase.”

“The assistants were very professional and helpful. The optician was also very helpful and explained everything. Really there is nothing more that I can say except that everybody did their job.”

“Eye test and hearing test efficiency done with the results acted upon thereafter. New glasses were recommended, fine. i asked if my existing frame could be used - this carried an additional cost of £35 apparently - i asked what this was for - it's a 'risk cost' was the reply, . "OK" i said "at least if my existing frames break while being made up, the lenses will still be good" Oh no, the whole cost is lost - including the lenses and we start again?? So the whole cost quoted is at my 'Risk'?? and i'm still none the wiser what the £35 is for? Anyway, all's well that ends well - i have my new lenses in my old frames, but i am still not understanding the additional risk cost?”

“Excellent service. I felt my eyes were taken great care of and I was given a number of contact lens options to try as my eyesight has improved since my last prescription. The optician really spent time to explain how the various options could work for me, including associated costs.”

“I had my vision checked and new pair of prescription glasses made by Scrivens. The glasses caused some problem with me and they suggested me to have a new eye test. As it turns out the first optometrist was not proficient enough and had made the wrong prescription. The redid the glasses with new prescription with no additional charge and this new pair are perfect.”

“generally very good Was told to wait 3 to 4 weeks for my glasses. Waited 5 weeks then had to phone to ask where they were only to be told oh! we have them waiting for you. very pleased with the prescription and the resultant glasses.”
