“I have regularly used Scrivens since I moved back to Norwich 2006. I was referred to have cataract surgery at N&N hospital. Since January I've had 4 lots of surgery . I have one good eye and one minus a lens. July earliest appointment. I have found Scrivens staff always friendly and helpful. Eye tests have always been comfortable and informative. This is probably not the review you require. I will be returning as soon as N&N hospital makes my eyes comfortable again.”

“The visit, yesterday, went well and the optometrist, Sonya Gandhi, was very supportive. Sonya Manley helped me find the new glasses and all went well! Thank you for a very supportive staff who are interested 'beyond the call of duty'.”

“nice staff but i was early for my eye test had one test then had to waiit for another test and sat around for about 2 hours i said ive been up very early and need to get it done as soon as possible then tried to charge me but on the letter it said it was a free test so i showed letter and got it free got to go back for some more glasses but will go on a weekend this time”

“Always a good service thank you. BUT seriously I do not need almost daily reminders of an appointment that I made... I book on Friday for the following Saturday and received 3 text an emails and a phonecall!! But over the top me thinks 🙄”

“I've been with Scrivens on Upper St Giles Norwich for over a decade. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I always feel that I have had a thorough eye test and am given the appropriate presciption. When it comes to chosing frames, staff go out of their way. They advise well in suitability and often go looking for pairs that will suit my faceshape too.”

“After having hearing aids since the 1980,s and struggling to hear with them and that goes for a pair I bought myself. My wife and I were considering to go private at the recent appointment with Scrivens. The audiologist did the usual test then fitted the NHS danalogic aids, I couldn't believe that I could hear my own voice so clearly, also I can hear sounds that I have missed over at least 30 years, even the kitchen clock I can hear, and what is more the aids seem to make all the sounds more natural to me, I gave up listening to my hifi system years ago with all of my old hearing aids they were not very good to say the least, with the latest ones I can hear a lot of conversations without straining, they are the best aids I haver ever had. Some thought and excellent engineering has gone into these aids, and the attention at Scrivens was spot on. I know of several people who have given up on using their aids because they think they amplify too much noise, well the world is a noisy place and getting more so, however these aids make the sounds more natural to me, and you can always adjust them to situations you find yourself in, using the BeMore app.”

“Friendly service, efficient eye & hearing tests and wise advice. We didn’t feel under pressure to make a purchase. My wife’s prescription was attended completely, unfortunately the particular frames I desired were not available.”

“I actually went to the local branch as I always do, this time for a repair to a pair of glasses that you sold me, but alas the matter has not been resolved not for the want of trying be both me and your staff.”

“I had a consultation with Jane at Sandy Lane Surgery Leyland, very good service, explained everything at each stage. My hearing test was better than the previous ones I have had which were private, would recommend this service, came home with new hearing aids so hearing excellent.”
