“After having hearing aids since the 1980,s and struggling to hear with them and that goes for a pair I bought myself. My wife and I were considering to go private at the recent appointment with Scrivens. The audiologist did the usual test then fitted the NHS danalogic aids, I couldn't believe that I could hear my own voice so clearly, also I can hear sounds that I have missed over at least 30 years, even the kitchen clock I can hear, and what is more the aids seem to make all the sounds more natural to me, I gave up listening to my hifi system years ago with all of my old hearing aids they were not very good to say the least, with the latest ones I can hear a lot of conversations without straining, they are the best aids I haver ever had. Some thought and excellent engineering has gone into these aids, and the attention at Scrivens was spot on. I know of several people who have given up on using their aids because they think they amplify too much noise, well the world is a noisy place and getting more so, however these aids make the sounds more natural to me, and you can always adjust them to situations you find yourself in, using the BeMore app.”

“Friendly service, efficient eye & hearing tests and wise advice. We didn’t feel under pressure to make a purchase. My wife’s prescription was attended completely, unfortunately the particular frames I desired were not available.”

“I actually went to the local branch as I always do, this time for a repair to a pair of glasses that you sold me, but alas the matter has not been resolved not for the want of trying be both me and your staff.”

“I had a consultation with Jane at Sandy Lane Surgery Leyland, very good service, explained everything at each stage. My hearing test was better than the previous ones I have had which were private, would recommend this service, came home with new hearing aids so hearing excellent.”

“Visited Scrivens at Market Deeping for a new hearing aid, paid for a private one as the NHS one was useless. It has taken several visits to get my very bad hearing sorted out. Suzanne Stevenson has been great, she is thorough, caring, very patient and understands the many problems associated with bad hearing (being deaf herself). After many complications, one being a very bad hearing infection which she found and sent me to the Doctors to get sorted out. Suzanne has been very helpful in finding the right hearing aid for me, the right ear fittings and I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Excellent optician, both professional and friendly. Shop staff too showed care and customer service. (Maidenhead shop). Would have given you five stars but consider the cost of £653 excessively overpriced especially as frames relatively cheap”

“Really very happy with your service Wish there had been a locum optician when you lost yours causing appointment cancellation. That needs sorting. But service choice advice and helpfulnss of all staff was outstanding and I would recommend Dr Ian Hale FCIS”
