“Staff were all very attentive. They were kind, helpful and made me feel very relaxed . Never felt pressured into buying anything I couldn't afford, which has happened to me before”

“I booked an appointment for a hearing test at the Park Place Darlington branch and the booking went smoothly. However, I get to the GP practise it's based in. And I sit there for 1 ½ hours before I just left because I had another appointment to get to. The reception at the GP had no communication with the scrivens there, despite them having a room there, so I had no idea what was happening. I can understand delays happen, maybe half an hour if you're unlucky but never have I had to wait 90 minutes after the appointment for no one to come. I'd not recommend you go to this branch to get a hearing test at all. Complete waste of time and stressful.”

“Well, I turned up at my local Scrivens today at 10:20 for a 10:30 hearing test having booked it a month previous only to be told they had no record of my appointment ! I had to show them my appointment card for them to realise the mistake was not mine . It turns out that someone else had been given my appointment for a earwax removal . I was not impressed to say the least. Their excuse was that they had had a computer glitch which must have wiped my appointment from their system , well that is too convenient , they did offer an appointment for the next day in another Scrivens 15 minutes away ? I said no thanks . Very disappointed to find a a paying customer for an earwax removal was more important than an NHS hearing test etc.”

“For several years I’ve been meaning to have my eyes tested for new distance glasses, mainly for golf as seeing golf balls in flight far away in the distance is difficult. I popped into Scrivens by chance as was outside shop. They were extremely helpful and professional, I wish I had gone to them a long time ago. I’m having new lenses fitted in my sun glasses frames. Sunil who tested my eyes is outstanding. What a great Optician. I have been put off by other Opticians as feel I have been coned by them.”

“I attended my Enfield branch as I was due for my 2yr check up.I explained I was experiencing some difficulty with distance vision. I am recovering from a stroke I had 3 months ago. They were very kind and understanding and I received good advice and care during the test and fitting afterwards. I would wholeheartedly recommend them. I was myself encouraged to go there by a friend and have continued since. I wish their staff all the best”

“I had an excellent visit to Scrivens in Broadstone - Dorset. I have always found the staff extremely helpful. Mrs. Jane Coombs especially has always been very kind and helpful and suggested that I'm not in need of new glasses for the time being. Many thanks to everyone.”

“Scrivens in Hythe, Hampshire were amazing, very thorough eye test and also notice a change and referred me for blood tests. All staff were very helpful, friendly definitely wouldn't go anywhere else.”

“With a weary heart having been sent to Scrivens by QA I went along to see them. I assumed that they would be like the previous, different opticians shop that I had a dreadful experience in Portsmouth with. Also the audiologist that cleaned out my ears said that she had poor feedback from her customers about Scrivens putting me into despair about my visit. Then I met Ester in Havant Scrivens who picked up on my attitude, and went in a direct but courteous tone to tell me that all the audiologists in the shop were trained and efficient. Then went on to clearly demonstrate her knowledge in the fitting of my new aids for me. So go along to their Havant shop with confidence that they will look after you, are all trained but in my experience also, actually care for their customers' welfare. My new aids work well, and can be programmed from my phone as Ester showed me. So it is all good I am delighted to say.”
