“Great friendly staff. Only downside are that the room they use to check your peripheral vision and hearing test is too small and claustrophobic. The headphones used to check hearing didn’t seal around the ears and exterior sounds such as chatting in the next room filtered into the headphones. As I said at the start of this review, the staff were great it’s just the tools and environment that lets the unit down. Provide a sound proof booth or at least a decent pair of headphones so staff can do A more professional job.”

“Hearing test had to be aborted as one ear had too much wax. Need to rebook after I have booked an appointment with doctor to syringe ear. It would be more helpful if the initial hearing test when I came for my eye test included an examination of my ears as yesterday appointment was clearly a waste of time.”

“Everyone in the shop is invariably polite and I have no complaints on that score over the 4 years I have been using Scrivens. My only concern is that it is always a different optician for each appointment. I know professionally this should not make any difference but inevitably each one has a slightly different approach and is reliant on notes from their previous colleague. We are starting from scratch every time.”

“Have already done this. Very pleased with optician who tested my eyes following cataract surgery. However I felt I had to wait too long for specs to arrive nearly three weeks when they had been marked urgent.”
