“BEFORE I CAME TO SCRIVENS FOR MY HEARING CARE I HAD TO GO TO BRADFORD ROYAL INFIRMARY AUDIO DEPARTMENT FOR MAINTAINENCE OF MY HEARING AIDS AND HEARING TESTS. MOST TIME I HAD TO WAIT IN A QUEUE OF 20 TO 30 PEOPLE ON AVERAGE. BUT NOW I AM WITH SCRIVENS I CAN JUST BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT THE NEAREST BRANCH WHICH IS A LOT EASIER FOR ME. I HAD TRIED TO GET NEW HEARING AIDS FOR 10 YEAR OR MORE THEN SCRIVENS GAVE ME A PAIR IN A MATTER OF WEEKS AFTER TESTS.SO I AM HAPPY.”

“I had a hearing test today at Haywards Heath, being told you have a hearing problem is not what I wanted to hear (literally) but all the staff are quite simply excellent. The test was very comprehensive, professional and informative. Information was delivered in a sympathetic manner which encapsulated the whole process and potential solutions. No hard sell but a quality clinical assessment and advice. As a retired NHS GP I know how difficult it can be to deliver very high quality care and I am extremely glad I booked in at Scrivens. Very well done to everybody involved and thank you from me.”

“I recently moved to vary focal glasses which I purchased from Bury St Edmunds branch. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Living 40 miles away Jan the branch manger very kindly delivered the glasses to my home as we live in the same village.”

“My 93 old father who is very vulnerable was sold inappropriate hearing aids which continually fell out and filled with wax. He returned the devices just outside the 60 day return policy and now they are refusing to refund the £3500 they took off him. The audiologist who took him for this money has left and they are using every tactic available to avoid refunding the money. Avoid at all costs”

“On arrival a very tall young man opened the door for myself and my carer to whom I'm in a wheelchair and was welcomed with a smile. The young girl at the desk wished me good afternoon and I felt welcomed. I came to collect my private hearing aids which are brilliant. The hearing room was at the very back of the shop with a step, but the tall cheery man took control of my wheelchair like I was at a theme park and took me down and he's was so pleasant, couldn't thank him enough. The hearing lady was brilliant and understanding and I just want to thank you all at scrivens willenhall for giving me my hearing back.”

“My mother has always struggled with her NHS hearing aids, leaving her isolated at social events, and unable to enjoy television. We had been back to stamford store many times before, but after a friend told us about the new nhs hearing lady, and recommend her, we made an appointment and saw Penny. WOW! Penny was very welcoming and listened to mums problems. She then made some changes to her hearing aids. Mum has been involved in every conversation since! My family can't belive the difference! Penny welcomed us to come back and see her when ever mum needed, which is extremely reassuring for mum and myself. I can't thank her enough, I will recommend her to everyone! Thank you Penny!”

“Visited for a sight test at your Rotherham store as I hadn't had one in over 3 years, I was greeted by friendly staff and had a thorough sight test. My glasses are the best I've ever had. I have Nikon lenses. Highly recommend”

“Dont touch them with a barge pole!!! My glasses were not fit for purpose and they refused point blank to replace frames that obviously were never going to fit my face properly. They made continual adjustments over the space of 2 months or more and kept saying " see how you get on"! They now sit in a drawer and are not used.”

“Having my hearing deteriorate quickly over the last few years, I was worried about losing it altogether. When Scrivens hearing care was recommended, I immediately sought advice, which came from Qais at Spring Hall medical Centre, Halifax. He did a very thorough assessment of my hearing and recommended the hearing aids I have now, showed me how to use with the app on my phone, clean and insert them. Thank you. Denise Morley”

“Chapel en le Frith: . I recently had a problem with my spectacles and the staff were extremely helpful and professional in rectifying the problem which after some time resulted in replacing the spectacles. I feel reassured that there is a local opticians who always treat the customer with professionalism and respect. Well done to staff at this branch and keep up the good work.”

“I have been waiting for over a year to get an appointment in the Havant branch to get my NHS hearing aids updated, now due for a repeat test. When I call the phone goes through to head office, who promise to ring back when an appointment is available, not surprisingly no ring back occurs. Maybe I should go back to my GP and get referred somewhere else.”

“If you're looking for excellent hearing care in Sutton Coldfield, I would highly recommend Sophie, the audiologist in the Parade Scrivens branch. New to hearing aids, she has given me very pertinent and useful advice and fully understands the adjustment hearing aids can present emotionally. Passionate about helping people, she is an asset to Scrivens!”
