“I’ve given 4 as told two weeks for my new glasses which turned into nearly 4 weeks. This was due to the lab not being happy with the lenses and reheated them but I as the customer was not informed. As soon as my glasses was revived by the shop I was informed and dealt with very swiftly and with professionalism.”

“I was very pleased with my dealings of all of the staff.They made me feel comfortable and were most helpful! Was however disappointed in the length of time it took my sunglasses to arrive considering they were my old frames and only required new lenses.”

“The check-up met my expectations and the service was prompt and professional. Unfortunately, Scrivens let themselves down when I collected my £400+ pairs of glasses. I had no cash with me as I had pre-paid at the time of order. I asked for a bag to use to return home but was only offered a 5p bag for which I could not pay. There was no waiver or concession, so I left, clutching my glasses cases and other papers and headed for home. I think a little bit of understanding could have been applied . . . .”

“Lovely, helpful staff as always. My only gripe is that I struggle to find frames at Scrivens outside the teen range that are small enough for my face (I need a 49 width). That said, I purchased a gorgeous Oasis frame that I am very pleased with.”

“The manageress of the branch which I attended (Mildenhall) was excellent - very helpful and offering good after care. The retail side has improved although the selection of frames could be wider. The Opthalmologist there is always first class.”

“The staff were courteous and professional, the glasses are of good quality but I thought the price (not far short of £500) was horrendous. For that reason I don' t think I will be going back.”

“The eye test and assistance with choosing my spectacles was very good. Unfortunately the fitting measurements were incorrect when I collected them. However I was remeasured and new spectacles were ordered immediately. The final result is very good.”

“Overall quite satisfied with the service. The staff were helpful and the optician undertook a detailed assessment explaining all the steps before recommending my glasses. Due to a technical problem, there was a delay in me receiving my glasses from the day of assessment...however, overall experience with the service was good.”

“Good review new glasses required a little on the expensive side for one pair of glasses were not offered another pair for half price Was offered a voucher for M&S still waiting for voucher”

“Very helpful and pleasant staff. Not rushed, you feel like an individual customer not on a conveyor belt of lots of people. I do feel that my daughters have been given more discount and offer vouchers than me and my husband.”

“I had a very thorough, professional eye test from the optician. I needed reading glasses and they had a good selection for an affordable price. I love my glasses, but I was disappointed that staff did not check they were fitted correctly and one of the arms were loose. But overall happy with service.”
