“My new glasses were ready inside the expected time and the staff were always so cheerful and ready to help and get the fitting right however many times they needed to be adjusted.”

“The requirement to need Hearing Aids was alien to me, but I was fitted with a NHS Hearing Aid and then progressed to a private Hearing Aid. I attended the Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care Branch at 41 Corporation Street, Birmingham B2 4LS and the Service which I received throughout from Umar (Audiologist) was first class, he is excellent and a real credit to Scrivens Hearing Care. Umar was so helpful, patient and clearly an expert in his field. Nothing was a trouble to him and Umar demonstrated a high level of care towards me, the Customer. The Reception Team at the 41 Corporation Street, Birmingham Branch are so pleasant and helpful too. This Branch is highly recommended by myself who is very satisfied with Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, Corporation Street, Birmingham B2 4LS Branch.”

“I went to the Glossop Road branch and the staff were all so friendly and helpful right from the first meeting through to getting my glasses. Brilliant team of people and would recommend to anyone who wants honest expert advice on their eye sight.”

“Appalling In Every Respect One star is more than the Gosport branch deserves, particularly the troglodyte manager there. The way they have dealt with my elderly mother beggars belief. They made mistake after mistake in supplying her hearing aids, failed to grasp that when mumbling or turning their back on her when speaking, she couldn't hear. No apologies, and then claimed that my 90 year old mother was aggressive to staff and have discharged her. How utterly cowardly do you have to be? A 20+ stone man afraid of a 90 year old senior citizen, what a joke. Wouldn't use this lot if they were the last company on earth. Absolute affront to society.”

“My husband and I go to the St Ives (Cambridgeshire) branch and are consistently very impressed with the expertise and the level of care, concern and commitment shown by all whom we meet there. "Excellent service and clinical excellence" is indeed their goal and they do not fall short of it. I strongly recommend them to anyone who has problems with either hearing or any aspect of eyecare. The shop is tucked away in Crown Street, PE27 5 AB. (And there is a half-price sale on frames at the moment!)”

“Visited the Gosport branch today for a hearing test. I just want to that the service I received from the caring understanding compassionate professional audiologist young lady Miss E O’Mahony was 5 ***** all the way. I could not have been dealt with better than the polite understanding way she did with me. I hope the branch manager reads this and values such a wonderful member of their team. I must also mention Andrew who guided me through how I maintained my hearing aid and how they worked he was a really nice man who was 100% professional and polite. Thank you both, you both put me at my ease in what was a stressful time for me. I would 100% recommend the Gosport branch without hesitation.”

“I went into the rugeley store and I honestly cannot find a fault. Rosie catered to my every need and nothing was too much trouble. Louise was lovely and was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend this service to everyone I know. Well done girls!”

“For many years I have been traveling out of my home town, Chipping Norton, to visit a audiologist in a major town. Recently when I felt my hearing aids needed replacing, I decided to visit Scrivens, who have a branch right here. I wished I had done this before: I got an appointment with an extremely helpful audiologist very quickly and he took me through my options, including NHS aids. I decided once again to purchase aids privately and the re-chargeable Oticon aids that he recommended cost less than I thought they would. Two weeks later I had them fitted and was immediately aware of the improvement. More importantly, my wife also noticed, and communication was so much better! A couple of weeks later I had a follow-up appointment when the audiologist helped me with the Oticon app and changed the earpieces to help me to fit them more easily. Altogether I am extremely pleased with my new hearing aids and the service I received from Scrivens, not only from the audiologist but also from the rest of the helpful staff at that branch.”

“Appalling service. They’ll try any trick to sell you their expensive frames, multiple frames and won’t give you the information you need if you decide to take your prescription elsewhere! Disgraceful.”

“I'm disgusted with the way Scrivens in Wimborne has treated my father, they supplied substandard frames that were coming apart in a matter of weeks, and although they replaced them the same defect occured also within weeks, but although they volunteered another pair of the same shoddy own brand frames they refused and are refusing to refund the cost of the glasses as they say the lenses are ok, even though they clearly can't be used without the frames and we don't believe the frames are even adequate... they have been nothing but obtuse, rude, disrespectful and negligent and I would strongly encourage everyone to go elsewhere for their eyecare unless they are going to be happy with broken glasses... they've dragged this out so long they now say the guarentee has expired anyway.”

“Following an appointment with an Consultant Eye Surgeon, I bought a heat pad for my eyes. It wasn't the one I was told to buy but I needed one urgently and went ahead with purchase. There was subsequently an issue which was fully resolved in days by the Manager who had made the sale. Thank you for your efforts on my behalf; Wem should be grateful to have Scrivens on the High Street.”
