I continue to wear the old Siemens hearing aids as I do not find the new to be an improvement or as comfortable.

The person i had for test was excellent as usual.. The front desk people you see now not so. As a regular customer and my glasses case didnt close properly asked for a new one to be told i would have to pay £3 to which i said definitely not. Then a bit later in the conversation was told i will give you one and not charge. Was given a choice of 4 flowery cases very puzzled as i wanted a good Scrivens case not those or the just flimsy plastic Scrivens cases. Never had this before but have new staff. Other people i know will not go back there again. I will see what response i get when picking up my glasses. Always been very satisfied there before. Prices and choice of glasses not the same there anymore.

My 91 year old Dad had his hearing aids made by Scrivens and they took months to get them. They would not go to his nursing home to fit them. He has Vascular dementia and cannot walk. He constantly needs the toilet. I had to take him with a carer from his nursing home 1 mile to the local clinic to get the ear moulds Measured. We then eventually got his hearing aids weeks later after chasing them up many times. Due to his condition he has now lost them in the nursing home. He has no quality of life as he cannot hear without aids. We asked if they would replace them at our cost and they refused our request. Scrivens do not answer the phone all the time and do not reply to email unless you specifically ask them for a reply. They state this on their email. What's the point ? Scrivens seem to be running their business on a shoe string and very under staffed. When i asked them for Dad's personal data they had lost his earmould details. Very careless of them. Now a 91 year old, who can't walk and has vascular dementia has to go through all this process again . Not good service at all.

Long standing Scrivens Tewkesbury Customer. I like the quality of your products. My visit this year unfortunately wasn't up to the usual standard I have become accustomed to. Positives from my recent visit - Optician fantastic, he was knowledgeable and kind. I didn't feel rushed, overall a great eye test and full explanation given. Appointment was easy to arrange. Negatives from my recent visit - Shop floor staff did not have a clue, frosty atmosphere between Laura and the new male manager - note to you both, do not bicker infront of your customers it makes us feel particulary awkward. Shop wasn't very clean - carpet a mess, glasses to try on smeared / greasy, crumbs in free hearing test area - this area also smelled. I was quoted for extras I didn't want or feel I needed yet Laura didn't want to take no for an answer (I hope she hasn't been pressured into selling things people don't want or need) The shop seemed to have lost its spark, there was always laughter and chatter and a warm feeling being there - this was definitely absent. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience (although I think your optician saved it from being one) It was just not the experience I have come to know and love. I was told Lindsey and Kirsty have recently left - please bring them back to create the magic I have become accustomed to! You had the best service in Tewkesbury and probably Gloucestershire! You really need staff that care about what they do and the people they are supposed to be looking after. I haven't decided if I am returning next year yet, my wife is due to visit you in February, I will see how her visit goes. Can you redeem yourselves?

Lovely staff however they seem to be unable to get my NHS hearing aids working properly they hiss all the time, when I turn them down to stop the hissing it's like wearing earplugs, and they irritate my ear canal too, I've given up wearing them, absolute rubbish

I recently purchased a new pair of varifocal glasses (cost £688.00) from Your Peterborough branch, and was offered a pair of identical sunglasses and frames for half price. When I selected the glasses I was surprised to find that I was charged £15.00 extra for the tint. No mention of the increase above 50% discount was mentioned until I came to pay, i.e for the sunglasses. I paid the extra, but it would have been far better if I had been told beforehand that an extra £15.00 would be added. Other than this the service was superb.

Lost hearing aid. Phoned and told replacement would be posted. I paid but queried if it would be set to my prescription. Then told it would not be mailed as I'd need an appointment. None available at any clinic in the area for a month. The staff member was clearly inadequately trained.

No follow up after given hearing aids, filled in survey that stated I may benefit with a review but no further contact, just send mountains of batteries.

Received a letter advising me to book in for annual check, which I delay for a couple of weeks while I fix an appointment for ears to be syringed (at not inconsiderable expense). I receive a hastener and telephone the same day to fix the appointment only to be advised they don't have any and are fully booked and they'll phone and let me know when they have one. When I ask how long they estimate that will be, I am advised about November (at least two months hence). Not impressed - a case of central office sending out letters without checking availability with their operatives?

Popped into your Tewkesbury shop recently to book my over due sight test after multiple attempts of calling. Why don't they answer their phone anymore? Took three attempts to book instore also. First attempt shop closed on Mondays! This information is not on your website! It clearly shows open Mondays 9am - 5pm! Very very annoying! Second attempt Aboard outside the shop, no lights on, no sign on the door to say closed but the door was locked at 2.30pm! Walked back past at 3pm noticed shop now open. I had clearly stumbled across an unscheduled break! I didn't feel the young lady was very apologetic or sincere when I pointed out to her how difficult it had been to book in. Decided to cancel my appointment in the end, as I just did not feel particularly welcome and was not happy with the difficulty I experienced trying to book my appointment. I need to contact you about getting my records transferred elsewhere now.

Did have a problem with new glasses went back with them and scriven were very happy to accommodate and are supplying me with a new pair! Very much appreciated!

Hi Optician was great but after seeing on your website 3 days for glassaes then told after paying they eould be a week when i complained was told we will call the lab to put a rush on them and they would be ready today Feb 8 rang shop to be told they are still not ready what a joke really need my glasses for sork/driving etc will not recommend Scrivens to anyone

Had stuff put in eyes waited 20mins until I could not see properly was then told internet was broken so sent home loss of days pay and for my daughter who had time off to take me as I couldn’t drive after! Will rebook and try again!

I have visited this month young opticians Check my eyes sights not impressed its looks he is learning and not experienced, won't recommend, any one else to go there's.

Can't get an appointment toget to get them sorted after being sent for repair been on the phone been promised cancellation but it never happend 6months now can't use them as they have to be put through computer but it's!impossible to get an appointment by phone very poor after care so I can't use them , one appointment was cancelled on the day disappointed to say the least

Good service up to follow-on service. Had aids fitted at beginning of Sept 2021 but no dates available for 4-week check up until NOVEMBER! I have paid nearly £3000 for a service which does not seem to exist. Very disappointing,

They dont tell you that you got to re-charge them every day. In fact after about eight hours of usage they run out of charge.

After my eye examination I was prescribed glasses. They were for a total of over £300. I paid a deposit of £200, the glasses were to be ready in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately I contracted COVID-19 and was very unwell for a long time. Thank God I made it through. I couldn’t walk past my front door for sometime as well. All my house hold one by one received a fair share of the disease. Social isolation became social isolation. It’s after some time that I remembered my Scrivens prescription and the deposit I paid for the glasses. When I managed to go there I was told I lost the glasses and the deposit. That would not have been a problem if I was told before I paid the deposit that I would loose the glasses and the money I would have made an informed decision. But I was not told. There was no clear written information that could back their decision of taking deposits from customers and not providing the services as expected. Why didn’t they send me massages, email or phone to let me know that I’m going to loose my glasses and deposit if I don’t collect them. However to what I was facing in my life, I’m happy I have what’s left of it. I and my family will never be going to Scrivens again. They can take the glasses and the deposit as they have already done. I will take my service somewhere else.

Really disappointed with the hearing aids I got had a hearing test in a normal room no better treatment Thani got at spec savers just want to give out aids easy money sad that the nhs are been ripped off didn’t even bother to check the last aids I got

Eye test seemed fine picked frames varifocils ordered a long wait for delivery when arrived looked perfect I could see perfect but could not read after been re- measured found to be completely different from original measurements another long wait these glasses where not cheap could have got same lenses in 7 days less than half price online
