“Fabulous knee length boots. The accommodate my high instep and come up to my knees. I am over the moon with them and I am now all set for the Autumn & Winter”

“Fast delivery, beautifully packaged. I love these mules. I don’t think I’ve ever owned a pair of lovely shoes that actually fit my wide feet. These come close and I will keep them. Trouble is that, apart from having wide feet, I have a very high instep too. I’m hoping that as the leather is so soft they will ‘give’ after a couple of wears. I just need to be able to slide my feet in another quarter inch but my high instep prevents this. I’ll still be taking flip flops in my bag, as usual, for when they rub.”

“I’ve never had a shoe fit my severe bunions until these shoes. I’ve been searching through internet to find shoes that fit my feet, and I found this brand recommended on a Reddit post. They truly uphold their mission statement and goals! Will be coming back to get more shoes!!”

“I have mild but very painful bunions. To be honest, I didn’t believe Sargasso & Grey shoes would make any difference, but at a recent wedding I managed to wear heels for the first time in years! I wasn’t even in pain after dancing for hours, just had normal tired feet. “The shoes, although expensive, looked very well made. But unfortunately, were not wide enough. They hurt my feet, so sadly, I had to return them. So the hunt for smart shoes that are comfortable continues. The return process was easy. I am waiting for my refund as we speak. Ordering was easy too and the parcel arrived quickly.”

“Lovely leather and suede espadrilles that fitted perfectly and were super comfortable first time on! The leather will keep its shape much better than the fabric versions that I have seen from other retailers and I am sure they will last for many summers to come. I have worn them on two evening occasions so far and they were admired both times. The order was received well packaged and within the expected delivery time. Excellent service and lovely shoes!”

“Wonderful shoes the only down side is that I must stop buying shoes from your range.I have wide size 6 feet with an arthritic big toe joint so not easy to get comfy shoes that look so elegant, Thats until you discover Sargasso and Grey. Comfortable supportive elegant footwear,what’s not to like. So glad I took the plunge and purchased these shoes,my fourth paint from the range.”

“I ordered a pair of Fiona gold mules extra wide, I don't have really wide feet but I couldn't get into them”

“The only pair of S&G shoes that I have had to return because they are too narrow. Where the tongue was stitched into the trainer was right at the widest part of my foot I did not want to risk hoping that they would stretch only to find that they still hurt”

Hi Kaye Whilst it's reassuring to learn all of your other S&G shoes hit the mark in terms of fit, we are sorry the trainers were not quite right. This is valuable feedback which we will take on board. We are creating new lines of trainers for our AW2025 collection, including styles with a very wide toe box. We are expecting these new styles at the end of September, so please do visit us again!

“I ordered four pairs of shoes, your reviews gave me confidence to try your brand. However, all pairs were too tight at the front despite being wider fit. A real shame as they look lovely but just squeeze my toes together! I would have liked to see more open toe occasion shoes in navy which was what I would have ordered if you had them available.”

“These shoes are for giants! I normally fit a EU42 like a glove, but for some reason this company says a size 42 are a UK9 (mormally an 8), but I went ahead and gave them a shot. They are incredibly big!! Agree with the fact they cater for bunions etc, but much too long in the length. Very disappointing”
