“I really wanted these cecily sandals to work because I struggle with finding comfortable shoes with a heel. They seemed ok when they arrived but after wearing these for one evening I developed a pain in one knee that is still lingering after 3 weeks. It must be something to do with the angle of the foot or the pressure on the joint. I will not be able to wear them ever again so they are an expensive waste . Such a let down after all the great reviews I’d read.”

Dear Mrs Nev I am sorry to learn that you developed pain in your knee whilst wearing the Cecily sandals. With an 8cm heel, they are the highest heels we make, and heels this high undoubtedly put additional pressure on the balls of the feet, as well as calves and knees. Whilst we do put memory foam padding in the insoles, the slim heel of this sandal also means that leg and core muscles need to work harder to maintain balance on such a slim heel base. We have recently introduced platform soles to some of our shoes so that additional height can be gained from the platform rather than the heel. These styles also have thicker heels which will help offer more stability. We hope these sandals will offer a more practical choice for customers looking for high heels. We do appreciate your feedback as this helps us to continue to improve our shoes and make them as comfortable as possible for all of our customers and I am sorry again that you experienced discomfort when wearing these heels. “I love the shoes but after wearing them they cut my foot at the stitching on the front. I had them professionally stretched but still very sharp at the same spot. This took me to a week before my daughters wedding which I bought the shoes for. I'm out of options and I simply cannot wear them.”
