“I bought the Vallera boots before Christmas (they’d been on my wish list for ages!) and the second time I wore them the leather pull-on loop snapped off the top of one of the boot. Customer service kindly refunded me part of the price as they were sold out so that was fine. The boots are lovely, fit perfectly and initially very comfortable. However, on longer wears the insole was just way too slippery my feet couldn’t cope no matter what socks I was wearing! I got blisters on the soles of my feet and my toes ended up pushing on the top of the boot which really hurt! The comfort panel on the right foot then completely wore through to the leather on the other side one day after just 2 hours of wear! I tried some insoles but it just didn’t work. As they weren’t cheap I am a bit disappointed. I really struggle to find nice, comfortable and stylish boots and thought I had finally prevailed but sadly not. The quality of the leather etc. is lovely but the slippery insole is a real problem and now I can’t buy any of your other gorgeous shoes for fear of having the same issue.”

“I tried two sizes (EU 39 and EU 38), but unfortunately neither worked and I had to return them. The 39 was too big, and although 38 may be my correct size, it still slipped at the heel. This seems to be a shape issue rather than sizing the heel is cut low and doesn’t hold narrower heels securely. Lovely design, but not wearable for me.”

“Delighted with this shop! I am a size 42 and extra wide and it has been impossible to find pretty shoes for myself. With Sargasso & Grey I am spoilt for choice. The shoes arrived in 3 different sizes. One was the perfect fit with elegant heels. They were beautiful packed in strong shoe boxes with a shoe bag included. The return of the other three was so easy and free. So happy with these high quality shoes! Thank you!”

“So so happy with my gorgeous dark green suede shoes. I had ordered these in 2025 in sizes 5 and then 4.5 which were too long so very pleased to be able to order them again size 4 which were just perfect (especially as they were in the sale!) Delivery (and returns) are quick and easy. Love the choice of styles and colours. Great site for those who have wide (and extra wide) feet. Looking forward to the new range for Spring and Summer.”

“Prompt delivery, great packaging and lovely shoes but the arch support in the right shoe was lumpy and uncomfortable to wear. Unfortunately this meant I returned them but I would stress this is the first time I have had a problem and the other shoes I have are very comfortable.”

“I placed my first order with S&G and was delighted with the website, ordering system and prompt despatch. The shoes arrived securely and beautifully packaged. Having ordered the same extra-wide-fit shoe in different sizes I now know which to order in future. Sadly this style (Tori) wasn't comfortable over my rather large bunion so I had to return them - another easy process with S&G. I shall be looking out for styles with a more rounded toe and definitely try again. “Beautiful well crafted shoes. I now have quite a collection. I have 2 pairs of Jago boots, the first in black leather in my usual size.The second in suede which are much stiffer and toes more pointed, that for me, need to be a whole size larger . I'm sure they will soften over time. Delivery is prompt and any returns are easy to process. Comfort and style....sorted!”

“I love your shoes, and I have very wide feet with bunions and some toes that lay on top of each other. Your shoes are comfortable right out of the box. They are very fashionable and look nothing like shoes for feet that are not fashionably shaped. I have 6 pair now and returned only one pair. That return was quick and easy. Shipping to the US is surprisingly fast. I always get compliments on your shoes and I feel elegant in them. Can’t wait to see the Spring line.”
