Would definitely recommend Pure Cremation if you want something relatively stess-free. My wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the end of September and we discussed what she wanted after she passed away. She didn't want a "traditional funeral" as they are too expensive and nobody likes attending, so we decided to go for a direct cremation. Saw the adverts on TV and social media for Pure Cremation and decided to use them. Did all the relevant "paperwork" online which was simplicity itself. Received the information pack a few days later followed by a telephone call welcoming me. Sadly my wife passed away at the end of October at home, and after confirmation had been given it was a case of calling them to let them know. We were told that the team would be sent to collect my wife, and we would receive a call letting us know what time they would arrive. Sadly we heard nothing so my Son called to be told they were 4 minutes away. Not good as they would have turned up at the door before the family were prepared. The team that collected my wife, treated her with care and respect. When they placed her into the van, once the rear doors were closed softly they both walked away from the van, turned and bowed. They drove away very very slowly until we could no longer see them. I was kept informed as to what was going to happen to my wife, including the date of the cremation. I received a call the day after confirming it had taken place and that they would be in touch once the ashes were very to be returned. I received a call from the driver telling me he would arrive between 10.30 and 10.45 today, which he did. Again, he was very professional and treated my wifes ashes with care. If I am honest, based on the price, I expected a white transit van (the one used carried the Pure Cremation logo etc), for a couple of people to rush in, pick up my wife and put her in a body bag, "throw her" into the van and speed off to the next "job". Nothing is further from the truth. In my opinion, and based on past experience of funeral directors, Pure Cremation are far superior. So much so, I will be arranging mine later today. There are 2 reasons that I can't give 5 stars. Firstly, the issue with not receiving the telephone call referred to above. Secondly, and more importantly, my wife's name is Tracey, and my contact was called Tracy Robinson. I would have hoped that they would think that this was a bit insensitive and allocate someone else. However, Tracy was fantastic.

The whole service from start to finish was professional and caring. They arranged a package suitable for my mother and kept us informed of when Mum was collected from the hospital before cremation. My only advice to customers is when calling to check on the very first call when there is availability for the funeral at your chosen location bedore you pay as we had to wait over a month for the funeral which fortunately worked out very well for us in the end with all the things we needed to organise for Mum beforehand. Otherwise this was exactly what Mum would of wanted. Thank you Pure Cremation, it was a beautiful send off.

Overall a good service, but I was hurt when my husband was collected from our home and the black sheet covering him had holes in it. I felt this was disrespectful.

At a very distressing time I found Pure Cremation Ltd to be very professional and compassionate. I was told what would happen every step of the way and everything was carried out. I didn’t have calls from lots of people the same person contacted me each time. Slight training issue needed for the driver who delivered the ashes was the reason I didn’t give 100% satisfactory.

Alex was kind and caring, talked me all the way through my dads funeral plan excellent people skills. Only problem that I had was my dad died at home police was present at the time of his passing so they rang local undertakers as from what I was made aware pure cremation do not pick up if you pass away at home so adding more stress on having to pay extra fee to funeral home before releasing him to pure cremation team.

I couldn't have been happier with the service we received. However maybe rethink the free bag for life when the ashes are delivered its not a good look nor will I use that bag. The container with the ashes could be better looks like something cornflakes are kept in caused great distress for my mother.

We had no idea that we would do a pure cremation but upon the sudden death of my father in law it seemed the appropriate thing to do. The staff on the phone were very respectful of our loss and most helpful although we had not arranged a pre paid service. They kept us in touch with proceedings and dates that he would be cremated. The ashes were returned within 14 days, with and arranged time. All in all we were very happy with the service.

My grade would have been 5 stars but for the fact that it was my late wife's wish that she could help MS sufferers by donating her brain stem and spinal cord for research. This was made plain to Purecremation and stressed that she had to be put in cold storage within 4 hours - however her body was not picked up for 10 hours so the removal of body parts was not possible. Apart from this the service I received was first class - i was kept informed at each stage of the process so that was excellent.

While we always do everything we can to accommodate any form of donation where we are aware this is someone’s wish, sometimes this is not possible given the circumstances around someone’s passing. I can see that as soon as we were informed of your Wife’s passing, although her death had not yet been verified, we attempted to contact the MS Society to understand how we needed to proceed in order to accommodate the donation. As they were unavailable at the time to provide guidance, we then made the decision to bring your Wife into our care as soon as verification had taken place.
