Just beyond words appalling. Just terrible. I’m full of regret for choosing your terrible company. The installer himself was excellent but that’s the only one positive I can take from this dreadful process. I work in the field of low carbon/net zero and I’m just so disappointed that this level of service is being delivered. I’ll be using these experiences in my research and teaching to demonstrate what terrible practice looks like.

My Pod Point is not working properly and I am trying to get someone to come and fix it urgently but not being responded to.

Exceptionally frustrating experience. Complete lack of communication, inability to actually speak to anyone as all done via email. I had to pay up front for the installation and then it was best part of eight weeks before i actually got an installation appointment - and even then it was because i complained to the car manufacturer who have a partnership with PP and intervened on my behalf. Finally installed but a couple of weeks of use have highlighted a few issues on the install but no idea how to actually contact anyone to address them. I get its a busy time and Covid has made operating harder but the customer service model is terrible.

The whole process took well over 6 months. Paid for ground works to be done. That went Pete tong aswell. Finally got it fitted and the pod charger doesn't work. Not if it's me or I need to do anything to get it to work but nothing explained to me. No instructions left either.

very bad customer service, they did not deliver what we wanted and the engineers had no idea about the capacity available. they turned up without any warning and charged us for it over £1000 for work we did not want to carry out. We had a third party conduct the work for half the price and had to wait 3 months to have an installation date. Would not recommend pod point as they are overpriced and it is a poor product.

I waited over a month to be contacted about an installation date when the email said I would hear back within 10 working days. When I finally heard back I was charged £160 for a second engineer that wasn't needed and a ladder higher that was never even hired. The engineer that installed the pod, whilst the other one I apparently had to pay for just stood around, did a quick tidy job. Nothing was explained to me and neither of the engineer's seemed overly happy to explain much during the installation process. Overall very disappointing experience having this pod installed.

Took over 3 months to turn up, lots of recheduling at short notice often after I did all the chasing asking why installers had not turned up. Installer was good when we finally got one

Pod point effectively refused to lay the cable between the charge point and consumer unit, so I employed an electrician to do it. Pod Point also encouraged me to purchase 30m of cable at £5/metre over 15m, where I said that only 20m was necessary. They wouldn’t progress the job otherwise. Strangely enough I had approx 10m cable excess after my electrician had been. The installer took the cabling that I paid for away. No sign of a refund for the excess.

Our smart meter tells us that it is currently using less than 3kWh when we requested a 7kWh charger. I raised this concern two weeks ago with pod point and have had no reply or remedy.

Very untidy installation. The wall inside was left in a mess. The amount of work we had to do and pay for because the installation person couldn’t do it was incredible. Awful experience. Have complained and the company have not contacted me since

Had to get additional work completed which wasn’t actually required for the installation

It’s been a terrible experience. I have had an untethered unit fitted as the tethered unit was only 7.5 metres in length and wasn’t sufficiently long enough. I rang Pod Point to explain the predicament whilst the engineer was here (per his suggestion) and was advised by Solomon that they would post out a cable out to me Free of charge due to the mishap which isn’t any fault of ours. He promised me it would be here in 1-2 days. I asked him to contact the case handler to ensure there are no issues. He assured me there wouldn’t be. I still insisted he did inform the case handler out of courtesy. The engineer installing also called the case handler to explain the situation. I then got an email from the case handler totally misinterpreting the situation intentionally putting a spin on the words of Solomon’s conversation with me, telling me I need to buy my own cable. I explained all the background again via email reply…. He then rang me - I explained it all again and he told me he would speak to his regional manager and try to get it sorted internally. I have emailed back a couple more times and have been completely ignored. We now have a unit fitted which we cannot use until the cable is posted out to us. Please could you escalate this urgently and resolve the situation. Many thanks

Apart from paying in advance and waiting many weeks for the installation your team arrived without the charging wall unit, they had to come back another day - not impressed

I placed my order when I got my car in November and it took them 4 months to install. If I would have known that there was such a backlog from the outset, then I would have tried other suppliers. I think Podpoint are disingenuous with their customers and such poor customer service should be known from the outset. If I had a choice again I would use another company

A major problem with this company. They did not/would not carry out a site visit to determine what was required to install my Pod Point. I sent the photo's requested and was advised that an underground trench was required to lay cabling from the house to the installation point in garage. Turned out this was not required, as there was adequate power installation in the garage anyway! I wasted a £1000 and six weeks (and ruined garden), all for nothing! Who would install a major electric device without a site inspection by an electrician? Apparently, PodPoint don't think it's required. The man who eventually carried out the installation was great. Pity the work-up was appalling,

Emails not replied to. Could not explain what a data cable was for. Told to measure how much cable we needed. Was told after it was ordered we needed to have one to two meters spare at either end. Made several calls trying to get my certificates. Told it would take several weeks to get (after l had already waited a week) and to ask for a extension to the date of when l had to get my documents in to get the grant if l needed it! Our MCB was to be sent to us from Pod Point, when it did not arrive l phoned and was told it was out of stock. They were to order it again a parcel did arrive but we did not realise it was for us as it did not have our name on it! This was eventually sorted out several phone calls and a further parcel later.
