After having spent 3 hours filing out the initial application form and having to take lots of photos, it still took over 1 month to get an appointment. My next door neighbours who completed the initial form on the same day got a installation date 4 days earlier than even though we were both told on the same day! I tried to explain to podpoint they could save time and money by doing both installations at the same time as we both had already laid the cable through the loft. Once they did agree to do both on the same day, when the engineer arrived he only had one correct pod point so my appointment was pushed back by 5 days. Which was extremely annoying as I had waisted a day waiting at home and i had no means of charging my car at home. On the day of my instillation the engineer arrived at 10.30 even though I was given a time of between 8-10, the engineer explained he just could not get out of bed! The engineer also broke our trip switch during the instillation but did not own up to this, we found the broken part out on our drive after he left! My husband has since replaced it at a cost to us of just under £100.00. So in summary I was extremely unhappy with PodPoint and would not recommend them to anyone!!

Continuous questions & photographs needed. Not explained by garage at the point we were considering the car. Kept being told that Podpoint had all that was needed, not correct!

If you want to be on hold at least 30 mins before someone answers your call, or fill out lots of complicated paperwork then buy a pod point car charger. I gave up in the end. It would appear they have a good product, but not the service to back it up. I would go elsewhere.

The installation itself was good up until the point where the installer left! It was tested by attaching a fan to the output , but not the car. The fan worked but when I attempted to charged the car the charger cut out after about 30 seconds. Tried 3 times with same result. After several phone calls I was told some settings had been changed and to try it again. This time it charged the car but only at 5.8 kw not the 7 kw I had expected. Then it came to disconnect and the cable would not release from the charger. 40 minutes waiting on the phone and finally was led through steps to release cable... no joy. I was informed the "emergency team" would phone shortly. They didn't. In the morning I found an email suggesting the same steps I'd done yesterday evening. I went out to try these steps again but before I began I pulled on the connector and it came free. So all in all I'm not sure I have much confidence in pod point. I hope things improve dramatically very soon.

The installation of the equipment was very poor. The engineer did not follow our instructions. He has run the connection along a 'party wall' that has started a dispute with our neighbour. Our requests to pod point to fix the mistake have not been responded to.

No one showed up on installation day. Spent nearly 2hrs on the phone trying to sort, got sweared at by a member of staff because they forgot to put me on hold - and was talking to another member of staff. Still cannot speak to anyone to get resolved. So they have taken almost £600 off me and still dont have a PodPoint. Absolute disgrace.

Awful. Since installation I have had a problem with the PodPoint charger and I am not receiving updates and I do not know what the current situation is.

Everything was fine until my router had to be changed, re connection to new router has been a real problem, l’ve contacted podpoint by phone an email, and lm afraid that back up has been disappointing to say the least, one member of staff did send me a disconnect/re-connect email, but that didn’t solve the problem, sent further e mail explaining still no connection, no reply, lm sorry to say that lm beginning to think You got the money not too bothered about sorting out my connection problem,!!

Chaotic and poor administration of the pod point purchase and installation. Paid the money then ended up with little contact apart from repetitive emails asking the same questions. At one point it was so bad, I thought it was a scam!!

Awful experience so far, really disappointed. 24 hours to original installation date & we’re told: “Sorry, engineer ill, no installation for another two weeks.” At such short notice when we’d arranged time off work, given full payment to Pod Point & arranged for arrival of new electric car for that week too. Terrible. No response to email until WE called them. Said they’d try to get an engineer out for the afternoon of original day, but no one arrived; no email, call, message informing of this. How unprofessional?? There’s been no apology or offer of refund as we now will have to go & charge our car at cost to us because you’ve left us two weeks without a charging point for which we’ve paid you for. Horrendous.

Unfortunately the only fast interaction has seemed to be taking my money to purchase the pod point. Since fitting (cannot fault the original engineer, polite, efficient and did a great job) my pod point has had 2 issues, resolving these issues is stressful. The 1st is that the pod point will not connect to a new WIFI which means no expenses can be claimed. An engineer came out (4 week wait) to my property and ever since the pod point will not work. The issues have now been going on for 6 weeks with no answer on the support line (currently on hold for 23 minutes whilst typing this) or from emails sent over a week ago. I would like to believe that if I had not needed to interact with customer services after purchase that the product would have been great and good value.

As I started writing this review I had been waiting on the PodPoint telephone line for 39 minutes. This is the 9th call I have made about my PodPoint not working. They never do anything apart from sending me follow up emails telling me to follow WiFi connection instructions that don't work. I want an engineer to fix my home charger or replace it. They never phone back despite promises to do so. It is truly unprofessional and woeful. 44 minutes and still on hold. Someone called Temi finally answered after 52 and said there was nothing he could do. He would ask someone to call me back. Utterly pathetic service.

Pod-point engineer routed cable through brand new door without our consent and attached cable to unstable door step that we were imminenetly about to repair. Waiting to hear back from customer services.

After six weeks am unable to use the pod point. After copious e-mails and no attempts to contact me by telephone I have given up - waste of money (good job I've only got a hybrid)

Terrible at communication. Customer service is non existent. They should be ashamed. Vast improvement required. The installation engineer was excellent, which makes the customer service experience so difficult to understand. Big company mentality!

Extremely shambolic service. Numerous attempts at install that were all the fault of Pod Point or their 3rd party contractors. For a job that should be completed over two days it took approx 3 weeks

The work was fine and the charger works, but the customer service was shocking. I have now had my point point for almost a month and I am still yet to receive the invoice which I require to claim the EST grant. These documents should be getting sent out as standard given I was charged for the product over 2 months ago now.

The end product is great. But it took 4 months and three visits to complete to my satisfaction. The first installer laid a cable but said he could not connect up because of a missing “splitter”. The second installer said no splitter was needed but the cabling installed was not necessary. The third installer then said the cabling was fine and swiftly completed the installation. In between those visits were numerous emails with your team where coordination seemed a challenge at your end. If you can improve that then you will have happy customers. The whole experience was a huge inconvenience from start to finish.
