Overall I'm afraid to give a poor review. I am struggling to put acceptable because I do not feel that the whole process was acceptably managed. First, the installation guys were brilliant, the guys were amazing. Them alone is 5 star service. They were careful, courteous, and highly skilled. An A1 service from them. However, the management of the installation at the central office, and contacting you both by email and on the phone was the most appalling process I have ever experienced. This is for a number of reasons all of which you and I will have recorded from my correspondence with you. In summary, the problems all stemmed from your management of the installation dates and the ladder requirement. Something to me so simple to do was just dealt with by such utter incompetence. Being on hold for sometimes 30 minutes to confirm a delivery date only to be told no one was available to talk to me because "all managers are at lunch" feels pathetic. To be told over the phone repeatedly on separate occasions that I will be contacted "at the end of the day" or "first thing tomorrow" only to hear nothing until I chase is bad management. To be told that it is my responsibility to keep a ladder secure and safe for days, after and not before I've paid for the additional service is simply wrong. Furthermore, you cancelled an install at 3pm for an 8am install the following day with absolutely no explanation until I call just poor communication. There is a clear lack of care about your customers needs around taking time of work to be home and not earning is a real lack of the quality of service you should be providing. I used to recommend pod point as I've had one of your home chargers for years. This install is my second one, and the tech is very reliable. However, this service has scared your reputation in my mind.

If you have to phone and speak with someone, your level of customer service communication is awful. 30 mins waiting in queue with really bad music! Then someone answers to say I'll pass you through to somebody else, another 20 minutes waiting and then the original person comes back on the line to say someone will call you back within two hours, the call doesn't come and so repeat the whole process again !!

The customer service and communication was very. I had to phone for updates on emails and photos submitted having received no reply. The installation engineer was very helpful but was not able to fit a working connector head as he had not been supplied with working parts.

Apart from the actual installation the whole process was chaotic and very slow. Emails were not responded to and communication from pod point non existent unless I chased several times. I did nearly cancel the order on several occasions but persevered. The installation was surprisingly efficient - person turned up on time, did a neat job and within the agreed timeframe.

Installer requested a break mid install due to the heat, ended up coming back to continue works 3 hours later. Didnt clip the cable to the wall in places, left lots of mess around the property, said he would come back the next day to finish and didnt. Needs a new visit to rectify issues.

Very prolonged experience after paying upfront 3 months before the podpoint was operational. Very slow to respond to emails also. Although everything is working and I’m happy with the charger now, I wouldn’t recommend this company.

The customer service was awful - My emails were not responded on time, I had to take 1 day of unpaid leave when the original date of installation was given only to then be told that they couldn't install it on that day. It was very inconvenient.

Too many questions asked about installation finally lost the plot when they said they couldn’t drill through a step. Cancelled my order which in fairness they processed quickly. Annoying waste of time for no result after 3 weeks

Product seems to be very good, but initial fact finding is limited and this leads to complications that could be avoided. Support after fitting is pretty terrible, just getting a cable changed seems to be too much trouble, and then they want more cash upfront.

Organising my installation proved to be a lengthy process, requiring numerous phone calls to the Project Manager in an attempt to secure a booking date. It was a frustrating experience, as many individuals promised to provide updates but failed to follow through on their commitments. However, the engineer who ultimately came to install the pod point was exceptionally helpful and managed to redeem the overall poor customer experience I had encountered before this point.

Poor customer service - I had to do a lot of ‘chasing up’ with limited responses

Ground works done was fortunately half that was expected. Work was pre-paid for and I am having a dreadful time with Podpoint trying to arrange a refund. Emails are ignored and phone calls lead to nothing.

Not great at all. Cabling was left looking less than professional and they didn't clear up their mess and left all the rubbish. My partner was not given any verbal instructions or knowledge about how to use the charger. Very disappointed all round with the installation.

First guy I had was very helpful, realised a few things needed changing before he could final commission and also that the wrong part had been sent so organised for that to be changed and rebooked. The second guy was much less helpful and found more problems than solutions. Also on the 3rd visit, said he would be there at 8am and didnt arrive til 9, which apparently is as early as he ever starts. The scheduling team however booked him for 8. The scheduling team also don't start until 9 so when I was calling repeatedly when noone showed up, I had to wait until 9 for an answer.

Massive water leak, installer drilled through a radiator pipe. Nice guy, but I believe too rushed by PodPoint to do many jobs in one day. Not enough time to take care and go slowly. Scratched floor, marked walls… overall not great.

Very poor. The installation is not yet finished. The trunking from the electric box is missing parts and the end has fallen off as soon as the filler used dried, on the plastic truncking. A part of this is missing, and the whole thing looks like a very unsatisfactory installation. I have tried ringing your number but it is an unused number!!! Where do I go from here?? .

So so. Communications take days between emails. Decent product, but took a very long time to get set up (organising what needed to be done). It would have been better for an engineer to come around and provide confidence and a plan. Cable routing left untidy

Engineer fitted the pod point no problem, left without it been powered up as he couldn’t see if we had the gas and water grounded which we already had. Further 3 weeks having to send Photos in for proof along with several emails before connection was complete. I understand the safety aspect with the grounding however if the fitter engineer had looked properly at the grounding we wouldn’t have had all the hassle that followed.

The installation on the day was excellent. Guys turned up on time, were friendly, helpful and finished quickly. Very nice neat job. The process leading up to the installation was poor though. The initial contact from Pod Point didn't come until 5-6 weeks after we got the car [bearing in mind we opted for a pod point installation as part of the car purchase arrangements]. The we were given the initial installation date of 7th July which was incorrect and was amended to 12th July without being told, just noticed it from the"track my driver" option on the installation email. The date had changed, but no-one told us. Then on 11th July a ladder was delivered, when guys arrived the ladder was not the one they needed / wanted, so the installation was cancelled. Apparently no-one from Pod Point could arrange a replacement ladder on the same day with your supplier [Speedy]. Installation was therefore re-arranged for 25th July. So, overall, not the best experience. Which is a shame, as the charger seems to be great !
