The installation on the day was excellent. Guys turned up on time, were friendly, helpful and finished quickly. Very nice neat job. The process leading up to the installation was poor though. The initial contact from Pod Point didn't come until 5-6 weeks after we got the car [bearing in mind we opted for a pod point installation as part of the car purchase arrangements]. The we were given the initial installation date of 7th July which was incorrect and was amended to 12th July without being told, just noticed it from the"track my driver" option on the installation email. The date had changed, but no-one told us. Then on 11th July a ladder was delivered, when guys arrived the ladder was not the one they needed / wanted, so the installation was cancelled. Apparently no-one from Pod Point could arrange a replacement ladder on the same day with your supplier [Speedy]. Installation was therefore re-arranged for 25th July. So, overall, not the best experience. Which is a shame, as the charger seems to be great !

It took me almost 6 months to get this POD Point installed. Quite frustrating to be honest

Really bad experience with the installation. Had to wait for a long time and then installation was cancelled twice on the day as Engineer was sick. The lady at the reception taking the call was extremely helpful when I called to complain and rearranged immediately. We also had issues with the wiring as POd Point would not take the wires over the flat room and we had to arrange for another electrician to come and do that part. Even after sending photos etc of how it has been done and how it looks when the Engineer finally arrived, he said he was not happy with it and went away. We had to then do some more work to reinforce the wiring over the flat roof. When the kit was finally installed, it was done seamlessly though. Overall too much hassle over the entire process.

Installation was OK. One week in, I have a problem, it stopped charging the car and I have now been 30 min in a queue to get attention painfully progressing through the queue.. There was a huge faff to get the installation set up with plenty of things that they could not do.

The initial service was great. Response to my order was very quick and an appointment for installation came the next morning. The installation itself was good and the engineer explained everything. A few days later we received our EV, we managed three charges in two days and then the Pod Point stopped working completely. I now have to use the 3-pin plug charger which takes ages to fully charge my car. No update yet as to when Pod Point will come and fix the issue. It’s a huge amount of money - ~£1000 for a device that was used three times before breaking. I would have expected a much quicker response to the issue and certainly feel disappointed now.

Pre-installation experience was terrible with lots of calls required. Only just required electrical installation certificate 5 months after installation. Over pretty poor. Continuously calling and emailing enquiries about a new installation after my pod point had been installed and I eventually called and asked them to specifically update their records that I had a point installed. Would only engage once you have paid in full for the installation. Overall poor

Unfortunately we have had problems with the Podpoint - unable to take charging lead out of the unit. Our engineer was great and has tried to resolve the issue, coming back the next. I’m not yet convinced the problem had been resolved

I am very disappointed with my experience with Podpoint. After the initial sale, where I paid £900, it was a shambles. I uploaded photos as requested for installation. My electrician had carried out the work required pre-installation. There was a lack of understanding between the juniors handling the information your end, and what an electrician was explaining to them. Finally an installation date was booked in, but no-one turned up on the day and I had to phone to ask why not - I wasn't notified. At this point I already had the new car. I was offered another date a week later but only when I asked to talk to someone senior in the company was I offered the following day. The installation sub-contractor was very good. The process until installation was stressful, time-consuming, poorly communicated and unsatisfactory.

The installation and the guy that came was great but the customer service was awful. I had to arrange to run the cable myself the list of pre-installation questions and photos required were way too complex and i had 5 failed deliveries for the cable before it arrived.

Was advised by scheduling that I needed that Pod point were unable to install until I got an Electrician to make 4 or more changes to my Current electrical system. Took me best part of half a day to get through to a person at pod point.Rhiannon Little was very helpful and agreed that a Charger could be installed okay and arranged for the installation to take place 3 days later

Installation and Engineer excellent. Everything else since, poor. Very slow to answer the phone, then too busy to help. 3 days to respond. Previous reviews I read are about right, good product ( excellent engineer(subcontractor)), poor podpoint service.

Pod point may be the big player in the market which means customer service is poor. Customers are required to purchase product in advance without any security the product is suitable. Telephone service is very poor if you need to speak to some - you go around in a continuous loop. Very frustrating. Pod point appear the prioritise calls based on the number you dial from. Pod point also take over a week to answer emails which then requires a phone call for you to chase.

We purchased a complete install of a pod point charger for our Mini, via Mini; initially the communication was good and things were moving on smoothly; until we were told that we’d have to pay extra for cabling and then arrange the installation of the cable separately, because we didn’t want the cable run outside the house into the garage, but through the loft space, which was a shorter distance than going along the wall outside, and would’ve involved drilling holes through to outside. I asked for a rebate for the extra cost involved and was told no, due to the fact they offered an installation but refused it. None of the discussion as order or until this came up, was about the fact we would have to have it installed this way or we’d be liable for more money. I think this is completely unacceptable.

Pre installation- Poor communication in advance short notice scheduling limited visibility of any planning process. Installation good although second visit required to complete earthing.

Particularly challenging experience due to no pre-installation survey; emails and having to send photos is a restrictive way for customers to understand what is required. The process was drawn out and involved many moving goal posts of what we needed to do, but no help was provided just complicated instructions!
