The installation itself was very good – the engineer was friendly and professional, and it was a neat and tidy job. Booking the installation was a very different experience and very disappointing. It was originally scheduled for 6 September 2022, meaning I had to reschedule a business meeting to be at home. When I phoned Pod Point in the early afternoon to enquire where the engineer was, the person who had sent me the booking information couldn’t be located. However, the colleague I spoke to assured me that the charger would be installed that day. I called again late afternoon and was informed that installation was in fact scheduled for 8 September. The Pod Point person I spoke to was very apologetic about the mix up, but the experience did not inspire confidence in the company.

We were impressed with the installation. The engineer completed the work really neatly. Unfortunately the charger stopped working during the second attempted charge. We contacted PodPoint and an appointment was made for another engineer to visit. This visit rectified the problem but the delay and period of time that we couldn’t use it was frustating.

Communication was poor. The form regarding our looped supply was incorrectly filled in by pod point staff. This caused a lot of confusion with us and our supplier. A fitting was booked before this was resolved. My appointment cancellation was not passed on internally. We were told by that everything for the loop was sorted and we’re promised the documentation would be sent to us to confirm, this never happened. In the end we relied on Northern Power to tell us. The engineer who completed the fitting was excellent. Helped us decide where to site, explained the full process, was really friendly and professional and gave clear instructions on use before he left.

The installation engineer was excellent. The run up was poor, including an appointment where no one showed up, a rearranged appointment that then disappeared to be replaced by another appointment the following week, when I had already said I would be away. The taking and uploading of photos, then more photos was very tedious. A site visit (at an extra cost) would have been so much better

Struggled with contacting agents and Pod Point seem to require way too much information to book an installation (prepare for uploading photos, plans etc) through a failry poor interface (size limits on photos causes issues and you only really know the limits once you try and upload. However, once installers arrive, great service, on time, very tidy and completed all works in line with specifications.

The man that fitted the charger was brilliant and gave lots of information and made it work for our property. The lead up was apalling as no one at pod point takes into account bespoke work, the look of it in your property (the man fitting it had to address the concerns as the call centre were unable to). We were not told that a lock is availab;e for the charger and we would really like one! it was just really poor, lack of information and detail and little care from the call centre of how the groundworks need to feed into the final job. Very concerned about how th epod point service is going to work whikst we have this charger.

The actual installation by your sub contractor was very good but the administration up to that point was dreadful. Issues included: Very poor communication from the project manager and little ownership of anything Email addresses given that come back as no longer active Payment processing errors that meant two payments taken and getting a refund required multiple calls and emails Endless photos sent and a call initially but then none of this provided to the pre installation survey guy A time window for installation of 11-4pm given but the engineer messaged to say he was coming at 9. A sub contractor called in to come later Helpful people on the phone but they need the project management team to do their job

An efficient EV charger installation company with no after-sales service. The charger was installed quickly and effectively but the main power switch is sited inconveniently and the clearing up after was minimal. I have not been given a receipt or warranty document and my email enquiring about this has not been answered.

My PodPoint charges at 2kwh rate when it supposed to be 7kwh.

Very poor communication at the ordering and booking stage. Delayed email communications and mismatched information about booking the slots. Also, a discrepancy in the assessment of the feasibility of installation in the selected position was very confusing. The installation process itself was swift and well explained by Saf on the day, but there was a disappointment as he completely disagreed with the initial assessment given by the company.

As requested a site survey was completed and sent to you and a day was arranged for the installation, when your installer came to our property we were told the installation could not be completed due to the incorrect RCB being present it took a further 2 visits for the installation to be completed the operative who came on the 3rd visit was very helpfull

Only asked to have the WiFi password for the Solo 3 on the day. No notification before. Difficult to connect to the unit via WiFi. There is a problem with confirmation emails being sent when trying to register the unit on the app. Very little information from the company about securing the device or the cable. Only time will tell whether this is value for money or not.

Initial confusion over whether we needed earth bonding on water pipes when the main in pipe was plastic spoiled the experience and will cost us about £200 or so for an electrician's time. The fitter on the day, Lloyd I think, was excellent and explained it all very well.

Concerned that PodPoint took all the money up front and no survey offered until detailed information supplied. Online form had inadequate upload capacity for the number of photos and videos requested. Lack of clarity on alternative options. Installation in the end went well. Expensive.

The installation on site was excellent, however to get the appointment booked and confirmation of the date was a challenge.
