The engineer who installed my new home chargepoint was excellent. Couldn't fault him. However, I am still registered at my previous residence on my app and your call center are impossible to contact. So essentially my app is redundant.

Scheduling and installation prompt and efficient. Pre-installation survey etc and experience of having to pay £1000 up front with no personal contact, very poor. However had we not paid up front we would have given up on the pre-installation survey and gone elsewhere!

The guy that came to fit the pod point was not from the uk, he was quite difficult to understand and did not have any manners, he couldn’t explain anything to me he said to read the instruction booklet with any questions I had.

Installation was good, no problems. App is the problem. Cannot link my charger to the App? Tried everything. Contacted Pod Point............ still waiting for contact from them!!

The initial ordering experience was very poor. There was zero alignment between Pod Point and Audi and although I ordered the car 6 months previously the original order from Pod Point expires after 3 months (with Pod Point) so PP where saying Audi needed to raise a new order and Audi were saying the already arranged an order. Neither Audi or PP would talk to each other and I wasted 5 days and not getting my car because of the situation. In the end I was nearly going to cancel the car when a guy in PP (with a lot of common sense) said he could see the original order so he processed it. The only 5* service I received was from the engineer who fitted the unit who was first class.

The ordering processes was pretty straight forward. There was a complication regarding the install as I didn't want the cable run around the property but hidden through the loft space. I therefore had to arrange my own electrician to carry out the install of the cable at my own expense which took him 30 minutes to do. A simple job which should be an option with Pod Point even if it came with an additional charge. The pod install itself was quick and easy and the engineer arrived on-time with a text 1 hour before his arrival. Eddy was very friendly and informative.

overall sadly dissappointed as let down by garage in communications before as asked 2 weeks before collecting car that needed the home charging-only to find the day before only that registered with Pod Point. Then details of photographs said we needed an electrician out -but later stated not needed. In stallation good but had to pay extra hour to do which was ? Then charger would not work that eveing and spent hours with installer and tech people trying to get to work-only to find out that he needed to initialise his end to start charging!! next evening trouble again-but only as charging would only start at 12am and that is not enough as I leave 5.30am and not fully charged then. Tried to contact again and email and no response. I want it to charge when i plug in not when Pod Point want to charge!!!

The whole process with generally good and have my PodPoint installed. The only had two issues. The customer service team seem overloaded with work and are sometimes a little slow at following up calls. I had to ring in multiple occasions to get a response. But this possibly isn’t their fault perhaps they need more staff! The Customer service team were helpful with my enquiries The major issue I had was with the installer. He installed the unit and works well so no gripes there. However, the installer emptied his van into my rubbish bin on the day of collection and the refuse collectors I found after he left didn’t take it due to cardboard boxes, food items to name a few items in my bin. I spent 15 mins sifting through his rubbish into the right containers! I now have a full bin an no where to put my rubbish for two weeks! Make sure they take their rubbish with them if you do decide to use them! Overall I am happy with my installation as I have a charging point connected to my house and would recommend them as their price is competitive.

Planning the installation was a pretty drawn out process and I found the level of information required pre-install a bit overwhelming. The engineer on the day was excellent and the actual installation was hassle free. Definitely worthwhile of you are eligible for grants.

Everything was great up to and including the installation but the pod point didn’t work. As installation was on a Friday, I was all weekend unable to use it as the out of hours contact was useless.

The installer, Danny , has been excellent and has made the experience from an instalation point of view great. However the requirements for the changes to rcd's ect and the amount of forms to fill with details was very onourous.

In my opinion it is unacceptable to expect the customer to carry out an initial survey. In my case a great deal of time was wasted in submitting information, both written and photographic, that was not necessary and not used by the installer. I submitted evidence of off street parking and the electricity supply to my property was bonded and that was enough to carry out an installation. In relation to question 1 below I was not told I would have to carry out my own survey.

It was very good in terms of installation but deeply frustrating (despite emails & talking to good people at pod point) in getting to that point. Why? Because taking lots of pictures as a non expert & virtual/phone conversations - the responses to emails took more than 24 hours - is not as good as having an expert round to discuss & agree what was best. Speaking personally I would have been prepared to pay a bit more for that.

It’s 3 stars because the fitting was very quick but it doesn’t connect to my app and I’ve had no response, parted 900 and only want it to connect to the app and keeps flashing red

The only good bit is the installer who took real pride in his work and did a top job. Every other part of pod point is a mess.

Generally went well - installation appointment cancelled because installer had COVID, which is understandable, but I wasn't informed of that until the next day which was inconvenient. The questions below don't make sense by the way.

The charger was installed but not to the route asked for. The charger is also not connecting to my wifi, I have sent an email to customer service but received a response to date.

First installer did not turn up and no call to explain why, I had to call pod point to enquire, however an installer did come on the following Monday and wow how professional was he.
