Please be aware that pod point will take your money upfront and then send you forms to fill in and take your own photos as the survey. At no point do pod point do any work. The installation, subcontracted out, was good.

Bad communication and very tricky to get on the phone. Never showed up to install and had to wait a month for the next date. Overall took 3 months to get installed.

First, let me say the two fitters I had was spot on and I had absolutely no issues with either of them who both kept me informed and explained what they were doing. However, the rest of my experience was poor both in communication and delivery. I sent all the pictures (three times) of my house and where the connection would be required. On the first occasion, the fitter arrived and explained he had been booked out on a second job and wouldn't have time to finish it I explained that I had sent you all my details and he said well he won't have time to finish. I then had to go through the rigmarole of trying to re-book your fitters which was appaling, I was then told I had to pay an additional fee of over £150. When your second fitter came he believed he was there for a full install, in fact, he had the job completed in no time, all very poor from your side

Pre installation was very difficult and as a customer, I felt isolated and on my own as I was unable o speak to anybody about the requirements for the order to progress. Installation was great and a much better experience

Very underwhelming

Installation is not at the level I would expect from a national company. Wire left hanging loose, shoddy pinning of wire to walls, ducting poorly fitted and not all installed or capped/connected at end, marks left on ceiling, alarm sensor not reinstalled after being removed to make job easier, fitter turned up had forgotten stuff, left a total mess brushed dust into corner (including a wedding invite he had knocked of fridge) left prompt at 1800 like he had somewhere more important to be saying he would be back to finish and has not turned up to do so. Lock that was ordered at initial purchase not delivered or installed. Overall, I'm not impressed with fitting. Preinstalation page does not provide enough space for all the pictures that would assist planning, I ended up having to crop all the pictures, losing the details that would assist in the planning process.

The documentation was a nightmare to complete and was quiet stressful

Not that good ,When you consider I did all the prep work myself (Measuring ,answering all questions Taking picture and submitting everything, which was acceptable,it was becoming very tedious when i had to repeat the process over and over again even when you transferred it to the installation people ,fortunately they new what they were doing

I think podpoint overall has a a very poor customer communication I pretty much had to do most of the preparation myself in regards organise northern power install cable The pod point sub contractor engineer was excellent even though he turned up a day early but that wasn't his fault again it was Pod point communication Overall podpoint need to communicate with the customer more

The engineer who installed the charger was brilliant. However, at no point I was explained or advised to include a safty key to my charger. Adding a safety key layer mean significant increase in the cost. Now the charger is open to unauthorised use , specially when we are on Holiday.

Very poor how you don’t come and do on site assessment long after covid restrictions eased, relying on photos and videos and then days i between replies from submitting them…. Whole process to instal from start took 4month!!

It was a 4 month wait and then I was cancelled twice. There needs to be a far greater comms with the car manufacturer and the customer to improve the experience.

Took 3 months from ordering to installation with 100% of payment taken at point of ordering. Survey and Installation required chasing and finally installer mis-installed the pod-point despite having done the survey. Unfortunately he then had to re-install in line with original request which was clearly creating alot of stress for him.

Overall I do feel disappointed with pod point especially as we had great feedback from VW. Today we lost all power to our house which resulted in Scottish and Southern engineers energy coming out. Both engineers were shocked at the way the point point had been connected to my house, the main live connection had not been fitted securely/tightly in place to the mains switch which resulted in the cable slipping out of its position and cutting off our power (not great when you work from home). There was also mentioning of the wrong cable being used to an external box and untidy loose junction boxes. In their words altogether a very shoddy job that should be mentioned. To be fair to the young man that visited seemed decent and capable. I get the feeling he was on a short time frame for each installation & very much feeling the pressure of needing to get onto his next job. Unfortunately this resulted my installation being rather rushed with important corners being cut.

Difficult to get hold of anyone to speak to and the company seems shambolic. Unit ordered in November 2021 and an instal date set for December 2021. Engineer turned up in November, he seemed disorganised and everything was an issue (new-build house with appropriate 7kW wiring and fuse installed by builder in the garage, so I would have thought it would be straightforward?). The invoice and installation certificate never arrived, despite several calls and emails to Pod Point. Eventually started getting messages from them requesting that I arrange installation or I'd miss OZEV grant! Eventually, a second engineer arrived in March 2022 to 'complete' insallation. Installation certificate eventually arrived which allows me to claim EST grant (in Scotland). Thankfully EST agreed to extend the deadline for the grant due to Pod Point's delays.

Problems all the way! The potential problems weren’t explained in the early stages.

Lots of issues with the route the cable needed to take . It would have been so much easier if you could talk to your customers In the end a simple route from the mains without the need to connect to the existing consumer unit was used and was simple

Great communication until after the installation. Good product and looks good but the cabling and damage to my property is underwhelming. Damaged plasterboard and clear silicone everywhere. Do the decent thing pod point and include containment for the cable in your install. 3m of conduit won’t do anyone any favours!! And then get someone to email me back!

they kept coming back with more work required. having put in a new cable and fuse to the garage they then tell me that a data cable is required which i could have fitted at the same time at the cable this cost me an extra £85.00 in labour which could have been saved.
