Original installation did not include the lock, which we had paid extra for. It took weeks to schedule a maintenance appointment to have this rectified. Then that appointment was rescheduled twice more before we finally got it done. Speaking to Pod Point on the phone was very easy prior to payment, but as soon as they had our money they suddenly become much harder to get hold of.

Pod Point themselves were barely satisfactory. They outsourced the installation to Pure EV who were incompetent, did a terrible-looking job, failed to complete the installation and then washed their hands of it. I was passed back to Pod Point who sounded concerned but only after a week of telephone calls and contact with management (which I had to fight for), was the issue resolved and installation completed. Alex, in the operations team swiftly resolved the problems, but it was difficult to get to speak to him.,

The pod was installed in a reasonable time frame, but during installation my water mains was damaged and flooded my house, 1 month later is has yet to be repaird.

Took nearly 4 months from order to have our Pod Point installed. Ours wasn't what Pod Point class as a standard installation - I live in a 1930s semi-detached!! Had to get our own electrician to carry out the wiring for Pod Point.

Good product, well installed - as long as you can get that far. I am happy with the finished product but the Domestic Junior Project Manager's (DJPM) lack of expertise led to me completing civil work that was actually not necessary; wasting time, money and effort. I now have a conduit pipe that only serves as a slug tunnel as it was never required! When I spoke to Jesus in the Ops team he identified that a fuse saver cable was not required, however the DJPM rejected this and insisted on the fuse saver. I paid for the conduit to be dug under my path and laid the cable as installation would not go ahead otherwise. Low and behold, come installation it was not needed. The level of information requestd is very thorough and I accurately conveyed all information necessary, which the Ops team clearly understood, so there is absolutely no excuse for this to happen. Sadly, all dealing with the DJPM felt obstructive but there you go. The pre-installation process needs to be drastically improved. Impossible to speak directly to the DJPM and emails take a week to be answered.

The Good first: The Installation was excellent; quick and really professional staff. Now the Product & App: I’ve had the charging station for well over a month now, and have yet to have it charge properly on schedule. Since, like most people, the charging cost at night is significantly less, being able to schedule it at night is really important. However, whenever we use this “function”, it only charges at 3.5KW and not the 7KW we paid extra for. I have chased and chased PodPoint support, and all I get is a stock reply "The issue you are experiencing is currently being looked at by our Hardware team, who are investigating the issue and will provide a resolution.” Since I bought the car with Audi, and they are partnered with PodPoint, I assumed this would be a good product. I recommend you go elsewhere for your charging solution.

Overall on the lead-in install it took circa 8 weeks following paying upfront when I was told it would be 2-4 week max.

Absolutely awful organisation and communication, felt like you the customer should do all the work whilst they rake in the profits. After formal complaint it was dealt with by phone quickly. The actual installer was great

The booking of the installation and the installation itself was excellent. However I have emailed several times now to request a copy of the paid invoice since the install to complete my EST application. I was sent a quotation twice and now no-one is even bothering to reply.

the actaul Pod Point is excellent and so was the installation. BUT the dealings with booking the installation day were poor and never finally confirmed. We just hoped the (very nice) man would turn up and he did. We have since tried to get thwe app for charging onto our phones -simply impossible because the system does not recognize our email address or sign in. It refuses our log in, says it will send us a link to change the login - BUT NEVER DOES - we give up... Any contact to help us would be VERY welcome.

Resceduled by 3 weeks. The instaler very rude to the point he was nearly asked to leave. Wasn't shown how to use the pod point and only left a very small booklet.

Ordering was a nightmare, honeslty, the forms are so convaluted and gaining access to actually speak to someone was impossible. You're left in a situation where you just end up guessing on the forms and hoping for the best. Installation was great though, just a shame about everything else.

Intaller was not really interested , no advice as to where to put it , we now have a lead that is to short we always have to put the car in the garage to charge. They left a mess and we still are finding cable ends scateered around the gararge. he left leaveing boxes etc for us to dispose of

Booking the installation was very stressful and prolonged. It was hard to communicate with the person who authorised the installation. The bonding was done by our electrician , then there was a long delay before installation. Luckily there was a cancellation so that reduced the time by a couple of weeks. It took about 6 weeks before we had the pod. The actual installation was great- he was professional and polite.

A rather frustrating experience with confused and incorrect requirements about what was required to be completed prior to installation which resulted in additional costs that were NOT required. It took 3 unsuccessful visits by a contract installation engineer who ill-advised various additional requirements (with costs) to the main fuse board which were subsequently not required. The 4th attempt at installation by a Pod Point company engineer was successful. However, the whole experience was frustrating and did not reflect well on the company. I am still awaiting a refund of the additional costs incurred for work that was not required.

The process of ordering was good. However once the installation was approved getting the installation done was poor. It took weeks to get an installation time and date. This appointment was then changed by Podpoint the night before. On the day of installation the engineer did half of the installation then said he had run out of time. It then took weeks to get the installation finished. Finally I had to chase the company to get an installation certificate.
