The documentation was a nightmare to complete and was quiet stressful

Not that good ,When you consider I did all the prep work myself (Measuring ,answering all questions Taking picture and submitting everything, which was acceptable,it was becoming very tedious when i had to repeat the process over and over again even when you transferred it to the installation people ,fortunately they new what they were doing

I think podpoint overall has a a very poor customer communication I pretty much had to do most of the preparation myself in regards organise northern power install cable The pod point sub contractor engineer was excellent even though he turned up a day early but that wasn't his fault again it was Pod point communication Overall podpoint need to communicate with the customer more

The engineer who installed the charger was brilliant. However, at no point I was explained or advised to include a safty key to my charger. Adding a safety key layer mean significant increase in the cost. Now the charger is open to unauthorised use , specially when we are on Holiday.

Very poor how you don’t come and do on site assessment long after covid restrictions eased, relying on photos and videos and then days i between replies from submitting them…. Whole process to instal from start took 4month!!

It was a 4 month wait and then I was cancelled twice. There needs to be a far greater comms with the car manufacturer and the customer to improve the experience.

Took 3 months from ordering to installation with 100% of payment taken at point of ordering. Survey and Installation required chasing and finally installer mis-installed the pod-point despite having done the survey. Unfortunately he then had to re-install in line with original request which was clearly creating alot of stress for him.

Not quite what I had expected. I was asked to clear the cupboard where the fuse box was - as shown in the plans and photo's I sent through - the installer ended up fixing the fuse box to my outside wall not what I wanted really but he's already fitted it by the time I noticed. He then wanted to attach the cable to the outside of the house - again not what I wanted or which was shown on the plan I sent in - after some discussion I managed to get it fitted to the inside of the garage.

Overall I do feel disappointed with pod point especially as we had great feedback from VW. Today we lost all power to our house which resulted in Scottish and Southern engineers energy coming out. Both engineers were shocked at the way the point point had been connected to my house, the main live connection had not been fitted securely/tightly in place to the mains switch which resulted in the cable slipping out of its position and cutting off our power (not great when you work from home). There was also mentioning of the wrong cable being used to an external box and untidy loose junction boxes. In their words altogether a very shoddy job that should be mentioned. To be fair to the young man that visited seemed decent and capable. I get the feeling he was on a short time frame for each installation & very much feeling the pressure of needing to get onto his next job. Unfortunately this resulted my installation being rather rushed with important corners being cut.

Difficult to get hold of anyone to speak to and the company seems shambolic. Unit ordered in November 2021 and an instal date set for December 2021. Engineer turned up in November, he seemed disorganised and everything was an issue (new-build house with appropriate 7kW wiring and fuse installed by builder in the garage, so I would have thought it would be straightforward?). The invoice and installation certificate never arrived, despite several calls and emails to Pod Point. Eventually started getting messages from them requesting that I arrange installation or I'd miss OZEV grant! Eventually, a second engineer arrived in March 2022 to 'complete' insallation. Installation certificate eventually arrived which allows me to claim EST grant (in Scotland). Thankfully EST agreed to extend the deadline for the grant due to Pod Point's delays.

Problems all the way! The potential problems weren’t explained in the early stages.

Lots of issues with the route the cable needed to take . It would have been so much easier if you could talk to your customers In the end a simple route from the mains without the need to connect to the existing consumer unit was used and was simple

Great communication until after the installation. Good product and looks good but the cabling and damage to my property is underwhelming. Damaged plasterboard and clear silicone everywhere. Do the decent thing pod point and include containment for the cable in your install. 3m of conduit won’t do anyone any favours!! And then get someone to email me back!

they kept coming back with more work required. having put in a new cable and fuse to the garage they then tell me that a data cable is required which i could have fitted at the same time at the cable this cost me an extra £85.00 in labour which could have been saved.

Poor communication during contact to arrange fitting and what was required

The first email stated a date /time slot after which it was cancelled and a second date given. After waiting in, the Fitter / installer turned up without the unit. He completed the cable running from where it was due to be fitted and left it, waiting for it to be connected on the next visit, hinted at the next day. No next day visit. I then contacted Pod Point and secured a further date which was then changed to the pm slot (no notification other than me making contact). Failed to turn up. Eventually, after me again, contacting Pod Point customer Services, a new date and, this time, success. Disappointing to say the least

The whole experience of trying to use the form-based remote survey system was extremely frustrating. The system either failed because the web page was having issues or the photos required exceeded the size limit imposed. We had to get our car supplier involved in the process on more than one occasion and eventually had to send the required photos as email attachments to several emails. Responses to our emails were very late and sporadic and trying to get through on the telephone was also difficult. Whilst part of this can be put down to Covid related constraints other company issues must be at fault here. Once these hurdles had been overcome the actual installation was a breeze and the electrician very competent and helpful.

Awful customer service trying to get installation, rude and unhelpful from a sales point. Very strung out to get everything approved. Cannot fault installation, however, quick and easy on the day.

I was asked to accept an earlier installation date. I was pleased to do this but nobody turned up. The installers turned up 2 days later and the installation was okay. But the room in the junction box for the tails was very limited and I feel the installers should have replaced the junction box with a larger one (it's not as if these boxes are expensive). The holder for the charger flying lead was screwed to the wall upside down. I had ordered a box with a lockable lid. But the engineers turned up with a box with a flying lead. I was happy to accept this but I then had to arrange for a refund for the £40 lock I had ordered. This did go through successfully. Even with no load on my house the box only seems capable of delivering 2kw to my brand new corse -e. So all in all not the greatest experience.
