I used to use Plane Parking but switched to Premiair. Today, a 12 hour park for friday is £24. Premiair is £5. Their buses are just as frequent but as the parking is smaller, you don't have to get driven round the whole parking area until your stop! Buses are nicer - leather seats and free wifi, easier to get to also - just as you come off the motorway rather than having to drive to the back of the airport. I always use Premiair now!

Booking was easy and quick as was the parking and transfer to the terminal. However there are no signs in the terminal to guide you back to the coach stance. You only see the signs once out of the terminal and guessing which way to go. The worst part of the service happened on leaving. The automatic barrier would not open unless we paid an additional fee of £250. This was sorted out when we contacted the office but was concerning at the time. Hence the "poor" rating.

Barrier wouldn't open on exit. Had to ring buzzer several times before answer. Was asked for code which was on an e-mail and not readily available. Caused stress as cars having to wait behind me. Eventually was allowed to exit.

Had strong suspicions that it would not be as simple as it seemed and it wasn't. Traffic system is hopelessly complicated and was a second away from entering area of parking that charged huge fees. Pretty sure many people have probably made that mistake. As it was, parked in correct area but system didn't work and on leaving they tried to charge me £128. Was resolved fairly quickly as I was lucky enough to have 5% left in my phone battery and thus could retrieve the receipt from email but could easily have become a massive problem. System needs tightened up and people need to be advised on where they can and can't go. Seems remarkably convenient that it is so easy to make the wrong turn and end up owing the airport a fortune.

was not in walking distance to airport, had to get a bus, which it said was every ten minutes, one was broken down no replacement, 50 people waiting and one bus arrives , would not use again

Lucky it was not raining. The time it takes to use the bus - waiting, stops - waiting to get into a stopping place then the walk from the stop to the airport and all of this in return, you would be as well to walk if travelling light. Machine ticket did not work like it is supposed to. Would not let me out saying their was a charge when I paid on line, I had to use the call button. This is fine, unless 4 cars are getting impatient behind you. I'll only use this parking as a last resort.

I arrived at the terminal parking at 0755 knowing I had pre booked my parking and therefore I would not require extra time before my flight. I found that the entire "surface" parking lot was full and in desperation used the pre-printed ticket to gain access to the multi storey parking where there was plenty of room. On return from travelling I put the ticket into the barrier exit to find that I owed £125 and nearly had a heart attack! Very stressed I pressed the attendant call button and the person was very helpful and said although I shouldn't have used the multi storey he would sort the problem without my incurring any additional charges. Although the parking looked good value for money when booking on the internet, this experience makes it more likely I would book with one of the airport parking operators where a space is reserved for my car and there are no nasty surprises.

We were appalled at the lack of directions we were all over the place asked various people in nearby businesses for directions they had never heard of this company. We eventually parked at airport were not sure that we were in the right place but had to leave the car anyway as we found ourselves running out of time for check in. We got a ticket from machine in car park not knowing if this was from Plane Parking. On our return from holiday in the early hours of the morning we entered our ticket at the exit barrier only to be presented with a total of £350 you can imagine how we felt at 4am in the morning. On pressing assistance button and having to look and confrim documentation the barrier was lifted at no cost. Think its a good price for parking but not worth the stress.

Good basic price at £3.99 for offsite parking and easy to use website. Took upgrade to terminal surface parking, but had a problem trying to leave the car park. Despite pre-paying £16.98, the machine wanted to charge me £5.90 to leave. I had to go to attendant to get problem fixed. It also made me wonder if I could've paid £5.90 by just turning up and taking a ticket rather than paying in advance to Plane Parking.

on leaving the car park I put my ticket into the machine and the display said I needed to pay £120. I pushed the buzzer to talk to a staff member and he asked me for a reference number. I said I didn't have one and he said it was on my email. when I told him I didn't have the email he spoke to me like I was a child saying that in future I should use my common sense and bring the email with me. He then asked for my car Registration Number and said he had me on the system and opened the barrier. It does not say on the email that you should bring it with you and If all he had to do was type in my car registration to verify I had paid in advance, there was no point in asking for reference numbers. I felt the overall experience was poor to say the least.

We booked online, when we entered our booking reference, the gate would not open, had to ring bell, someone then opened the gate. On return was billed £320 when I entered code, rang bell again and explained I had paid upfront. Gate opened, I then made an exiit. 45 minute wait to get out of car park due to a bottleneck. Doubtful if I use your parking again

Pre booked well before our flight arrived at gate, there was a ticket already in machine that fell out, got one for ourself , came back after holiday put ticket in was asked to pay again (£37 ?) Waited then spoke to someone on intercom, thankfully had a printed copy of my on line booking order number, let me out eventually.

Drainage at Edinburgh Long Stay is virtually non existent, we were dropped off at a bus stance surrounded by 6-9 inches of water to wade through to get to the car. Absolutely sodden journey home with shoes full of water. Who builds these places, do they not realise that it rains in Scotland?

Wasn't very impressed . Because ryanair were late taking off from departure airport and made one of our group check in his hand luggage at plane steps ( not because of his fault etc , just because of lack of space in hand luggage ) This then meant we had to wait for The baggage to come through machine . By the time we got to bis stop and waited for bus , loaded and waited for others we then supposedly ran over our ten minute grace period . Had I realised this when booking that and extra 10 minutes or so would incur a charge then I would have put an extra half an hour on the time . That wasn't my gripe . The problem was when we got to the turnstile barrier to get out we spoke to someone on the other end of the machine who wasn't the best at customer service . Any way beware . Don't cut it too fine with your return time , unless you want to spend hours filling out forms for claims etc

every time I have used plane parking it has included a free upgrade to the on-site parking but every time I have exited, I am told to pay a large sum of money and then I need to call the car park and advise that I have already paid which is frustrating. otherwise its an excellent service.

Web site is easy to use. There is no consistency in pricing. You can book a month before you park and it's good value but a week before and it's hugely expensive. Then you book 2 days before and it's good value again. As an example is can cost less to fly from Edinburgh to London return than it costs to park at Edinburgh. Be sharp or you will be ripped off!
