I have used Edinburgh airport parking and plane parking 3 times in the last few months and every time it has tried to charge us at the ticket barrier and we are then asked our reference number which is inconvenient to find as we are driving in the car and the ticket is in the machine - very frustrating and an unnecessary stress at the end of the holiday

no sign direction ,it was very slow service, it took longer than if l was dropping the car in another car park.

There were no parking spaces when i arrived so i had to park right up against the fence,(not in a parking bay) not what you need when you have a plane to catch.

I've been a big fan of Plane Parking for the last 3 years. I have previously used the "Meet & Greet" service which has been consistently great. This time we used the 'Terminal Surface' parking option. When we got to Edinburgh Airport and followed the Plane Parking instructions to the "designated" parking areas there were no spaces left at all and cars were parked everywhere. We ended up parking outside the designated zones on some cross hatching and were very relieved to find our car had not been towed away. The Number Plate Recognition system at the exit didn't work but the guy on the intercom let us out without too much hassle.

On departure, was asked to pay £545 for parking for two weeks. Obvious there was some mistake, and thanks to person dealing this, he recognised this and allowed us to leave car park barrier without having to pay this. However our experience of this has tarnished the experience and would suggest I wouldn't use this again.

The entry and exit did not reconise our booking , when we arrive pressed intercom and a nice man apologised and said he would sort it we had to take ticker but stressful on return in early hours of morning that it still didn't reconize us and put ticket in and was told to pat £80!, again nice man let us out ........but not a good service

On returning to Edinburgh at 11 pm on 8/10/16 we waited at the stance for 30 minutes with no bus appearing. My wife approached the driver of a 'Long Stay' bus who told us he was going to the Plane Parking Car park. This was not the case and he then suggested we exit the car park and walk along the road to the Plane Parking car park where we eventually retrieved our car at 12.10am Not a pleasant experience. When I left the main terminal surface car park at Edinburgh airport I was asked to pay £145 for 3 days parking even though I had already pre paid. This is alarming. I had to look through my emails on my phone to find the reference number and the parking attendant let me out of the car park. This has happened before and would make me not use you again.

The website boasts buses every five minutes but the truth is that the customer has to walk through into the next door car park to catch the bus

Despite prepaying it's still necessary to speak with attendant as the the number plate is not automatically recognised although the instructions on the booking state this.

We were unable to locate the correct parking area with directions given. The staff were very helpful when we pressed the buzzer at gates for assistance, however the reason I chose this and paid extra was to give us a smooth start to our holiday your parking did not. We had to park in surface parking but no where on the directions did it say this it would have saved a lot of hastle if it did.

Despite car number being recognised on entry, when leaving, barrier did not open and was asked for £185. Obviously on entry number plate was logged to booking, so why did this not happen when exiting?

We parked at 12.30pm, took us ages to find a space in section L2. Had to walk quite a distance to a bus stop, just glad it wasn't raining! Got dropped off at the terminal, again quite a distance away. Coming home at 3.00am, we had the same long walk to the bus stop, had a while to wait for a bus and again got dropped off at a bus stop a good distance from L2. Again, very glad it wasn't raining! And when we put our ticket in to get out the car park, it said we owed £150.00!!!! Thankfully we didn't but we got a scare. All i can say is never again!

I have been parking with Plane parking at edinburgh airport for a good time. Just last week i parked with them again. This time different barrier and different set up. You now have to walk to another part of the main carpark to catch the bus. Spoke to other passengers whilst waiting and they felt the same way. Looks like plane parking are going the way as the rest of the sheep, just charge more money and give less. But there is others you can use.

Arrived at the airport, wasn't 100% sure I was at the right car park so used the intercom, was told this was the correct car park, however they didn't have my booking. After around 30minute hunt for a contact phone number online, I couldn't find one and gave up. Managed to find a shuttle driver in another car park, who gave me his contact details and said to park where I've booked and when I come back if I have any issues to call him and he would let me out the car park. I managed to find an email address while away for plane parking, emailed them and was assured my parking was now sorted and my booking passed on to the airport. Upon my return and arriving at the barrier, the machine said I owed £265! Again on the intercom, no note of my booking. Called the guy who gave me his details and he sorted it out for me. So I could leave the car park. If I didn't have his contact details I would probably still be sat at the barrier awaiting a response to an email as I doubt they reply midnight on a Saturday!! Still haven't manage to find a phone number either! Complete shambles. Wish I had paid more and went direct with the airport. Which I recommend to anyone else.
