Purchased replacement Power sterring pump for a Volvo V70, price was good, delivery efficient, shame the part was faulty and was no use ! Sent back for a full refund, but of course this does not cover the time & labour, now of having to do the job twice !!!

The part I ordered was not delivered to me because the driver was unable to access my lane. He did attempt to leave a message on my answerphone, but I did not receive it until much later when I gained a signal. In the end I had to chase the order and was put in touch with the driver, who had signed for the part himself and had been driving the part around for a week. The issue was that when I contacted Parts Gateway ( who very quickly tracked the driver down) it appeared that the part had been delivered to a neighbour. It took my husband an hour to visit all the neighbours in our rural vicinity. Of course, none had received the parcel. We collected the part from the driver himself. In total, this took a week, during which I have been driving without a wing mirror, I think this is unacceptable service and would be reluctant to use this service again. Hilary Owen

I ordered two different parts for my car from two different companies and both sent me the wrong part ....took over a week to get the part i needed and the second part i ordered was wrong cos it was for the wrong side of the car and it was broken and wasn't fit for purpose , So once again took me over a week to get the part i ordered ...I give them my car details and i asked them first to see if they did have my car part in stock and on the second order i did the same and told them which side of the car i needed the part for and they both got it wrong .....

Everything I've searched for on here I have managed to buy elsewhere for half the price quoted on here. My latest item was a car rear bumper, best quote here was £85 highest price £450 I managed to buy it for £55 delivered. So I can't really write a review, because I never actually bought anything. This site always has a good selection of car parts, but always too expensive, if sellers lowered their prices I'd probably buy off here.

Have no issues with parts gateway their part went very well and numerous quotes were received. I chose one and now very sorry I did. The part supplied was not for the correct model year (the year and model were very clear on the quote). The supplier eventually refunded the original price, but I have been left to pick up the return cost some 25% of the original cost. Will not use Parts Gateway again, and would recommend anyone who does to use with caution.

Whilst parts gateway were quick and easy to use. The supplier was slow and didn't fulfill my order as I would have expected. I paid for a back seat for a vauxhall corsa and expected to receive the whole seat. Not half of one. I would not use parts gateway again.

The fuel tank that was sent to me was the wrong part. When l spoke to nottingham ford about this issue l was told that there was no way it could be as all fuel tanks from 2002 were a standard fit. Even though this tank did not fit my car. I am now stuck with a tank that's not needed with a no returns policy. I will sell it on ebay and not use this company again.

Felt that the small part (side indicator repeater) was overpriced and in poor condition. It was also found to be the wrong part but not worth the hassle of returning.

I found it very hard to get an answer from CWS on the simple question of the colour of the seat they were offering for sale. See trail on web site enquiry for clear evidence of one way traffic. When I finally got an answer, I agreed to buy what they were offering. The request was clearly made for a driver's seat to fit a 1998 Discovery. What CWS sent me was a 1997 version, which I took to my garage who found the seat that CWS had provided was impossible to fit, especially as there was no point on the seat provided to attach a safety belt. I phoned CWS who seemed to imply that it was my fault, but the enquiry clearly states the seat is for a 1998 version. I am returning the seat to CWS as not supplied correctly and I expect a full credit once they have received it.

The whole process is a good idea I think. However, when you put ALL of your car details in you expect the companies that respond to send you an item that ACTUALLY fits your particular car. This did not happen in my case. I was sent a part that did not fit my car, nor would it fit my fiancee's (she just had a newer year). They did ask for a photo of the part on my car, but you shouldn't need to do this as they had all the car information. I then sent the part back in original packaging (which was very good), signed for. But I spent ages trying to get a refund. You would send messages and wait ages for someone to reply back to you. 5 weeks later, because of chasing I got my refund. I may use Partsgateway again, but definitely not use the the company that cocked up (Johnsons Vauxhall Spares).
