“I ordered a bike seat. They told me it was in ‘build’ for a month before I emailed them and they told me they didn’t have it in stock and would get it to me soon. If you didn’t have it in stock for over a month why did you let me order it in the first place. I had to suffer on a broken bike seat for over a month when I could have gotten one next day delivered if they told me it wasn’t in stock. I love the brand but this isn’t acceptable. Bike seat was also not the same colour as online but close enough. ( was light pink online; dark pink in person). Quality of the seat is nice enough.”

“Other than a 2 week+ wait to get my Custom SS if i was writing this review in the first week of ownership I would give my Mango 4 stars. It’s a fun, cheap, nimble bike with good gearing and perfect for my daily commute. Which I actually look forward to riding. HOWEVER... After 1 week of use (yes ONE!!!) the Freewheel started making the occasional clunk, at first I didn’t really think anything of it. The clunk then became more regular, then freewheel failed totally. As I put down pressure the freewheel slipped, the cranks just span (I fell forward onto the bars) and the bike went nowhere (pretty dangerous in Rush hour traffic). Although a bit of back pedalling sorted the problem something was obviously very wrong... After ONE week!!! On closer inspection the Freewheel sounded very rough and I could hear the bearings rattling around inside so I emailed Mango (with a video of the rough sounding freewheel) asking for some advice and assistance. However I never received a reply. I need this bike for work so I had no choice but to buy a new Freewheel from Amazon (next day delivery) and the relevant tool to remove the old one. Removing the old Freewheel and replacing with the new was fairly straight forward (I do have a pretty good level of bike maintenance) but I should not have had to spend more money and time on a bike one week old... Mango need to focus on dealing with their customers issues and less time posting snazzy pictures up on Instagram. Before posting this review I gave them 1 week to reply and even commented on an Instagram post about the issue, Of which there had been no response. Before you purchase please have a think about what you’d do if something goes wrong. It could get costly, especially if you need to use a local bike shop to fix the problem. UPDATED 6th Nov. After leaving this review Mango finally got in contact and offered to refund me the cost of the Parts I had to purchase and sent a T-Shirt as Goodwill gesture. I have therefore amended the original rating from 2 to 3 stars.”

“Great bike but no assembly instructions. One item not despatched with order - no advance warning. Rack that was ordered with it doesn’t fit bike therefore useless. I must make it 100% clear the bike itself is amazing. BUT no instructions on assembly so you need to be confident to assemble (it’s not difficult but some instructions would help) plus it is disappointing that they self accessories that clearly don’t fit the frame of the bike.”

“The bike came without instructions of how to accurately assemble the bike, and there was no clear instruction online, except for a poorly made YouTube video. Furthermore, the included wrench was made of very soft metal, so were the nuts of the wheels, meaning that it frequently slipped, leaving the nuts damaged. What's worst is that the 6-spoke front wheel became untrue after just a week of riding the bike, without any accident. Mango customer service didn't respond to my emails regarding this.”

“I wanted my fixie to look cool, ride well and generally rock. I ordered wheels and cogs from Mango and I am the happiest bunny in the whole of Bunnyville. The magnesium wheels are so good that I use them in town and am now riding fixie on the Bridle Paths and track of the Surrey. Thank you Mango - you're the best”

“Have had my Mango single speed for about a month now and absolutely love it. I’ve only ever owned MTB but want a good everyday bike for back and forth to work, pub, shops etc. This bike has just been great and I always get people asking about it as it White, Pink & Blue. Great bikes, Great Colours, Great Everyday bike”

“Credit where credit is due. I got my bike and had problems straight away, tried to alert customer service about the noises but was left too late before the crank arm fell off, they sent out new parts at a £30 deposit (still waiting for return of said deposit) and new parts still didn't cut the mustard. It wasn't until I seriously complained that I got a response, fortunately I lived approx 40 mins away from the warehouse and a staff member gracefully came and collected the bike and had it returned within 24 hours to my house. And since then I have done some serious riding and no problems. Maybe my initial cranks were just a flook mistake or anomaly. But I am very thankful that all the problems have been sorted out. I wouldn't deter anyone from buying a bike from here as it is a good piece of kit for the price and having a fixie relives most cyclists nightmares of indexing and fixing gears. I hope everyone is lucky and does not run into a problem.”

“Great bike, great value for money! Some great accessories; however, purchased mud guards to go with my custom OGx2 but they won’t fit with my pannier rack. Other than that, I very much like the bike!”

“I bought the original single speed mainly for my commute to work and it is great fun to ride. If, like me, you have a few bikes but all with gears then it is a bit of a strange experience to ride at first but soon you’ll be bombing around town much faster then any car. Recommended (P.S get the gatorskin tyres)”

“Excellent bike, stiff and lightweight so it feels very efficient and the ride is incredibly smooth and silent. The only negative I can think of is that I find the handlebar grips uncomfortable. Overall, great bike!”

“It’s not the bike I asked for as there was a shortage on the colour I wanted and the time line was a couple of days longer than advertised. However there was constant contact and the bike itself is excellent.”
