Tl;Dr I would thoroughly recommend Mango. Great bike, great staff, and great price. In more detail... Customer service: Browsing their website I couldn't see a bike that had all the specs I was after, so I sent them a quick email to see if they had anything in storage that wasn't listed on their website. Within 15 minutes Andrew had emailed me back with a bunch of options. A few more exchanges later and he had put together a full bike spec for me and given me an excellent discount because the frame was an old one they were looking to get rid of. The bike: I bought a Mango Point AR, with hydrologic disk brakes, riser handlebars, and 2x8 full Claris. It is a vast improvement on my previous bike (to be fair, an old Trek MTB) and has cut down my commute by 10 minutes. I'm still in the first week of using it so it's still settling in - some gear changes are a bit clunky and I'm getting used to how sharp the brakes are - but it already feels better than other bikes that I've ridden for years. I do miss the suspension my previous bike had as I now feel all the potholes in the road, but that's the trade off for a quicker bike. Price: £400 for the whole thing. Bargain in my opinion (frame is last year's model). Delivery: From placing the order to receiving the bike took 6 working days. I've got no complaints - it's exactly what they say on their website. Bike assembly: It comes flat packed (obviously) and so some assembly is required. This was my first bike I had put together from scratch so it did not take me the 15 minutes claimed on the website. It was nearer 2 hours, though I've no doubt that someone who knew what they were doing could do it in 15. Without proper tools and experience, I found it difficult to get the disc brakes to line up cleanly with the wheels. I also found the mudguards weren't the best - the front one doesn't mount cleanly to the fork so I've ended just using a cable tie, and the rear one feels like it needs an extra mount point below the saddle to stop it from shaking. Overall though this annoyance does not detract from the bike, and a fix is totally within my reach if I simply drill an extra hole into the guards. Returns & refunds: No idea, not done either. Overall pros: - Frame - Andrew - Price Cons: - Bike assembly (due to my inexperience) - Mud guards (fixable with some patience)

Outstanding! From my original enquiry, bike set up (I was even asked what set up for my brakes given i'm riding in Amsterdam to make sure she's perfect) through to delivery, the team at Mango were exceptional. Thanks again Mango Jennifer

Ordered this wheel and it arrived in a box so comprehensively mislabelled (picture, large printed label, hand-ticked check boxes etc.) I assumed they had sent the wrong one. Turns out they just ship them in the wrong boxes and don't remove any of the labels and packaging checklists. Really poor customer service too, ignored several emails for weeks. Wouldn't buy from them again. Wheel seems okay though.

Hi Daniel Sorry about the confusion. We did reply to your emails but unfortunately didn't realise you hadn't opened the box for a while. We're proud that we reuse boxes and don't waste resource relabelling. It's how we've worked for a few years and out of the hundreds of wheels sold and dispatched this has been the very first issue. Glad you like the wheel, sorry you feel let down by the packaging. Mango Bikes

Point Blank - Primato (Candy red, with silver highlights) Honestly, I've bought from Mango before, I did it again, and if I wasn't a broke university student I'd buy another. For the price, these bikes are brilliant. They arrive packaged well, the quality of the bike is amazing, and it's incredibly easy to find information regarding upgrades. The customisation of the bike is a major plus as well, the colour is of course a personal choice that many other companies don't offer, and having the option to choose your bar type instead of being given a standard option is brilliant. I've been riding my (new) second mango bike for a week and it does not disappoint. It's been amazing to finally be able to cycle again after moving from my home and this is by far the best choice for me. It's certainly a bike I'd recommend to any individual who I could convince to listen to me. Downsides. Not many, but some that should be considered. The bar ends will break, almost immediately, any small crash, bump or drop will results in them shattering. The wheels are fairly heavy, and although I am a fan of how they look, the weight will make a new cyclist think this is a hard bike to accelerate with. Upsides. Too many to accurately show, but here we go. The bike is incredibly customisable and friendly to those who want to carve out a look for themselves. Nearly everything can be replaced without the need for specialised tools, and I have already swapped out the handlebars to learn some cool fixie gear tricks (like falling over after failing to unclip (haha ow)). It's fairly easy to use the flip flop hub and makes for some fast riding. The bike is incredibly responsive, making it easy to take corners and navigate potholes, bad roads in general, people, tourists, and etc. I have not identified any parts yet which have been cheaped out on. Customer service was absolutely brilliant, I had a good 28 email chain with them detailing everything I wanted (colours/highlights/tyres) and they made it possible. If there is a specific bike you want, JUST ASK THEM. Andrew (The person I talked to) is an absolute star helping me make this bike a reality and if you have the pleasure to talk to him, you'll be just as happy as I was. I will continue to buy from Mango for many years to come if they make bikes to this standard :)

A very comprehensive review, appreciate you taking the time to leave it. Superb bike as well, happy cycling! Thanks Mango Bikes

Its a really really nice bike, very fast and light. Best one I've had I think. My only critisisms are 1) there were no instructions on how to put the bike together, 2) when trying to put the front wheel on it didn't fit over the brakes (i had to deflate the tire to fit it on), 3) the chain slipped on the gears a few times when riding (might need a bit of adjustment) Great black friday discount!

Great customer service from Mango as the bike delivery was delayed and Mango helped to sort it out. As for the bike, my son says it is brilliant, loves the design and it goes very well.

The build quality is really good and easy to assemble. The colours are great. The pedals are plastic which is the only let down, they don’t see particularly hard wearing. On the whole, a great value bike that’s fun to ride.

My Mango bike was very easy to set up and has been very reliable since riding it through London. Since switching the back wheel to a fixed gear I've been even happier :)

I bought the OG X2 drop just over a year ago to commute in London and it's still running wonderfully, even after taking a few hits! If you ride hard I would upgrade the stock wheels - they only lasted me about 6 months before buckling. Great customer service too, replaced my faulty pedals without hesitation.

Ordered my bike and accessories end of December, shipping and delivery was quick and easy. Bike assembly was straight forward even if the saddle post was very tight to fit. However, the mud guards were much more difficult. There was no instructions on how to be able to fit them and wasn’t until I called customer services that I found out both the front and the back brakes had to be removed from the bike to be then strew the mud guards into place which was a fiddly task. They have videos on YouTube of how to assemble the bike so one for mud guards would be very beneficial. They also do not tell you that the rear guard has to be cable tied to bike frame to stop it rubbing on your rear wheel which isn’t ideal and personally I think it makes it look like a bodge job. Not only was there this inconvenience, but the plug that goes in the end of the handle bars was damaged and fell straight out when I took it out the box. I contacted customer services who said they would post it, along with the bike cleaner I ordered that I didn’t receive. It’s now the 8th January, so 2 months later, and I still haven’t received the plug or the bike cleaner I paid for and no one is answering my emails!! To add to this, my puncture resistant tyre that I paid extra for keeps going flat, so I suspect there is a puncture...

Happy? Not really. When I stumbled across Mango Bikes I was so impressed with the custom made feature and by email, spoke with sales who were very helpful and filled me with confidence. The full priced bikes were on offer with 25% discount - can’t go wrong eh? My order was placed on Weds 18/12 and everything I read indicated a 2 day build and 2 day delivery and a chance for a Xmas delivery however the build lead time was more like 7 working days, and the delivery 3/4 days. The bike was dispatched on 31/12 from Ireland and after a few days it was confirmed delivery would be Monday 6/1, today. Although everything has been much slower than anticipated what I didn’t expect was my delivery to be split and only the pedals, reflector and spanners to be delivered today and to be told the second part won’t be with me till tomorrow, 7/1. I’m so fed up with Mango bikes! I’ve waited and taken time off so soon in the new year only to have to organise it all again for tomorrow. Although Mango have been slower than I wanted, their Irish courier company have been very helpful, however their UK counterpart are an absolute joke! I will stick with Halfords in the future. Saying this, I’ve not seen the bike yet and I maybe pleasantly surprised - I hope so.

I've had my Custom Singlespeed (matt black) for almost three and a half years, and in that time, I estimate that I've covered over 5000 miles. I commute 5 days a week through the year - rain or shine - and the bike continues to please me every time I get on. It handles great, is really comfortable and is nimble in traffic. Yes, the order date to dispatch date was a little longer than expected, but the bike was so cheap that I decided it was worth it, and I'm glad that I waited. Modifications that I recommend would be a decent pair of tyres, a new freewheel and perhaps some narrower bullhorn bars. I have had to replace a number of consumables (namely the tyres, brake pads, chain, chainrings, freewheel, headset and wheel bearings) but the rest of the bike continues to soldier on - and to be fair, the consumables are just because I ride so regularly and in such harsh conditions. I have geared the bike up slightly to give a higher top speed which suits the bike better for my particular commute. The only downsides are the weak freewheel (which I think may no longer be a problem as they have changed to a different brand) and easily damaged decals. Overall, I would highly recommend any of the Singlespeed models as they offer great value for money and are a hoot to ride in towns.

Cannot recommend Mango Bikes enough! The customer service was perfect when on the online chat. Andrew was very kind and helped me choose the correct bike for the activities i will be doing and helped select the best accessories i needed. Very quick delivery and easy to assemble. Only a slight scratch to the quick release leaver due to falling over in the van but not Mango's fault and overall a great company! Thank you so much!

I'd been looking for some bullhorn bars if a particular width (and for a reasonable price) for some time and finally found some on the Mango Bikes website. Good quality, perfect shape and at reasonable price. Delivery was prompt and well packed.

Arrived promptly with great after sales. Has made riding too and from uni much more enjoyable. Would recommend upgraded pedals and tires from base as originals will wear out quickly
