After my original Mango saddle died a death after about 17 years, I ordered a new saddle. It arrived promptly, was easy to fit onto my bike, and looks epic! I honestly think it's made my bike look new again, even after all these years! Thank you :)

I’ve sent at least five emails asking about the yellow tyres and whether they will come back into stock and been completely ignored! Just had red tyres delivered and that service was fine but I won’t be using your company again as I won’t be ignored when the market place is saturated!

There were several problems with my order which I will get to shortly, but first, the good: If this review were based solely on the bike, it'd be a 5/5. The bike that I received from Mango was exactly as described, made from quality parts, clearly installed and tuned with care. I had to do nothing to the gears nor brakes out-of-the-box - completely perfect! As you'd expect for a bike of the entry-level price it is, it's all entry-level Shimano stuff, but there's nothing wrong IMO with entry-level Shimano stuff, and it's all brand-new parts. Bolts all seemed to be torqued correctly, wheels were completely true & circular and bearings all felt good. The bike overall feels plenty sturdy but pleasingly light, though I am not someone who is trying to push their bike(s) as hard as possible - I'm not that fit! The paintjob is immaculate and the colour matches of parts made from different materials, while imperfect, are not bad at all. For my bike, I ordered pink tyres, bar tape and pedals, and the match is almost perfect between the bar tape and tyres. The pedals leave a little to be desired on this point, but it's not bad by any stretch. Now, onto the bad. I don't want to rail against Mango here, so I'm going to offer what I think is a bit of useful context. Mango Bikes appears to be a tiny company. Their LinkedIn page lists the company as having 2-10 employees, and there's a post from last year stating that they manage to send out "4000+" bikes per year. Now, I have no way of verifying that this is accurate, however the feeling I get about Mango, from the experince I've had, is that it does seem reasonably accurate. So best-case scenario, with 4000 bikes and 10 employees in a 262 day working year of 8-hour working days, each one of their employees has 5.2 working hours in which to build a bike start-to-finish. Selecting parts, getting the paint done (which seems to be outsourced - so this is more logistical than painting it themselves), building, tuning & testing. That's rapid. But realistically they won't have 5.2 hours per bike: there probably aren't 10 employees, and they cannot all be full-time bicycle engineers. Someone has to do the finances. Someone's got to respond to emails. So.. yeah. The emails. I ordered an OG 8-speed in early May. After the automatic order confirmation, the first contact I had was a couple of weeks later. I was told that their delivery of OG 8-speed frames had been delayed, and that it'd be an unknown additional wait, but offered an approx 2/3 price cut on a DOGG upgrade. Essentially an identical bike, but with disc brakes, for a price that's more than reasonable. Fine, things happen, especially in supply chains in the still-very-much-COVID-addled world. I went for the upgrade. I got given an estimated dispatch date of a week after that (2nd June). That date came and went. I pestered on the 9th of June for an update. And then on the 15th. And on the 4th of July, 2 weeks after I first pestered and over a month after my last message from the company, I finally got an update - estimated dispatch 14th July. Apparently a mistake had been made and my fork hadn't been sent for painting. OK, mistakes happen. I must just be unlucky to have two problems with one order, but a message would have been nice. The 14th came and went and I waited my usual week before pestering. On the 27th I received an email that looked like it came through the sales system (it had all the fancy mango branding that the support emails don't) to tell me my bike was going to ship imminently. On the 30th I got an email from DPD Ireland (Ireland being where Mango is now based) telling me it was arriving *today*. And it did! The day after I got an email from Mango telling me it'd been shipped. So, to summarise my woes: I was left waiting for updates on the bike on 3 separate occasions for more than 2 weeks - and one of those times was almost an entire month, if we take the estimated dispatch as the day I started waiting for an update. My bike was dispatched almost 3 months after my original order. The estimated average turnaround time for OG bikes currently listed on Mango's Bike Availability page is 2-3 weeks. Every communication I had was with Andrew, the owner of the company. Overall, that, to me, gives credence to the notion that they truly do have a small number of employees and that most of them are engineers. I doubt they have anyone other than Andrew managing their email inboxes, the support system & social media. That seems like something of a smart move: the person who has all the power to make decisions becomes the one who knows the most about how people feel about the company. I hope in my communication with him, and indeed in this review that I was being cordial and fair, but also not sugar-coating that I expected better, especially in terms of communication. To conclude: Mango makes quality bikes that are a joy to ride with as beautiful or ugly a colour scheme as you want at an outrageously affordable price. It just seems like there's a high chance for there to be an issue which makes them need twice as long to build the bike as expected, and when there is a problem it takes them between two weeks and a month to respond to an email as well. Maybe move house *before* placing an order. But you'll be happy when it does arrive.

Ordered a bespoke OG bike. It took a month from order to delivery but when I’d heard nothing and chased them up, I was advised they were short staffed with a lot of orders, fair enough. Bike arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble apart from they hadn’t put the Gatorskin tyres on I’d specified and paid for, just had the bog standard ones. With the delay on receiving and even tho I was out of pocket I didn’t make a fuss as I had a spare pair of Gatorskins I could use. I’ve used Mango before and always found them to be excellent so I hope this was just a rare glitch.

Great bike, great price. The final product looks brilliant. Only complaint is a slight lack of communication after ordering, I had no communication for a few weeks and couldn’t get a response via email or phone. I managed to get a response via Instagram eventually, and all was smooth from there.

Terrible customer service. Completely ignored most of the time. Took far far longer than advertise to deliver and then when it did finally turn up parts of the order were wrong. One of the worst companies I’ve ever ver had the misfortune of dealing with.

I got my bike but no info that it would take 4weeks. Customer service only replies to to every second message. Bike came with the wrong tyres and no response by customer service. But hey they send really Funny newsletters, that’s a huge help.

I ordered a bike from Mango. The product is probably decent but unfortunately just not for me. It was heavier than I would have liked and the handlebar was not suitable. They offered that I could order a new handlebar to be shipped to a local bike shop that could replace it for me, or to return the bike and gave me the return address. I chose to return it and since then I’ve not been able to reach Andrew or anyone at this company. They received my returned bike according to Parcelforce on 12th June which is over 6 weeks ago. I’ve sent multiple emails and called many times but there’s complete radio silence. I had seen the bad reviews on Trustpilot before I bought the bike, so I can’t say I wasn’t warned. I’ve raised a dispute with my credit card company as I’ve given up on wasting my time and energy on this.

I'm officially in love with my Mango fixed gear/single speed bike. I upgraded to the fancy 6-spoke wheels which are super strong and pleasantly comfortable (they've also had plenty of admirers!). Not the lightest bike, but I wanted something practical for the winter months that will also build my strength more than a geared bike. This bike feels like it can take whatever nature throws at it (still need to maintain it though!) I would have given five stars, but there was no reply to my emails and no updates on how long it would take to build and be delivered (mine took about two weeks, which is excellent). Hopefully, Mango can sort this out but that's the only criticism I have… and I'm already thinking about getting another one!

Mango sent me a faulty bike... Their customer service is dreadful. I have tried.. calling, emailing, web chat, instagram DM, commenting on instagram MULTIPLE times. I rarely like to leave bad reveiws, especially on small businesses but when I have spent almost £600 on a brand new bike you would like to have thought the parts would be tested before they are shipped. I had to fork out to buy a brand new wheel so I could ride it. I took it to a local bike shop to check the bike and how it was put together, they confirmed it was put together fine and that the rear wheel was faulty and so was one of the pedals. I managed to get a reply from Mango on the web chat saying they were going to help me and that they had emailed me (which is a lie, I've not received a single email and nothing in my spam/ junk folders...) Since this messaged I am ghosted... The payment method I have chosen has been paused and put on hold until you fix this issue - so far it's been almost 3 weeks of chasing and being ghosted... hopefully a negative review will get your attention but I won't hold my breath. This is such a shame - the bikes are quality and now I have a new wheel it rides well... the customer service has MASSIVELY let you down and sadly ruined my experience - which could have been super easy and simple and quickly fixed, I am a very laid back person and really didn't mind if I had to wait for a new wheel and pedal to be sent... unforunately the follow up customer care is massively lacking and has really ruined the experience for me - sadly I would avoid... I wish I got an Oliver bike instead! To make matters worse you constantly send emails asking for reviews... just reply to my issues and sort it.

I’ve had my mango single speed for 10 years, best bike I’ve ever bought. Love it! It just runs and runs and runs. Always come back for my accessories as well, great price, great service, great bikes.

Really cool to deal with Mango bikes but have only given 3 starts due to the the quality of the product I have bought is in question. Love the handle bar bag but the straps are really poorly finished and after only 1 use the threads are all frayed and the due to the design of the straps they will always catch on the lip of the locking mechanism and will get worse.

Easy customisation and ordering process and good Comms throughout the build process. And the bike is awesome. Great fun to ride and well geared which means it isn't just for flat rides.

My bike is absolutely amazing. Honestly, the best bike I've ever owned, and I've owned more expensive bikes than this. It's a joy to ride and the colourway I chose is phenomenal. I get so many compliments for it and people are constantly asking me where I got it from. Don't hesitate to buy a custom bike. It's a one of one design.
