“The box used for packing could have been smaller , it could have held 10 units instead of the 1unit we ordered”

I apologise you were unhappy with the packaging unfortunately we can only carry stock of a limited number of sizes of outer carton and will always choose the most suitable for the product to enable it to reach its destination in the best condition. Although this may seem wastefull all of our outer boxes and the inner packaging are fully recycled. Kim Puttick Customer Services Manager

“A very straightforward transaction . Everything came correctly and quickly. We are just a small sports club so will never be big customers. The products were jeplacement lamps so I haven't commented on them individually below.”

I am sorry you had a problem locating the item you required,although we try to make the process as easy as possible with so many variations of very similar items it can sometimes be difficult to ensure the choice is correct. Our sales team are well trained in our products and are always happy to help with any queries. “Generally Lyco provide an efficient service but I did have problems placing my internet order on the 28th February as I had to imput the information twice and so was not sure if I had dupicated the order. In the end only one order came but the price showing on the internet was not exactly the same as on the final invoice. The 5 watt Philips bulb turned out not to be compatible with my existing transformers (although the Lyco webite said it would be compatible with most tranformers) and so was useless to me. I need a 7 or 8 watt (old 50 watt halogen equivalent) led spotlight with a wde angle (about 60 degrees) in warm white but can't find them on our website. Please can you source them for me.”

I am sorry you had a problem with your initial order and hope customer service have been able to resolve any issues for you. The 60deg LED you are looking for is not something we are able to offer at the moment, due to the way the light is emmited from an LED the large beam angles generally give out less light than the narrower ones, this is something we will be looking out for as LED technology moves forward. “Quick service, but there should be a cheaper postage option for those not in a hurry for goods. The amber coloured light which we wanted has been out of stock since Christmas yet the site indicates it will be in stock in 7 days.”

Unfortunately the carrier we use do not offer such an option on mainland deliveries and no other provider have ever given us the reliablity and service we require to ensure the goods get to our customers on time and in good condition. Kim Puttick Customer Service Manager

“The only problem I encountered in ordering the bulbs was over sizing. The socket size on our new light fitting is E14 but this was not mentioned on the bulb spec. on your website, which offered a number of options. This meant I had to take an educated guess that the smaller size listed was the one I needed. Otherwise everything was fine.”

I am sorry you had a problem with the sizing on your lamps. The E14/E22 refers to sizing standards used in Europe, the 14 refers to the 14mm diameter of the base of the lamp, we would call that a Small Edison Screw or SES. E27 being a Standard Edison Screw or ES at 27mm diameter hope this helps for the future. Should you ever need help our sales team would be only too pleased to assist. “Very efficient. Competetive prices on most things, but not everything. Would prefer a "Fre Delivery" option for small orders, even if this takes longer than the "Next Day" delivery.”
