“Good service.delivered nextday. Only comment why are energy saving bulbs some 6 times dearer than their tungsten equivalent? Don't encourage conservation does it?”

I am glad you were pleased with the service offered. The lighting industry has been hit with price rises in the metals used in production of these lamps, despite this Lyco have a system of price checking in place which ensures we stay level or better on price than our competition. In times of increasing energy prices the lower energy usage of these lamps can make a large difference to your bills. Jayne Bates Customer Service

“Helpful staff when you ring up and prompt delivery service. The packaging the bulbs were sent in does seem a little "over the top" and a waste but I appreciate that the goods have to arrive intact”

“Overall Lyco is a good company to deal with. One point however is that even though they say you have next day delivery on orders placed before 4:45pm, I did not find that the case. I placed mine before 4pm and did not get my delivery until two days later. This wasn't a problem, but they shouldn't make the next day delivery promise.”

Thank you for your comments. I could however find no hold up with your parcel, upon checking with Fedex the parcel was dispatched on Thursday 26/7 and delivery was made the next day at 12.34pm Friday 27/7 to S Scott. Jayne Bates Customer Service

“I have been using lyco for years - mainly for bulbs for my large house. Excellent service. Recently I bought 30 bulbs over the web, and the discount wasn't applied. I emailed Lyco, and they immediately gave me the discount via a refund.”

“Really good range of lighting products. Nice to see that there are still some itemds in the catalogue that were there some years ago. As a business it's nice to know that we can replace emergency/standard light fittings with the original pattern items we bought from Lyco 6 or 7 years ago to kit out our new 4 bedroom extension. My only minor criticism is that the boxes they use to transport items in seem a little flimsy and are often damaged when they arrive: That said the contents are always well packed and rarely suffer damage.”

“I think LYCO is a great company and is very efficient in how it delivers . The problems I have had is writing several times to the web site and not receiving any feedback this time. We did buy the tubes to go greener but we were not told how to prepare for the tubes, what was required, any alterations to the existing fittings, whether these will work or not work and sadly this time round LYCO were only interested in making a sale. I now have tubes that I a, unable to use as I have to get hold of an expert to tell me what I need to do to make them light up.”

I am sorry you have had a problem with these lamps, they are compatible with most fittings (with only a small adjustment on certain types of fittings) but all details of this adjustment are clearly stated in the description wording on the item page. Due to safety we are unable to advise on electrical fitting and would always recommend you contact a certified electrician to make any necessary adjustment. Jayne Bates Customer Service
