“Unfortunately I was looking for a specific type of surveyor ie rubber roofing and not a general structual surveyor so on this occasion the web site was not helpful.”

“I was inundated constantly from the very second I clicked for quotes. Tons of phonecalls, texts emails. Extremely frustrating and not clear that this would happen. I was actually hoping to contact just one of the suppliers not loads.”

“I was sent surveyors in my home area not in the area where my property was that wished to have an EPC done. I had put in the Postcode for my property in Coventry but I live in Leicestershire.”

“The website was simple enough to follow but I have to report that 48 hours later, neither of the two surveyors I contacted, have responded. Local Surveyors Direct has therefore been of no use to me.”

“Good comparison, but didn't appreciate all the sales phone calls due to my details being passed on to the surveyors. I just wanted the prices for comparison, not to be pestered. Don't recall an option to accept or opt out of that, and phone number was mandatory.”

“I got the service I needed but I was bombarded with calls and emails. There should be an option to opt out of sharing my contact details with the suveyors, and instead just receive one email with all the quotes. I needed 2 quotes and I have 8 text messages, 9 voicemails, about 15 missed calls, and 10 emails (+2 emails from that compile all the quotes, which is the only thing I needed).”

“I sent off 5 requests to the architects reccomended in my area. I received 2 replies to say they would be interested in the project. One to say they would not but no replies from 2 of the firms. I consider that any architect on the list should respond even if to say that they not interested in the project”

“I was bombarded with texts and phone ca!!s. I would not have left my phone number if I'd been warned of this. One quote for a two-bedroom apartment rose from £645 plus Vat to £895 plus Vat upon preliminary contact: the explanation given was that the flat was duplex. I'm afraid I regard that as sharp practice. I went with a different quote.”
