“Called heston locksmiths and they sent a person from keys4less. The website gives an estimate of £40-70 max, but we were forced to pay £160 for a 2 second job. The locksmith said he doesnt understand english and was yelling outside the house. “total scam. told one price on the phone and suddenly after he just drilled the lock out he demands more than 3 times this price without any warning or agreement made (which he then claims he did - there are 2 of us and he had said nothing). I would avoid this company at all costs.”

“I am pleased that the locksmith was able to open the door but unfortunately not happy with the rest of the custom given.He was tried to overcharge me for the service and the price for the lock that was given was outrageous when checked online it was a much cheaper lock that the price given by the serviceman unfortunately won't be using the services again. “Utter disgrace of a company. Complete rip off merchants. My wifes key snapped off in the lock (cheap versa lock the same company fitted 10 months ago that costed £230). The door was open so the cylinder just needed replacing. VERY SIMPLE JOB. The bloke quoted £160 + VAT (just parts) for the replacement Versa cylinder and 5 keys. This seemed incredibly steep so I googled how much one is available for on the internet. Between £8 and £11. Yes you read that correctly. Between £8 and £11. On top of that he wanted to £80 + VAT for labour. Subsequently I have also googled "how to change a euro cylinder". This job LITERALLY takes less than 2 minutes. I called the All Service 4U offices to question the prices and they immediately gave me a discount from £250 down to £200. I then told the installer I wouldn't pay a penny more than £150 Inc VAT and he agreed. I bought a top of the range Yale Euro Cylinder from Amazon for £35 and fitted it myself the next day in less than two minutes as I wasn't comfortable with the cheap versa parts they had used. He also used a cylinder that was too short as he didn't have the right part. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Find an honest local locksmith. IF YOU DO HAVE TO USE THIS COMPANY DO NOT LET THEM RIP YOU OFF.”

“I found this company on the internet and thinking they were local called them out. Big mistake.I agree these people are not interested in good work practice or giving you your money back for a shoddy job.
Damaged my door and thought it was ok.
Got locked out because of the work done .
Do not have these guys do work for you .

“Absolute scam, abysmal service; AVOID BEING RIPPED OFF BY THEM.
Quoted a 'total' of £70 incl VAT, technician turns up and increases it to £130. Technician is unbelievably rude, aggressive and unpleasant, asking provocative questions like 'so you don't want this door unlocked then'?
I tell him to call the company, and I do so myself. He storms out and leaves. Absolutely NO professionalism whatsoever. Also very much got the sense that he thought he could intimidate me, me being a young woman and him a large man. Patronising and sexist manner.
Called them twice, was told I would get a call back. The next day, I still haven't. What a joke.
They advertise as licensed-they're not licensed nor MLA (Master Locksmith Association) approved. So, false advertising.
In short, read the other reviews on Trust Pilot. They've done this to tonnes more customers, quoting them £59+ VAT then ripping them off for £220-500 when they arrive and taking advantage of people's goodwill. They also take card details and make UNAUTHORISED CHARGES ON PEOPLE'S CARDS and then lie about it. Which is theft.
So: fraudulent, thieves, liars and scammers. Will be reporting to Trading Standards for investigation.”

However, because of the time of day you were quoted £89 plus VAT if simple to open. As the lock was not simple to open the locksmith discussed the work required and agreed a price with you. On completion you did not want to pay the agreed price and offered a lesser amount, which the locksmith was forced to accept.
You did not want to replace the lock which would have covered the hole left by the lock.

“I was told on the phone the price would be £70. When the engineer turned up, he advisef that we charge me approx £150 however the normal price was £196. I refused outright and told him he could leave without completing the job. He then dfopped the price to £84. Clearly trying to rip me off!”
