Laid turf on ground that was rotavated and topsoil put down. Kept watered. Within 2 days it started to go brown and shrunk back leaving gaps. Rung them up. Woman on phone said I shouldn't of bought it as it was so warm and it was my fault. Why sell it then?

Turf had quite a few yellow patches on delivery and when questioned I was told it was very dry when it was cut. It certainly did not look like the pictures on TurfOnline. On that note, it was delivered from Turfland who do not have the 'Jubilee' turf so who knows what I received. What I found most disturbing was the number of damaged rolls of turf that should never have been sent. I did try to contact TurfOnline but needless to say reply was never received. I think a partial refund is in order. Will not use again.

What a disaster! I should have read the reviews. Zero customer service. I have ZERO goods and a bill for £560. This company do not read web application orders. I specifically stated that I required delivery by a small vehicle, that the delivery would be over gravel and I needed the turf and topsoil to be deposited near my front door. My order was accepted. An acknowledgment of order was displayed on the screen but no confirmation email. Furthermore, there was there was NO communication from the company saying that this type of delivery was not possible. The delivery was attempted two days later by an independent (local) road haulage company which used an enormous lorry that was too large to manoeuvre onto my drive. The delivery driver had not received any instructions about using a small vehicle and could not unload on to the narrow road, so returned to his depot with the topsoil and turf. I filed the problem on the “Contact Us” website page that night. Expecting a phone call or email the following morning, I waited until 14:30 before telephoning TurfOnline, only to told that the form goes to “a different office” and nobody in Customer Service had seen it! After extensive phone calls explaining the problem, the Operations Manager made the decision that there would be ZERO refund. There was no offer to attempt to resolve the problem with a redelivery using a smaller vehicle. They simply washed their hands of the whole contract. This company needs to align their online ordering system, their communications with external haulage contractors and their Customer Service, which may then result in a positive customer experience.

I had a delivery last Friday I have never had so many split thus or Ines with holes in. I have rang turf online and told them. I was asked to email and still have not had a reply

Turf is good quality but service is poor!advised by company a time it would turn up came 3 hours later. When turf turned up only 50% of the order was there. I now have a 5 hour round trip to lay 10m2 of turf.will definitely not recommend these or use in the feature. Customer service adviser even hung the phone up on me. No good will offered by company to even cover the cost of my fuel let alone my time.

The quality of the turf was very poor, it's seen totally dried up maybe due to transportion.

We ordered turf and were told that it would come the next day... it didn't. When we called to ask where it was they had plenty of excuses but at no point even attempted to contact us and let us know that they could not fulfil our delivery .... bad customer service!!

Many thanks for your feedback and we apologise for your experience. We have a close working relationship with our delivery partners but very occasionally we are not aware of issues until after the event which doesn't help in keeping the customer informed. I will look into the specifics of this case to see if there are lessons to be learned.

The whole order was incorrect, paid for a timed delivery and only half arrived (we refused delivery as turf arrived and none of the top soil or kit ) cost us £400 for the gardener as still had to pay him. Rude delivery driver and 6 days latter we are still chasing the refund and no response to email.

I placed my order on 5th May, called to confirm details of delivery, checked details, took a days holiday to make sure I was there for delivery. I have just been called on the 24th May, 2 days before the delivery, to be informed that it won't be there because you didn't realise where I lived even though you had my address! Inept.

Sitting here waiting for turf to arrive at 4.30 in the afternoon.not a happy chap,finally arrived at 5.45.turf not as good as i've had from you before,in fact there was an ants nest in a couple of rolls

I am very disappointed with your company. I booked time off work to lay a lawn. I ordered the turf from your company and paid an additional fee to have the early delivery slot. When the turf arrived the delivery driver asked me "are you ready to have some dead lawn delivered?" The turf was yellow/green, didn't look healthy and the soil was dry, very light in colour. I don't normally complain, unless I have reason, but on this occasion felt this turf wasn't up to my expectations. When I spoke with your customer services I was told to lay the lawn and it will come back - a big gamble to take! - what would have happened if it hadn't taken? I decided to send the turf back with the driver, I then spoke with your company a few hours later and informed "I will not have a refund or replacement. We feel the turf was perfectly fine and we told you to lay it." So the moral of this story is: buy products on line and if you are not happy - tough, except whatever we give you. I now have a garden of soil, no more time off work, no turf to lay and no refund to buy any more turf. Appalling customer service!

Turf was brown and completely dry. No straight edges but rather chunks of turf missing along edges. Will not be using this company again.

Uninterested and unprofessional telephone staff. Order taken wrongly so only half of what we needed. Delivery phone call not received as no message left. Second call, first operator again disinterested and when asked if they had a Customer Service Department, said yes , then came back and took details herself. Eventually put through to Leanne who was helpful. Second delivery phoned when on site rather than before, as we are ten minutes away and had asked for half an hours warning. Won't be using this company again, even though the owners are related to my son in law.

I paid the £30 premium delivery for pre 11am delivery which failed to arrive on time. I had 2 gardeners (who I pay by the hour) waiting. When the wagon turned up over half an hour late it took 4 of us over 40 minutes to get the ton of topsoil down to street level. The turf was lopsided on the pallet and even 4 of us couldn't straighten it up. There was a whole in the floor of the van which the wheel of the pallet lifting device got stuck in. When we eventually freed this problem the button to operate the truck tail was faulty which meant me going into the road to lower the driver and pallet. Same episode with the turf. I've just called to ask for a refund of the premium delivery charge and was told you can't do anything about the traffic and only half an hour late is ok. The exact words were 11 means 11ish and half an hour is a reasonable delay. I'm absolutely fuming and close to tears. This has been the worse experience ever and what's more my main gardener has put his back out by helping with thursdays delivery fiasco and is out of action!

I needed extra turf to finish off my garden, I was advised I can get the same turf at the local builders merchant nearby. Once the turf was established it was clear that it was not the same. I have contacted turfonline several times and have not had any response, I now need to spend another £350 buying turf that matches.

Ordered 32 metres but only 12 metres were delivered. We had to wait 6 days for the remaining 20 metres. Appears to be good quality though.

Paid extra for a delivery for a pre 11am - eventually turned up at 1.15pm - no calls and even when i called the office twice and promised a call back nobody called. Emailed twice to the email address provided and again no reply. Very poor customer service

still waiting for delivery of order. Ordered on 10.4.17. T N T express!! More like tortoise with a hernia. Have received no communication from either company and now dont need the product as have laid my lawn.
