I have always used you for turf because of the high quality, but I was very disappointed with the quality as it was brown and very dry. It looked like it had been sitting around for a while. This caused me conflict with my paying customer.

Product arrived and looked more like hay when I unrolled it. No response from customer service despite emailing in 3 times with pictures. I've watered it religiously since laying but it's just dead... AVOID.

Turf arrived on time and was delivered to my garden. Unfortunately upon opening the turf it was extremely dry and brittle, and a couple of rolls broke. After laying the turf only 2 days ago it is going yellow even after regular watering. I could only inspect the visible turf on the pallet, the turf underneath was hidden. I am hoping that I can recover the laid turf. Turf does not appear to have been watered prior to delivery. It is dying rather quickly now.

Had delivery of turf, which was prompt and arrived in good time. Upon inspection however found a number of pallets with the grass of very poor condition. One pallet the grass rolls I was unable to even lift off without them breaking up. After numerous correspondence the best the company could offer was for me to pay them over £70 for delivery of another pallet. So much for the company moto of 'Caring for our customers & Our pleasure is your satisfaction with the product'. If you order, just hope it arrives to your satisfaction , otherwise expect to pay more for a something you wanted right in the first place.

We bought turf and topsoil and it was delivered around 3:30pm in Friday. The topsoil was put down and then the turf on the Saturday morning. The turf was dead, black, steaming and had mould inside it. I complained but was told it needed to go down the same day so we have to buy more. I accept that it should go down the same day but suspect the turf had been laying around for a bit longer than normal when sent to us because I have not seen it so bad, within 24 hours.

Hi there, Sorry to hear about your turf. In warm weather at this time of year, turf will heat up and deteriorate very quickly so it's vital that turf is laid on the day of delivery. Please be assured that we always harvest turf fresh to order the day before delivery so it arrives with you in the best possible condition. Delivery driver was in such a hurry that he did not want to wait for me to move my car to place my order in my driveway. He basically said he could not wait 30 seconds. He left my order in the middle of my road and drove off. I called the TurfOnline to make a complain and literally told me that is the 'standard service' they always provide and some drivers are under a lot of pressure to make many deliveries in one day. That is the reason that drivers can be often rude. First time I use Turfonline and certainly the last one.

My complaint relates to your delivery process, in which your driver decided not to drive along the road outside my house on the grounds that it was too small, however, large oil tankers manage this road as do the local authority dust carts etc. etc. As a result I had to pay significant additional delivery charges. Even though these costs were divided I remain very annoyed at the drivers lack of gumption. The turf once delivered was of good quality.

Absolutely appalling customer service! Delivered damaged turf (the turf had clearly been sitting in their delivery van for several hours on a hot day) and try to put the blame on me even though I had followed all their instructions correctly in terms of rolling out the turfs and laying as soon as the delivery arrived. No gesture of goodwill or refund was offered and I have essentially lost my money! I would advise everyone to stay well away! DO NOT USE!!! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Delivery was made next day which it was what I expected. I email customer service as I was charged for a Saturday delivery. Still awaiting response and refund.

Great grass. terrible customer service. items missing from my delivery, i called on the day and asked not to be charged for it. No refund, I emailed them about this a couple of weeks later. No response.

Ordered turf for a Friday, never turned up either Friday or Saturday, phone just kept going to a Christmas voicemail this is April? Rang Monday sales advisor said had no knowledge of the delivery even though I gave here delivery reference from email I received, waiting on phone finally she come back and said it was a technical error” would not offer any compensation only a bottle of lawn fertiliser’ even though I had landscapers waiting to lay it Friday and Saturday at a hourly cost to me tottaling over £350.00 did not even receive a call to tell me wasn’t coming, or an apology, finally delivered on Tuesday 4 days late’ never use again

The delivery turned up a day late and was missing part of the order. Despite 4 phone calls to see if the delivery was coming I never once got a call back. When I reported that it was missing I was promised a response - never got one.

ecoearth delivered was very poor quality mostly lumps of clay - product is supposed to be for turf seedlings and borders - I was mixing with largely compost and eventually broke up the clay although was very hard work. I should have advised the delivery man to send it back - I will never use this firm again

Incredibly disappointing service ultimately resulting in me receiving no turf, topsoil and boards and most shockingly, no refund. Fortunately I paid via PayPal who determined Turfonline were at fault & found in my favour, so I received all my money back and successfully ordered and received what I needed online with another company. If I had not paid via this method I would still be waiting for any kind of refund. I cannot comment on the quality of the goods since I never received any, but the customer service was appalling.

Very disappointed with quality,especially as they had used plastic material as the backing to hold turfs together ,This is not enviromently friendly as it appears not to be biodegradable .I f I had known this I wouldn’t have made this purchase.

Good morning, Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the turf you received. Could you please email sales@harrowdenturf.co.uk so that we can address the quality issues you mentioned. As regards the turf netting, we use this to increase the strength of the rolls you receive, making them easier to handle. This also reduces the time required to produce the turf, reducing our carbon footprint associated with mowing a maintaining turf fields for a longer period of time. The net is entirely biodegradable and after 18 months will have no more strength than the grass roots itself. Spent over £350 for turf for my lawn. Two pallets arrived and I laid the turf as suggested on the website. The turf was watered well and the day after it was laid the rolls from the second pallet were already going brown. I contacted turf online who then sent me a generic email telling me how to water grass and ignoring my problem. I have recently asked them to replace the 14 rolls that had died and they have continued to ignore me so be very careful before spending your money. I paid for the best all rounder as well so didn't even go for the cheaper stuff thanks turf online for your terrible customer service

Not impressed at all, turf started to die off after 3 weeks. I was told I could buy some seed when I called you, there is no money back or turf replacement as advertised on your site. Very poor!!

The order was obviously contracted out for delivery. On arrival the pallets had been double stacked and jammed in to the extent the delivery could not be made - it was made mid- afternoon the following day. On looking at the turf it was in a very poor condition and has obviously been cut, rolled and stacked several days previously. Am bitterly disappointed with the quality of service - the whole exercise has been a nightmare.

Waited all day for my delivery. Made umpteen phone calls to find out what was happening. Was promised phone calls back but never happened. Delivery finally arrived 7 hours late

I ordered 15m2 of grass and 2 70lts play grade bark. I got 2 bags of 500kg of bark on Friday 23th/06. This 2 massive barks stayed the whole weekend in front of my house obstructing people use the walkway. Someone came and collected the 2 big bags on Monday 26th/06 and didn't leave my 2x 70lts Play Bark. I left a message at your voice mail and got no return. So far I don't have my Play Bark. What's going on???
